Chapter 678 - 678 676 The Path of the Dragon Lecture
Chapter 678: Chapter 676: The Path of the Dragon Lecture Chapter 678: Chapter 676: The Path of the Dragon Lecture City of Amber was starting to take shape.
Over ten million people had passed through the Fairy Forest into the Amber Dreamland, bringing vibrant life to this vast and wild world.
Hunting, farming.
Most of the human refugees were allocated to forests where they foraged for food. Others were sent to the City of Amber to start building the capital city of the Dreamland Kingdom.
During those dark days of world integration, every nation was in turmoil, forced to undertake massive migration efforts.
Now, the migrants from various countries had filled up their respective Volcanic Realms.
When the Volcanic Realms could no longer accommodate them, they had to move to the Amber Central Region. Fortunately, the Amber Great Tree, after continuously devouring the Ice Holy Artifact, kept expanding the land of the Amber Central Region to barely accommodate so many people.
Nevertheless, starting a life there was definitely tough.
To stabilize public sentiment, the Amber Council had already released a slogan—”Counterattack Frost Star, pioneer Amber. Annihilate Frost Star, rejuvenate Dragon Sleep!”
As long as they could conquer Frost Star and capture all its Origin Power, Amber Dreamland would grow into the new Dragon Sleep Continent. The Universe Tree withered, but the newly born Amber Great Tree would shelter the reborn Dragon Sleep Continent.
“The resources in Amber Dreamland are much more abundant than outside; there’s no need for Bipedal Flying Dragons to nurture them. Minerals can be found everywhere.”
Within the high tower of the Amber Council, representatives from various countries were gathered to discuss the development of Amber Dreamland.
The task of governing the inflow of more than ten million people was incredibly challenging.
Luckily, this was a world beyond the ordinary, where great power was concentrated in individuals. The Knight class could forcefully suppress any unrest. It would prevent the influx of refugees from causing chaos and disaster, or even jeopardizing national security.
“The potential for development is strong, but the immediate priority is to cultivate more farmland and plant more Magic Potions,” said one representative. “Many refugees are still migrating in harsh cold outside, in desperate need of lifesaving medicines like Magic Potions.”
After a pause, he proposed, “I suggest that the great sprites of each country plant cordyceps in the Dreamscape Volcano. The Magic Potions produced can then be transported through the Elemental Volcano to those Grand Duchies that have been destroyed.”
“The heaviest casualties this time must be the eleven destroyed Grand Duchies; at least half of the refugees were slaughtered by the Giant Trolls.”
“Yes, even His Majesty Russell rushed to their rescue, he couldn’t prevent the tragedy from happening.”
“There was no way; with Frost Star launching a full-scale offensive, our nations could only focus on defense and were unable to take the initiative.”
“The Great Scholar Roundtable Association has now been established and is researching how to breach the cross-realm door of Frost Star, to counterattack Frost Star. They can attack our seventy-two nations, and we can attack the Frost Star Hundred Divisions!”
The representatives were discussing various topics all at once.
Their task was to discuss these matters and then communicate and coordinate cooperation and combat between the countries.
“Please, everyone quiet down for a moment,” Marquis Merlin entered the conference room, followed by several attendants carrying a huge pile of papers scented with ink. “The Frost Star language materials have been compiled. Country representatives, please come and take a copy to print and study back home.”
“Ah, the Frost Star language has finally been compiled!” the representatives exclaimed with joy.
After the world integration, images of Frost Star were right before their eyes, and they could even come face-to-face with the Giant Trolls, delving deep into the Giant Troll tribes to observe their lives. They just couldn’t touch each other or hear each other’s voices.
But many Giant Trolls were crossing the cross-realm door, rampaging on the snowfields of Dragon Sleep Continent.
And now, humanity was gearing up, ready to counterattack Frost Star.
If they could master the language of Frost Star, they would better understand the Giant Trolls and even learn from their knowledge—though the Giant Trolls lacked industrialization, they had developed many magic spells based on Frost Snow Power, which were worth learning from.
“We owe the rapid compilation of these materials to Tepp,” someone chimed in. “It was Tepp who delved deep into the Giant Trolls’ minds to obtain this information.”
