Chapter 346: Chapter 286 Special Ability - Lady’s Companion_1

Now, it was purely a forced confrontation.

The Demigod Ruptured Palm had merely glanced at them, and it already forced all of Gaven’s trump cards to come to light.

Once it reabsorbed all its divine nature and focused its attention wholly on them, their fate would be sealed.

Especially since there was still a Dwarves Vampire Sacrificer lurking in hiding somewhere.

The only way out Gaven could think of was to Destroy Evil and see if he could use the power of the Law to destroy the Demigod Ruptured Palm.

Even if the chances were minuscule, he had to try.

Waiting for death was never his style.

"Good," Lord Virginia wasted no words and cast a Flying Spell on himself.

The best support was to go together.

Without resisting deliberately, their innate flying ability, combined with the pulling force of the Demigod Ruptured Palm, closed the distance very quickly.

But the closer they got to the Demigod Ruptured Palm, the stronger the sucking force they felt.

To maintain the connection between soul consciousness and body became more difficult.

Lord Virginia wrapped his arms around Gaven’s waist and focused on communicating with the Fairy Wilderness, reaching out to the Dragon Oak Mother Tree.

The silhouette of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree grew clearer behind them, the rich Power of Verdant Life enveloped them, forming a protective membrane.

It supported their ascent against the stream.

When they were about three meters away from the Demigod Ruptured Palm.

Gaven and his allies clearly felt an invisible resistance.

The Flying Spell on Lord Virginia ceased to work on the spot, putting all his weight onto Gaven.

However, both Gaven’s Energy Dragon Wings and the protective membrane made of Life Force were unaffected.

The former was a Special Ability, an extension of the soul consciousness, akin to the wings of giant dragons and birds, a part of oneself, not considered magic.

While the Life Force originated from the Dragon Oak Mother Tree, it was truly existent and was likewise not considered magic.

At this moment, Gaven’s right hand shone with a dazzling bright white light and reached for the Demigod Ruptured Palm.

It seemed to sense a threat.

The Demigod Ruptured Palm turned abruptly, its grasp moving from the Fine Gold Coffin to face Gaven squarely.

Only then did Gaven notice there was an eye embedded in the very center of the palm.

A bright and beautiful eye, which, if all else was ignored, would be considered the epitome of beauty, brimming with infinite charm as it fluttered.

However, paired with the form of a hand, it was as bizarre as it could get.

The emotions flowing from this eye made Gaven very uncomfortable.

Malice, rage, hate, jealousy, and more—it was all raw negative emotions, with no trace of positivity.

At such proximity, even under the triple protections of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree, Weizemay Manor, and the Tears of Sulun, Gaven’s soul consciousness was ruthlessly wrenched out.

At this moment, the single eye in the palm seemed more like a greedy mouth, eager to devour Gaven’s soul.

Overclocking!

Gaven activated his last trump card.

This was a reward during his time of transcendent intelligence, a Special Ability he had acquired long ago, but it had never been used in actual combat until now.

After all, being pushed to reveal all his cards was a first since his rebirth.

Its first use in combat didn’t mean it was its first use.

In fact, this ability was used daily.

On days when he was certain no battles would occur, he would engage in six minutes of explosive training—acclimating to this special state.

An increase of two points in strength and dexterity was significant, plus there was the Bionic Art enhancing strength and dexterity; his combat style was quite different.

What Gaven was leveraging now wasn’t the physical attribute enhancement that came with Overclocking.

It was the high-frequency vibration of soul consciousness during Overclocking.

Overclocking, the ability born from a powerful soul consciousness interacting with the body, was a very personalized ability, specifically targeting Gaven’s strong soul consciousness.

Entering such a state tightened the link between his soul consciousness and body like never before.

Parts of Gaven’s soul consciousness, already being pulled out, were forcibly yanked back.

In a tug-of-war, Gaven reached the Demigod Ruptured Palm and without hesitation, caught it with his brightly glowing right hand.

Crack, crack, crack!

Gaven felt what he held wasn’t a slender and cool little hand but a fine gold metal stone, one of immense strength.

It shook frantically, seemingly trying to break free from his grasp.

Gaven didn’t hesitate to activate Bionic Art: Bull’s Strength.

The moment he seized the Demigod Ruptured Palm, the Anti-Magic Area surrounding it dissipated.

Destroy Evil, this ability.

Was far stronger than Gaven had imagined.

Or perhaps it naturally countered, exerting a suppressive effect.

While it didn’t utterly overwhelming like it did with the Evil God Sigil Ring and the Deformed Golden Crown, it was unquestionably effective, albeit slowly.

And the Demigod Ruptured Palm was not a mere inanimate object—it wouldn’t simply wait in resignation.

It struggled madly, all the while drawing divinity more fervently from the Undead.

Gaven’s hand, as if rooted to the spot, exerted all its strength to emit the holy light.

It quickly turned into a battle of attrition.

When the Demigod Ruptured Palm finished drawing from the Undead Divinity, it began to draw the Divine Child Elvis’s strength from afar, with streams of blood mist emerging.

And to sustain Destroy Evil required Gaven’s mental endurance—previously the action was so swift the consumption went unnoticed.

This time the sacred radiance depleted too quickly, and his mental strength vanished like a stream of water, washing away ceaselessly.

Fortunately, he wasn’t fighting alone; the Dragon Oak Mother Tree and the phantom image of Weizemay Manor didn’t disappear but became more substantial, floating one above the other behind him.

Initially incompatible, the two apparitions seemed to begin overlapping and fusing at certain parts.

