Chapter 47: THE DISCUSSION OF A DEMON KING AND QUEEN (4) ARELLA’S POV
Arella wanted to crawl into a hole and hide. Perhaps even die.
If someone had asked her like two hundred years ago if she knew she would marry the demon king, the answer would be a big fat no.
If someone asked her during the same time period if she would ever have sex outside her chambers, the answer would similarly be a huge fat no.
Of course she had been thinking of climbing King Varziel, but it was not like she was actually going to go through with it! She was an angel for crying out loud. Their kind did not do anything as impulsive or unbecoming of their dignity; at the very least that is what she told herself. Yet, there she was, sitting in the aftermath of their actions. Her want for him still simmered beneath her skin, muted but still present.
Her toes were still curled up from all the pleasure she had received. It was all too much all at once. She pressed her palms to her flushed cheeks, willing her racing heart to calm down at least slightly. All she could hear was the steady thump of her heart. It was so loud she was sure even King Varziel could hear it.
She glanced up at him, peeking through the cracks of her fingers. There was a drop of sweat dotting his brow, but apart from that, he looked far too composed for someone who had just... well, *that*.
He leaned casually against the edge of the grand table, pushing himself further in her still. It was then that Arella realized that he had yet to pull out of her. His eyes studied her, glowing faintly in the light of the setting sun. His lips were curved up into a satisfied smile as he studied the marks he had left on her skin. Arella wanted to throw something at his face. Preferably something heavy.
"Well," his voice was husky, "my queen. Whatever shall we do? I don’t want us to be parted." He thrust gently, although he was not as hard.
Arella glared at him, her face burning hotter than the holy fire she could conjure up. "Will you kindly move? She scooched back, trying to get some space between them. "Someone could come in and see us like this."
She pushed against his chest using the heel of her foot. When had she lost her shoes? King Varziel smoothly took her ankle in his hand and placed a kiss at the base of it. The smile on his face was unmistakable, and the heat that had just been quenched bubbled up again.
"Trust me, anyone who was out these doors heard you." He wrapped her leg around his waist and leaned in. "And anyway, I am quite comfortable, aren’t you?" His voice dripped with mock innocence, but Arella could see the heat in his gaze. If she did not stop him, would they continue for another three days and nights? In the meeting room? With servants and knights outside where they could hear them.
"King Varziel." She said through gritted teeth.
"Ah ah ah," he tutted. "It’s Varziel, my queen." He lowered his head and bit her collarbone. Arella gasped, her nails digging into his shoulders.
"Varziel," she hissed, her voice a mix of frustration and pleasure, "This is not the time or the place for --"
"You are right," he interrupted, his lips trailing down her chest. His breath was hot against her skin. "But you are so irresistible, my queen. How can I possibly stop?"
Arella was almost tempted. Could one more round be so bad?
However, she was right; it was not the time or place. They still had to go and have supper before watching the runners-up who wanted to take the spot of royal performers. She also had to prepare for her meeting with the high nobles. From what she had learned, it was most likely going to be the wives of the high nobles attending the rushed gathering that Velmoria had prepared.
She needed to adequately arm herself before she met with them. She was sure that if she allowed King Varziel to continue, he would not let her out of his arms for a few more days.
"King Varziel," she finally steeled her mind. "We have tasks to do, and I will not sleep until they are done. In light of that, I will also not let you sleep."
Chuckling, he finally relented, withdrawing slowly—too slowly for her liking—and stepped back. He was disheveled, with his tunic draped loosely over his torso and one shoulder peeking through the material. His hair stuck up in various odd places, and his pants had been pulled down just enough to free his cock.
Arella imagined she looked thoroughly fucked if he looked as he did.
The member had grown hard again; the tip pointed at Arella.
She drooled, the urge to take him in her mouth growing with each passing second.
She sat up, her wings making a soft fluttering sound. "Are you going to stare at me all day?" She pulled up her dress over her breasts, covering them up.
King Varziel made a sound of disappointment as she covered them up. "I never thought that Queen Confidence would be rattled by a bit of intimacy." He fixed up his own clothes.
"A bit? Help me with the ties." She turned her back slightly but made no move to get off of the table. "That wasn’t a bit... that was..." She trailed off, her words failing her as her mind betrayed her with flashes of what had just happened. "We are outside. Can we try to keep bedroom matters to the... you know... bedroom?"
Varziel quickly tied up her dress for her and smoothed the velvet out. "Oh?" He raised a brow as he ran a hand through his hair in an attempt to fix it. "Now I do not want to keep it to the bedroom at all." He leaned over her, placing his palms on either side of her, closing her in between him and the table, "How about this? I will touch you any place else, as long as it is not our bedroom." He smirked devilishly.
Arella’s eyes widened, and her breath hitched in her throat. "You wouldn’t dare." She managed to choke out.
"If it keeps you looking this delightfully flustered, I will take it." He smiled, "By the end of it all, everyone will know that I belong to you just as you belong to me."
Arella rolled her eyes, pushing against his chest firmly. He stumbled back slightly. "You’re incorrigible," she muttered, hopping off the table and smoothing her dress down. Her legs wobbled slightly, reminding her of just how thoroughly he had unraveled her just a few moments before.
King Varziel caught her stumble, steadying her with hands that lingered, "Careful, my queen. We wouldn’t want you falling for me, now would we?" His smirk was pure mischief, mirroring her own mischievous one a while ago.
"Ha. Ha," Arella deadpanned, shrugging his hands off in an attempt to keep her racing heart at bay. "Let us not make this any harder for us."
"Oh, it is already quite hard, I assure you," he murmured, his gaze flicking downward.
Arella’s halo bobbed up and down, the only sign of her exasperation. "This is not a joke."
"I do not jest, my queen." King Varziel’s smile was soft. "I will not touch you unless we are outside our chambers. This palace is vast, and we have a lot to cover."
Exhausted by the fact that they were getting nowhere with their conversation, Arella spun on her heel and strode to the door. "You are impossible!" she called over her shoulder, flipping him the bird. Her cheeks were bright red and painfully hot.
"Only for you, my queen." He called after her, his laughter echoing through the room as she yanked open the heavy wooden door.
Just before she walked out, she turned to him. "We still have to discuss this marriage and our expectations. Do not make me burn your robes in anger."
She slammed the door shut.

Echo: I knew there was something fishy going on. You cannot hide from this trusty nose of mine, you know. Glad I left before I was given a show I did not ask for!