“With Tepp assisting us, the Giant Trolls will be an open book to our humanity, unable to conceal any information!”
“Once the Great Scholar Roundtable Association cracks the cross-realm door, it will be our turn to attack Frost Star and thwart the Eternal Frost Star Plan!”
The representatives were exhilarated.
Half a month of darkness had turned into rivers of blood, greatly weakening humanity, and although the Giant Troll Clan had also suffered heavy losses, humans had died in greater numbers. The blood of humans and Giant Trolls stained both worlds, hastening their fusion.
“Snow Soul Sacrifice, fusion of worlds, the Giant Troll Clan thinks it’s quickening its invasion, but in reality, they’re hastening their own demise!”
…
Having left the Amber Council’s towering building, Marquis Merlin had intended to return to his office to continue handling official matters.
However, a voice from his Contracted Phantom Beast spoke to his mind: “Merlin, we should go to the Dragon’s Path Study Society and attend His Highness Uroboros’s lecture. Drifting aimlessly for so long, I too should pursue advancement, to return you to your peak.”
This was the most intelligent Contracted Phantom Beast he had, a Rocky Mountain Eagle.
“Hmm, you are always looking out for this old man’s wellbeing, longing to see me back at my peak. Let’s go then.” In his younger days, Marquis Merlin was a Flying Dragon Knight, but now he was merely a Phantom Beast Knight. To return to the peak, he would have to ascend to Dragon Domain Lord.
The Dragon’s Path Study Society was located to the west of the City of Amber and was also a high tower structure.
The Dragon Sleep Continent had dragons, and dragons liked high places, so humans too had come to love high towers.
Upon arriving at the Dragon’s Path Study Society, the place was already filled with Knights.
The Knights all recognized Marquis Merlin and stood up to greet him, offering the front-row seats to Marquis Merlin.
“Marquis Merlin.” Sitting next to Marquis Merlin was a young Knight.
“Eh, I remember you. You are…”
“Willem Kinari.” The young Knight bowed respectfully.
“Ah yes, you are Russell’s student.” Marquis Merlin stroked his beard, admiringly adding, “I hadn’t expected you to actually ascend to Dragon Domain Lord. Your aura is impressive, and the mark on your forehead isn’t bad either.”
On Willem’s forehead gleamed a shining symbol, the elemental mark unique to Dragon Domain Lords and Phantom Dragon Knights.
“I was fortunate to survive the Life and Death Dragon Tribulation,” Willem said humbly. “It’s all thanks to my teacher’s guidance. Without your help, Willem would have had no chance to reach today and revitalize my family and domain!”
He found himself lost in thought, remembering the battles of the half month of darkness.
He had bravely charged to draw away the Riding Blue Skin squad chasing him, then…he died, alongside his Contracted Phantom Beast Pseudo-Kinnaly Dragon Lily, both slain by the Riding Blue Skin.
But it was that death that allowed him to survive the Life and Death Dragon Tribulation and ascend to Dragon Domain Lord.
“You’ve ascended and yet continue to attend lectures?” Marquis Merlin inquired.
“I’ve just finished a battle today. Hearing of His Highness Uroboros’s lecture, I hurried over to listen,” Willem replied softly, yet his entire demeanor was full of confidence. “Lily and I want to reach even greater heights!”
“Good. Young people should have such aspirations to become strong!” Marquis Merlin praised. “The stronger you are, the greater humanity’s hope is of counterattacking Frost Star… I believe in you; you will become His Majesty Russell’s right hand!”
After chatting for a while.
A host called out, “Let us have silence throughout the hall. His Highness Uroboros will arrive shortly. Before His Highness Uroboros begins the lecture, please allow me to explain the method of this lecture… It will be Lord Tepp and I translating His Highness Uroboros’s words.”
Uroboros was a snake and couldn’t speak human language.
However, it could communicate through mind connection, allowing Tepp to relay what it wanted to say. Tepp would then use the dream-inducing method to speak through the host.
In fact, there was an easier way, which was for Russell himself to come and help translate Uroboros’s words.
But Russell was too busy.
So Tepp had to lend a hand instead.
