Chapter 660 - 660 658 Saiban Enters the Dream

Chapter 660: Chapter 658: Saiban Enters the Dream Chapter 660: Chapter 658: Saiban Enters the Dream Dragon Calendar 5587, July 25.

The Amber Council held its largest and most successful meeting to date, with nearly a hundred attendees.

“All human kingdoms on the Dragon Sleep Continent have now joined the Amber Dreamland,” announced Marquis Merlin Rain-Longflower, the Chief Steward of Dreamscape, who chaired the meeting. “A total of eighty-four kingdoms have joined, among which the volcanoes of twelve kingdoms are about to extinguish.”

Three kingdoms possessed three giant dragons each: Pyro Lykin Kingdom, Ice Cyclone Barrier Kingdom, and Thunder Shadow Kingdom.

Twenty-four kingdoms possessed two giant dragons each, among them the Lightning Lightning Kingdom, located in the Ancient Dark Fog Forest, which had been struck from the list. Even though its king, Thomson Photon, was a Dragon Knight, he perished during an attack by the Frost Snow Giants Legion.

Of course, all this had happened before the thunder had roared.

Additionally, the Light Soul-Entrancing Kingdom in the Ancient Southern Wasteland Desert also had one of its soul-entrancing giant dragons killed by the Frost Snow Giants Legion, leaving only the light giant dragon. The kingdom would soon be demoted to a Grand Duchy.

There were forty-seven Grand Duchies, eleven of which had experienced a dragon’s fall and a volcano’s extinguishment.

“From the eighty-four kingdoms of Dragon Sleep Continent, with a total of one hundred and four giant dragons, to date only sixty-two kingdoms and ninety giant dragons remain,” continued Marquis Merlin, pausing before he continued, “however, the good news is we still have two ancient giant dragons!”

All eyes turned toward Russell.

Russell himself was a Dreamscape Ancient Dragon Knight and held the Spear of Revenge, always ready to summon the Revenge Ancient Dragon Knight, Darimu.

“Kings, Grand Dukes, and Dragon Knights from various nations are already well-acquainted. This Amber Council will now officially elect seven executive committee members to handle the day-to-day operations of the council,” said Marquis Merlin.

The formal election proceeded without exception.

The kings and grand dukes didn’t vie much for power within the Amber Council, as their primary bases remained in their own kingdoms.

Thus, the seven executive members were smoothly confirmed.

Not much differed from previous selections, except Russell was to resign his concurrent post as the Director of Industrial Development and nominate Duke Windsor Affreuos of Thunder Shadow Kingdom—a mere formality.

The deputy of Industrial Development was Roland Glowing Mushrooms. As the Industry Minister of the Dreamshadow Flame Kingdom, no one, besides Russell, understood industrialization better than Roland, his elder brother.

“Frost Star is soon upon us, and once the two worlds overlap, it will be the Frost Snow Giants’ chance to invade. During this time, the kingdoms must prepare and transfer their valuable assets to their respective volcanic realms,” Russell, acting as the Chairman, reminded.

“Amber Dreamland is our retreat, but the Volcanic Oasis is our home base; we must not neglect it!”

“Chairman speaks wisely!” everyone responded.

Russell continued, “We must continue to search for amber—it is the quickest passport into Amber Dreamland… Upon your return, I hope you can persuade the Grand Scholars to bind with amber, as some studies can occur within the Dreamland.”

Russell hoped the Grand Scholars would be protected.

However, he speculated that the ultimate bonders of amber would likely be the noble families’ relatives—as even he wasn’t an exception, having arranged passes for his own mother and sister.

By the time the other six members of the committee spoke,

Russell was still pondering this issue: “The passport to Amber Dreamland is too restrictive; if only there was a way for ordinary people to enter… Relying on just these few, how long will it take to tame the wilds of Amber Dreamland?”

After the meeting adjourned.

Attendees enjoyed a rustic barbecue feast on the fields of City of Amber, with all the game sourced from the surrounding forests.

