Evil dragon has a warm heart -
Chapter 661 - 661 659 One Tree One Person
Chapter 661: Chapter 659: One Tree, One Person Chapter 661: Chapter 659: One Tree, One Person The cry of the Little Dream Dragon always echoed in his heart.
Silently, the dense fog dispersed with a roar, revealing an oak forest behind, connected to the land at the edge of the Amber Dreamland.
This oak forest was vast, more than ten times larger than the one to the east of Cigar Manor in the real world. At the same time, Fairy Saiban, brought alongside the oak forest, also emerged from it, enlarged tenfold.
It was an embodiment of free will.
In the real world, free will was elusive, but in the Amber Dreamland, it was incredibly tangible.
“Saiban, how do you feel?” Russell sat upon his throne, motioned with his hand, signaling Saiban to fly in front of him, then asked with a smile.
Saiban, enlarged tenfold, was no longer suitable to settle on his hand.
It hovered quietly, its facial features becoming more distinct, its voice no longer an odd whisper but now crystal clear, with a child’s innocence: “I have become part of the dream.”
“You have become more real,” Russell said. “The old you was a mess of tangled thoughts. Now, you finally have an independent ‘personality’ or ‘fairy-like’ nature.”
“Yes, now I am a true fairy,” Saiban looked back at the oak forest. “I no longer need the forest as my vessel. I am me, a living fairy.”
“It’s the merging of rules,” Russell keenly sensed the underlying reason for Fairy Saiban’s transformation.
A fairy is an embodiment of rules.
And the Amber Dreamland is an expression of rules, which after blending, led to enigmatic changes, creating a more real individual.
“Amber Dreamland, or shall I say Ice Cream, represents dreams, hope, and the future, so what does Fairy Saiban, or free will, represent?” Russell wondered to himself. “Freedom, the collective… and luck?”
The thought flashed by, and Russell did not linger on it.
Instead, he continued conversing with Saiban: “Can you still go back?”
“It seems I cannot, but I really like this piece of Amber Dreamland. Staying here might be a good choice.”
“Welcome.”
“Also, I have received another fairy blessing, Russell, do you need it?” Saiban suddenly giggled.
“Of course.” Russell never turned down an opportunity for gain.
“This is a tinkling wind chime. Swallow it, and you will know where all the fairies are hidden.” Saiban casually transformed, and a small flower appeared in his hand, shaped like a bell.
“Eat this, and know all the fairy hiding spots?” Russell was delighted and immediately swallowed it.
He felt nothing.
But it seemed he gained a little something, like a gust of wind blowing by, giving him a finer understanding of the wind.
He looked at the oak forest on the ground, each oak tree intertwined with the wind, the wind like a fine thread, one end tied to the oak tree, the other stretching into the dense fog.
“Well, goodbye, Saiban.” Russell savored the moment, bidding farewell to Fairy Saiban, “I and Ice Cream live in the Dreamscape Volcano, see that glowing great tree? Just keep walking, you’re welcome to visit.”
Returning to the City of Amber.
Russell quickly returned to reality, still appearing in that same oak forest, but now, unlike before, he saw each oak tree entwined with a wind, one end tied to the oak tree, the other extending into the unknown.
“Ha-pe.” Russell called out.
Hape stood on the oak tree branch, puzzled: “What is it, Russell?”
“Do you understand the wind?”
“I am the Lord of the Storm, of course, I understand the wind,” Hape boasted, the force of the wind element between its wings.
“No, you don’t understand the wind; the wind is the bridge of freedom,” Russell said enigmatically, uttering the words casually. “Next, I will conduct an experiment to show you what true wind looks like, when one is entranced.”
Although it was already night, Russell still summoned a group of people.
Leading them was Butler Morris, who followed Russell into the oak forest, not quite understanding. “Sir, what about the oak forest? The trees have been growing well over the past few years, but the acorn yield has been mediocre.”
“Don’t worry, Morris,” Russell said with a smile. “By the way, if you were to leave Cigar Manor, would it fall into chaos?”
“Oh, Sir, did I do something wrong?” Morris was alarmed.
“No, be at ease. I just have a more important task for you.” Russell gestured for Butler Morris to touch an oak tree. “Think carefully, think about the Amber Dreamland; you’ve been there before, just think of that place.”
“Think of the Amber Dreamland?” Morris was surprised, as he had previously visited Amber Dreamland through dreaming.
So, he quickly started imagining what Amber Dreamland looked like.
The next second.
His body, along with the oak tree he was touching, just vanished abruptly, leaving only a large pit on the ground.
“Ah!” Several servants from the castle cried out in panic.
Russell made a gesture. “Don’t be alarmed. Morris has just gone to Amber Dreamland. Now it’s your turn; choose an oak tree, touch it one by one. Gather in Amber Dreamland and wait for me.”
“Yes, Sir.” Knowing they were going to Amber Dreamland, the servants were not only unpanicked but also filled with excitement.
Amber Dreamland was well known; to ordinary people, it was a paradise.
Only a few prominent figures could enter.
As the servants vanished one by one with the oak trees, Russell then turned to Hape. “Do you feel it now? This is the true wind.”
“That’s not wind, that is Rule Power.” Hape’s eyes shone. “Russell, have you mastered a new Rule Power?”
“It’s not me who mastered it; fairies naturally understand rules, only now the rules have become more tangible,” Russell shook his head. “And I, I just ate the Shimmering Wind Chime and obtained a slight privilege of the rules.”
He grinned broadly. “The experiment has already succeeded halfway; I’m going to Amber Dreamland to check!”
Suddenly, he reappeared in Dreamscape Volcano, mounted the Little Dream Dragon, and headed straight for the border of Amber Dreamland.
On the way, he discovered a serious problem. “From the center to the border of Amber Dreamland, spanning hundreds of kilometers, how many days would it take Morris and the others to walk to the City of Amber?”
Moreover, there were wild beasts and venomous insects along the way, and these servants had no skills for surviving in the wild.
“Well, Morris and the others are in for some hardship, but thankfully, since the oak forest is so vast, I can send a group of Knights in to escort them to the City of Amber… From now on, Morris will manage things for me here.”
Upon reaching the border, he saw that the oak forest was ten times larger.
Butler Morris and the others were gathered in the oak forest, chatting leisurely with each other, quite excited to have entered Amber Dreamland.
“Ah!”
“Dreamscape Ancient Dragon!”
“His Majesty the Dreamscape!”
The servants, seeing Russell riding the Little Dream Dragon, knelt on the ground to welcome Russell and the Little Dream Dragon.
“Rise, all of you,” Russell waved his hand, his gaze turning to the oak forest where he could keenly feel that the entwining wind around a few of the trees had dissipated, which meant those trees had truly taken root.
The same tree could not grow in both the real world and in Amber Dreamland.
However, the experiment was not yet over. Russell instructed again: “Morris, touch another oak tree, not the one you touched before, but the one next to it, and then think of Cigar Manor… Hmm, doesn’t work, does it?”
