Chapter 233: Chapter 189: Subduing the Dragon Girl_2

"At your service," Shanoba responded, not by walking over, but by crawling.

It was only when they came into close contact that Gaven noticed.

Shanoba’s entire body had not only turned rose-red but was also emitting intense heat.

Gaven felt a tickling sensation at the base of his shoulder pad, as if something was about to grow out of there.

"What are you two doing?" the Young Red Copper Dragon, hearing the commotion, had returned.

Fortunately, Shanoba’s black dragon wings were big enough to cover the junction between the two tightly.

Gaven replied in a muffled voice, "Nothing, you keep watch; I’m checking out her recent changes. Her wyvern transformation seems to have developed something new."

"Really?" Aivensa was somewhat skeptical. Was embracing her really necessary to examine her body?

"Really!" Gaven replied earnestly.

"What’s with the dragon shadows on you two?" This was the focus of the Young Red Copper Dragon’s concern.

The dragon shadows on both of them had not dissipated but still intertwined, resembling a faint mist.

Their forms were distinctly different; arising from Shanoba was clearly her transformed state as a wyvern.

The shadow appearing from Gaven was much more blurry, merely the outline of a Giant Dragon, which was hard to identify. To Aivensa, it looked more like a Red Copper Dragon, and he adored the aura it emitted, feeling an urge to rush up and frolic.

"It’s a blessing from the Dragon Oak Mother Tree," Gaven credited everything to the Dragon Oak Mother Tree.

Indeed, his soul and body’s close connection with the Giant Dragon started from that first golden Milestone of Destiny, when he formed a mysterious bond with the Dragon Oak Mother Tree.

"Then when you have time, check me out too."

"Okay," Gaven agreed, mustering all his willpower to deal with the pesky little one, "You chase away those fools trying to come up here, and tonight, I’ll finish the story of the Heavenly Palace."

"Tell it all at once? No stopping halfway through?"

"All at once. If you keep nagging, I might change my mind."

"Okay! Okay! Okay!" The convinced Young Red Copper Dragon scurried away, cheerfully singing the Common Tongue version of "Monkey Brother."

With the two’s fervent clash,

what was once a faint dragon shadow began to intensify, eventually enveloping them so that they were completely hidden from the outside world.

Shanoba, like a cheetah, with a nimble yet strong body, suddenly stiffened and exclaimed in disbelief, "I’ve unlocked my Professional Template!"

The timing of this activation was somewhat eerie.

Yet, considering the intertwining dragon shadows, it somehow seemed normal.

Gaven inquired, "What professions can you choose from?"

"Magician... Dragon Vein Sorcerer... Warrior... Barbarian..." Shanoba replied.

"Barbarian!" Gaven said without hesitation. "Your primary strength lies in your wyvern transformation. In choosing a profession, you should focus on enhancing this ability. A warrior may gain many additional feats later on, but most of these are designed for humanoid form and are less useful after transformation. However, a barbarian’s Berserk can be utilized before and after transformation."

If these options were presented to a Gnoll, Gaven would advise them without hesitation to choose a Dragon Vein Sorcerer or Magician.

But for Shanoba, these seemingly powerful professions were not as beneficial.

Because she naturally possessed thirteen Life Dice, meaning the Experience Value required for her to unlock a Professional Template was as much as a Level 13 Professional needed to level up.

The Experience Value needed for each subsequent level-up was proportionately high, presenting a considerable challenge.

To elevate her Caster Level beyond Transcendence was akin to advancing from Transcendent to Legendary: each level took years.

A couple of levels in Spellcaster would offer her little benefit.

The Barbarian, however, was different; a single Professional Level could dramatically enhance her combat abilities.

Special Abilities and Fast Movement would increase her speed, including her flight as a wyvern, as they were intrinsic to her body and would affect her transformed state.

There was no need to mention Berserk: with Strength +4, Constitution +4, even in human form the boost was significant, let alone when transformed into a wyvern, pushing both her Strength and Constitution into the realm of the Transcendent. This would not only improve her melee capabilities but also allow her to unleash her Strong Acid Breath a couple more times each day.

The frequency of Dragon Breath in a day correlates closely with one’s Constitution.

Roar!

Shanoba confirmed her choice through action.

Her blood surged, eyes turned crimson, and muscles swelled impressively, seemingly even increasing her height a bit.

She entered her first Berserk State in life.

Once again taking control, she assaulted Gaven with a storm.

Instinctively, Gaven pulled up her Attributes.

Profession: Level 1 Barbarian

Life Force: 160 (Life Dice: 13D10+1D12+84)

Attributes: Strength 17+4, Dexterity 14, Constitution 14+4, Intelligence 12, Perception 16, Charisma 19

Even in her non-transformed state, her Strength had entered the Transcendent.

The marked increase in Strength and Constitution caused her muscles to tense up in an instant; Gaven almost believed she could crush him. He nearly surrendered on the spot.

He could only persist miserably in the storm of her Berserk onslaught.

Having extensive experience fighting alongside barbarians, Gaven knew this state wouldn’t last long. All he needed to do was weather the initial storm, and soon enough, she would enter a state of fatigue.