However, the influence of Weizemay Manor on the Dragon Oak Mother Tree was minuscule; it was more the latter influencing the former.

Weizemay Manor appeared like a shadow of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree, adjusting itself to resemble it more closely.

An immense surge of life force flowed continuously into Gaven’s body, transforming into the energy of sacred light.

Even a Vampire locked away for countless ages, a Legendary Vampire at that, couldn’t withstand such a draining. Within minutes, not a trace of blood mist escaped.

The Demigod Ruptured Palm turned into a sourceless water, a rootless tree, beginning to twist and melt beyond control as strands of dark matter started drifting out from it.

What else could it be, if not Undead Divinity?

Seeing this, Gaven felt as if his heart was being clawed with regret, but there was nothing he could do.

This was the most valuable thing inside the Demigod Ruptured Palm.

The next second, he couldn’t help but beam with joy.

The Dragon Oak Mother Tree swayed, and the shadow that was almost Weizemay Manor lunged out like a fierce beast, devouring all the escaping Undead Divinity.

Chiaranlisha had once tried to make Weizemay Manor a part of her new God Kingdom, thus it naturally had the capacity to contain some Divine Nature.

Initially, the phantom image of Weizemay Manor just waited for the Undead Divinity to be forced out, but then it pounced on the opportunity, assisting Gaven in extracting the Undead Divinity.

When Weizemay Manor forcibly drained all of the Undead Divinity, it coincided with the total dissolution of the Demigod Ruptured Palm.

Gazing at the Demigod Ruptured Palm which had melted into a pool of black water, Gaven fell into a happy dilemma.

Which piece of equipment should he infuse this into?

This was, after all, the product of a Demigod Ruptured Palm’s melting, and although its Divinity was drained, this was still something from a Demigod, a truly remarkable substance.

Once infused, even if it did not become a Divine Artifact, it would at least edge ever closer to one.

In terms of compatibility, the Revenge Pickaxe was the best match.

The tool was crafted from an Evil God Emblem Ring of the Undead Goddess of Revenge, with both abilities related to revenge, while the Demigod Ruptured Palm related to Undeath. If infused,

It would gather both the major elements of the Goddess of Undead Vengeance, potentially inducing wondrous transformations.

But the problem was, Gaven now had too many pieces of equipment in hand.

The one he was most accustomed to using was Death Roar.

Below the Transcendent, few could withstand two shots from it, and even below the Legendary, there weren’t many who could take five—as long as they hit their mark.

The Crown Shield, too, was an inseparable part of his arsenal.

He never really had the chance to use the Revenge Pickaxe, and he suspected that there wouldn’t be many opportunities in the future either.

After all, that thing was suited for protracted battles.

Before he could smash someone with it, he’d first need to be punched himself.

If there was no occasion to use it, then no matter how demonically powerful the Revenge Pickaxe was, it would just gather dust in his backpack, waiting for a special situation to become a trump card.

Compared to special situations, Gaven preferred something that could be helpful in everyday use, even if it meant sacrificing a part of its attributes.

But the problem was, Death Roar wasn’t just any normal piece of equipment, but an extension of his Spirit Crystal Servant, his amplifier of Spiritual Energy.

Who knew if it could be fused, or if fusion could cause some kind of side-effects?

Gaven, unable to decide on the spot, resolved to wait a bit, to go over his other gains first and see if there were better solutions or ideas.

As the Demigod Ruptured Palm started to melt, his Consciousness Sea began to violently tremble.

That trembling was too familiar; it surely meant a new Milestone of Destiny was being created, silver at the very least, but very likely golden.

Gaven submerged into his Consciousness Sea, and the first thing he sensed wasn’t the Milestone of Destiny.

It was a prompt for a Transcendent choice.

Charisma Transcendent Reward.

After entering an Overclocking state, the Attribute Point enhancements were intrinsic values, and his Charisma had reached twenty points, meeting the criteria for a Transcendent reward.

Gaven, often overclocked, was crystal clear about this.

Most of the time, he chose to ignore it.

Because the three options given by the Charisma Transcendent Reward didn’t quite appeal to him, so he’d kept pressing it down.

Hoping that somehow, serendipitously, the options might change.

Truth be told, Gaven was unsure whether this Transcendent reward, once it appeared, would be set in stone, or if it would change continuously with time, his experiences, and the unlocking of other abilities.

This was currently under experiment.

With Bionic Art and Overclocking accumulated, several of his Attributes could qualify for a Transcendent reward, and he already knew what the choices were.

Yet, he hadn’t made a decision.

If there’s a need in the future, it wouldn’t be too late for a breakthrough in the midst of battle.

Reflective Conscious Choice was just a matter of a moment.

This time, Gaven was prepared to choose to ignore as usual, but then realized something was amiss. This wasn’t a choice between three options; he’d already made the choice, and it was the very option that Gaven found most embarrassing.

Lady’s Companion (Special Ability) — Charisma Transcendent Reward. Your transcendent and extraordinary charisma makes you exceptionally attractive to female creatures, improving their disposition by one level. When they attack you, they will be at a disadvantage, and females intimate with you will find themselves more easily satisfied. For other uses, you may explore on your own.

Damn it, Lady’s Companion.

Damn it, more easily satisfied.

Damn it, explore on your own.

Magic Network, come out and explain, what on earth is this Lady’s Companion about?

Is this ’explore on your own’ supposed to be a pixelated mystery?

Gaven had a feeling that this choice came with an inexplicable tinge of grey mockery, suggesting some grey episode of his past life. It was almost labelled as special for the Midnight Gigolo.
