Falling For My Accidental CEO Husband -
Chapter 81: Eat
Chapter 81: Eat
"What do you want to eat for breakfast today ma’am?" Aiden asked, glancing up as Serena stumbled out of her room, still half-asleep.
Serena froze, her eyes narrowing on the man standing in the kitchen, already dressed immaculately for work. Damm it. She was supposed to be getting ready for her first day too, but she’d barely slept. How could she when thoughts of him had tortured her all night, keeping her awake? Now here he was, fresh as a daisy, calm and collected, as if he hadn’t spent the night visiting her dreams.
Narrowing her eyes, she forced a sweet smile, stepping closer to him. "You," she replied, "I’ll eat you for breakfast."
Aiden blinked, caught completely off guard by her bold response. He coughed, his eyes widening slightly as he turned to look at her, surprised. Though he did not know why he was always surprised by her outrageousness.. Serena didn’t miss the way he stared at her, and with a sly wink, sauntered over to take her seat at the table.
"You’re dressed up early today," she noted casually, though her eyes were still gleaming with mischief.
"Hmm. I’ve got an early meeting," he replied, shrugging slightly. "You ready for your first day?"
"Of course." Serena grinned, stretching a bit, her hands raised abover her head as she added, "I’m going to love working for Grandma."
Even as she lowered her arms, she failed to see Aiden’s eyes glued to her, the way he had not missed her tshirt riding high with the stretch, letting him catch a glimps of her slender waist. When he did not say anything for a moment, she turned to look at him again who then finally spoke up, "You say that now because Grandma dotes on you. Wait till you actually get to the office."
"I doubt Grandma could ever be strict with me," Serena shot back confidently, though she paused for a moment, her gaze falling on the bandage and medicine set aside on the counter. Her eyes flickered back to Aiden’s hand. The bandage was gone. She frowned, remembering the doctor’s clear instructions for him to keep it wrapped for some time.
"And even if she does," she continued, her tone softening as changed directions to walk over to him, "I’ll handle it. But why did you take off your bandage?"
Aiden almost jumped at the sudden change in her voice blinking in surprise when she reached for his hand, grasping his wrist gently. He winced slightly at the pain but couldn’t help smiling at her concern. "I was going to retie it later. It’s too troublesome to get coffee."
Serena shook her head, inspecting the injury with a practiced eye. "At least the swelling has gone down. You’re really lucky you didn’t break any bones." She nodded, satisfied with the progress but still concerned. "Don’t stress yourself out, okay? You need to take it easy."
Her fingers lingered for a moment longer on his wrist before she finally let go. "I’ll have anything you feed me," she said over her shoulder as she turned to head back to her seat. But before she could sit down, Aiden acted, quick as lightning.
His hands landed on her waist, and in one smooth motion, he pulled her back against him. Serena gasped, as her body crashed into his solid frame. Her breath caught in her throat as she felt the warmth of his chest pressing against her, the familiar scent of him filling her senses. It was the scent that had kept her restless all night.
He didn’t give her time to react. His lips were on hers, soft but firm, a kiss that started slow but held a promise of something more. For a moment, she melted into him, her thoughts scattering as her lips moved against his, the kiss deepening. There was something so natural, so right, about being in his arms, as if kissing him was second nature already.
But then, just as the kiss was about to deepen further, Serena pulled back slightly, her lips hovering close to his as she smirked, her eyes flashing with amusement. "That wasn’t quite the breakfast I had in mind," she murmured, staring at his lips, entranced. How did a man manage to have such sexy lips?
Aiden smiled, noticing her gaze and tightened his grip around her waist as he leaned in to steal another quick peck. "You said you’d have anything I’d feed you," he teased in a low voice. "And before that, you said you wanted to eat me. How could I, a good husband in all consciousness, not fulfill my wife’s wishes?"
Serena laughed, tipping up on her toes to meet him halfway. "I like how you think, husband." With that, she kissed him again, this time deeper, her body leaning into his as she tilted her head, completely surrendering to the moment. She felt Aiden step forward, gently pushing her backward and when his hand came to her thigh, to help her onto the kitchen counter, she was ready to jump.
But before they could take the next step a voice sounded, "Oh, um... sorry!"
Both Serena and Aiden jumped apart as if they’d been caught doing something scandalous, turning quickly to face the source of the voice. Standing awkwardly in the doorway was Aiden’s sister, Ella, with an amused yet slightly apologetic expression on her face.
Seeing that the two were not even looking at her, Ella grinned and walked into the kitchen," I’d come to bring Grandma’s message about you two joining us for breakfast in the main wing... but I can take back a message saying that you two are busy..."
"No!" Serena almost shouted before Ella could turn back," We’ll be there soon. I’ll just bandage him up..."
"Bandage him up? Is that what you people call boinking?"
Aiden widened his eyes at Ella, almost threatening her while Serena squeaked," Hey! I meant bandaging his hand, okay? Who is boinking who?"
Ella laughed and turned back as she heard Serena calling her back to answer the question...
