Chapter 50: 047. Intervention From Johan.

The feeling of restlessness mixed with discomfort centered on the stomach made Aril delirious as if he had received a violent attack.

Aril, who was sweating coldly, immediately opened his eyes and found Ignoir sitting on his stomach.

The wolf demon girl looked at Aril with sparkling eyes and wagged her tail quickly.

With a slightly bated breath, Aril spoke his first words in the bright morning. "What are you doing? Come down!"

"Ah! There you are!" Said Putri who had just walked into Aril’s room whose door had been wide open from the beginning.

Putri immediately lifted Ignoir away. "Sorry, I was a little off guard earlier. Hehe..."

"Are we going to play?" Asked Ignoir who looked so excited.

The two girls left the room and were finally able to give Aril a quiet morning.

"Seriously, what’s in a demon’s head? Are they brain damaged or something?" complained Aril who wanted to sleep again.

At first she thought that the discomfort he felt was just Ignoir sitting on his stomach, but it turned out that the fan had been turned off.

Aril didn’t even have the energy to get upset, he could only sigh. "It’s like having both a child and a pet."

Aril turned the fan back on and went back to sleep.

Even though it was already 7am, the young man wanted to continue sleeping. But his reason for increasing his sleep time was not because of the laziness that many people felt every morning, but the healing process.

Yep, Aril had indeed recovered from his fatal wounds and was perfectly capable of walking around, but his stamina levels had not fully recovered.

It may sound absurd, but the regeneration ability (Phenex) has a stamina-draining effect even after its use, let alone the use to regenerate large organs as well as vital organs many times in a short period of time.

Now Aril had to rest for 12 hours a day for a while. At least that was one of the bad effects of Phenex’s regeneration magic.

While Aril was increasing his sleep time. Putri and Ignoir prepared provisions for their long journey, while Reizel did light exercise such as running, push ups, sit ups, and squats.

Before Reizel was about to enter the house after finishing his routine, he stopped for a moment in front of the grave of Salma, Putri’s mother.

The man stared rather sadly, as if regretting deeply that Salma’s death was also caused by Reizel, at least partly his fault. That was what the man thought as he stared at the mound of dirt with a tombstone made of simple wooden planks.

"It’s okay, I know it wasn’t you who killed my mother," said the Putri standing behind Reizel.

The man sighed heavily and smiled slightly for a few moments in appreciation of how kind Putri was, before he finally changed his face to a serious one then turned back and looked at her who was hugging Ignoir from behind to keep the wolf demon girl from jumping around.

"The preparations have been completed?" asked Reizel, who immediately put on his usual sunglasses.

Putri squinted her eyes. "Why are you always doing that sunglasses thing?"

"We have to wake Aril up before noon so we can arrive before nightfall," said Reizel.

"Before night? Poso is far away, there’s no way we can get there that fast," replied Putri.

Reizel didn’t respond with words, his mouth was closed but his eyes were fixed on Ignoir.

Putri followed Reizel’s gaze and looked at the wolf demon girl she was hugging from behind.

After a moment, the Putri’s eyes widened as she understood what Reizel meant.

"No... No! No! I don’t want to fly!" said Putri who looked panicked.

"You should know Aril’s thoughts best, do you think he would choose the land route if the air route could be faster and available?" Reizel asked a rhetorical question that made her panic even more.

"No! No! No! We can’t fly!" said the Putri who continued to deny the most likely possibility.

"Unfortunately we may not have a choice," replied Reizel who sighed heavily as if accepting an unavoidable fate.

Ignoir with her innocent face looked at Putri’s rather pale face. "You don’t like flying with me?"

That innocent gaze managed to sway her heart. The cuteness of the white-skinned girl made Putri rethink her decision.

After a few moments of conflicted feelings, she finally gave in and lowered her face. "I like flying with you."

Ignoir’s tail immediately wagged quickly and her face looked cheerful with a wide smile and sparkling eyes.

"I love Miss Putri!" shouted Ignoir who immediately hugged the girl tightly.

Reizel looked at Princess who looked lethargic and finally decided to take the responsibility to wake Aril up.

Putri and Ignoir sat on the long bench on the terrace while Reizel went inside the house and woke Aril up.

Not long after, a jeep came and stopped not far from the house.

Putri immediately stood up and was on alert while Ignoir growled and showed her canine teeth.

Reizel came out carrying Aril who seemed to be in a semi-conscious state.

When the two of them were on the terrace and saw several people coming out of the jeep, both Reizel and Aril’s eyes immediately widened.

The people who got out of the jeep were Johan and some of his subordinates.

"Phenex!" shouted Aril swiftly.

"Mutant system activated!" shouted Reizel who immediately followed.

The phenex sigil immediately appeared on Aril’s tongue and the young man immediately used singing magic to make Johan and his subordinates stunned in place.

Without pause, Aril immediately used wind magic and created a small tornado that turned the jeep upside down.

Reizel’s entire skin was now covered by reptilian scales and was in a battle-ready pose while Aril immobilized the opponent in front of him.

"You seem to have recovered, lightning man," said Aril who did not take his eyes off Johan.

"What should I do?" asked Reizel who was waiting for instructions from Aril.

Just like Aril, Reizel also did not take his eyes off Johan. His whole body was ready to move. He just waiting for Aril’s order.

Although the opponent in front of them seemed to be stunned, Reizel still didn’t know what Aril wanted, that’s why he was just silent and ready to attack.

Aril looked sharply at Johan. "I’ll give you three seconds to explain why you can live."

Reizel gulped. That was the instruction he was waiting for. Given Aril’s nature, that sentence was not a bluff, it was an order for Reizel and Johan.

Reizel grew sharp fingernails as well as rows of canines. All his muscle fibers were ready for a quick attack.

The effect of the phenex’s singing magic had worn off and Johan suddenly prostrated himself on the spot to everyone’s surprise, even his own subordinates.

"Please help us, in return, we will do whatever you ask!" shouted Johan very loudly.

"Huh?!" everyone shouted in shock.