By the time the banquet was over, it was already evening.

Russell didn’t stay in Amber Dreamland but returned to Cigar Manor, where he rested every night.

Standing on the circular grand terrace of Cigar Manor, one could gaze in all directions, north, south, east, and west. Suddenly, Russell noticed a brilliant glow rising from the eastern oak forest, like a cluster of sparks in motion.

“Screech!” came the cry of Harpies Hape from within the oak forest.

It was accompanied by Hape’s mind voice, “Russell, it’s Fairy Saiban, dancing in the forest.”

“Oh, Saiban!” Russell raised an eyebrow and, quick as lightning, had flown into the oak forest.

There, on the largest oak where Hape perched, he saw Fairy Saiban, identical to the image he had seen in Gloomy Dreamland, with six leaf-shaped wings fluttering gently and a slender body exceptionally light.

“Saiban, you finally decided to show yourself!” Russell laughed heartily.

Fairy Saiban’s eyes, the size of mung beans, gazed deeply at Russell, then flew lightly to the front of Russell.

Russell held out his hand, and it landed on it.

A string of laughter like silver bells emanated from it, sounding as though it was from the entire oak forest, highly infectious.

Russell could distinctly feel that this chain of laughter, as if possessing a kind of Rule Power, could provoke others to laugh along. Nearby Hape, could hardly restrain herself, letting out a soft cry twice.

But Russell, having bonded with Little Dream Dragon, filled with Rule Power, naturally was not affected by Fairy Saiban’s laughter.

“Hey, Saiban, I thought you were going to hide for another three to five years.”

“I am a collective of free will, the ideal of oak forests touched by wind and sun, never hiding, never concealed,” replied Fairy Saiban, its voice as ethereal and fleeting as if the oak forest itself was speaking.

“Umm, you used to be the free will of Snow Forest.”

After a moment of silence, Fairy Saiban spoke again, “That was then, this is now, Snow Forest, oak forest, they are merely vessels, free will is the ultimate existence! Wherever the wind blows, where it settles, that place becomes home.”

“Okay, let’s not discuss this, did you appear tonight because you have something to ask me?” Russell inquired.

“A dreamland is calling me, and also calling all the free will on Dragon Sleep Continent.” Fairy Saiban said, “Fairies don’t know how to choose, but I know, you are the master of that dreamland!”

“Hey, you really found the right person, I am the Master of Dreamscape,” Russell laughed heartily again, “The pass to Amber Dreamland has clearly reached your hands, Saiban, why don’t you go check out Amber Dreamland yourself?”

“That is my intention.” Fairy Saiban flew up lightly, its leaf-shaped wings fluttering, a speck of amber starlight materialized.

It then plunged into the amber starlight and vanished.

Seeing this, Russell said to Hape, “I’m going to Amber Dreamland for a spin, are you coming?”

“No.” Hape yawned; ever since evolving into Phantom Dragon, it lacked motivation and spent its days lazily in the oak forest.

Russell said no more. With a flicker of thought, he had appeared inside Amber Dreamland.

Not seeing Fairy Saiban, he flew directly to the crown of the great Amber Tree and sat on the throne above Little Dream Dragon’s head, “Ice Cream, Saiban has already entered, lead me to it; you must know where it appeared.”

“Certainly, I have already spotted it, Saiban!” Little Dream Dragon flapped its wings, taking off from the crown of the Amber Tree.

They flew to the dense fog at the border of Amber Dreamland.

This boundary was constantly expanding; partly as the Volcanic Realm was progressively annexed, amplifying Little Dream Dragon’s power, and partly because the polar holy artifact was being continuously devoured, its power transformed into nutrients that boosted Amber Dreamland.

Frost Star invaded Dragon Star, seizing its essence.

The dragons of Dragon Star, in turn, could steal the power of Frost Star.

“Look, there’s Saiban!” Little Dream Dragon focused on the fog beyond, then opened its mouth wide, silently exclaimed, “Saiban!”
