Chapter 634 - 634 632 Shadowflame Volcanic Realm

Chapter 634: Chapter 632: Shadowflame Volcanic Realm Chapter 634: Chapter 632: Shadowflame Volcanic Realm The world spun, and light and shadows shifted.

Russell sat atop the throne on the Shadowflame Dragon’s head, his vision blurred for a moment, and found himself within another volcano.

This volcano was made of black and red rocks; black was the color of the surface, and red was the glow from cracks within the rocks. This pattern and form closely resembled that of the Shadowflame Dragon’s body.

However, there was a difference.

Amber-colored roots, tangled and knotty, filled the crevices between the rocks, seemingly wrapping around the entire volcano.

“This place…” Russell looked around. “It doesn’t quite seem like Amber Dreamland!”

“Indeed, it is not Amber Dreamland; this is Shadowflame’s own volcano,” observed the Shadowflame Dragon with a sharp glance over the interior of the volcano. “However, it is an elemental construction, a volcano formed from the condensation of fire elements!”

“You mean, this volcano is similar to elemental construction?”

“Yes,” the Shadowflame Dragon confirmed. “It’s a peculiar sensation, those roots are not very friendly; they have penetrated into Shadowflame’s volcano!”

“We should go out and take a look.”

“Alright.”

The man and dragon spread their wings and flew out of the crater, only to gaze upon a vibrant expanse of green that stretched out from the base of the volcano. It did not extend far before it was obscured by a veil of mist, similar to the boundaries of Amber Dreamland.

“This is indeed not Amber Dreamland!” Russell shook his head. “Amber Dreamland is much larger, a million square kilometers, whereas this place… at most ten thousand square kilometers. Strange indeed, where is this?”

It was almost like a little green world.

At the center stood a solitary volcano black and red in color, shaped by elemental construction, with hints of amber roots wrapping around its surface.

Before Russell and the Shadowflame Dragon could make sense of the situation,

a familiar and resonant dragon roar echoed from within the crater: “Roar!”

Russell was startled, then overjoyed: “Shadowflame, Ice Cream is coming!”

He and the Shadowflame Dragon turned back and looked toward the volcano of elemental construction; the next second, an amber-hued gigantic figure flew out of the crater, none other than the Dreamscape Ancient Dragon—Little Dream Dragon!

Huffing and puffing…

Their wings beating a whirlwind, Little Dream Dragon flew up to Russell and the Shadowflame Dragon, hanging motionless in the air, its gaze firmly fixed on the Shadowflame Dragon.

There was even a sense of looking down from a lofty height.

Two hundred meters in body length, a wingspan of two hundred and fifty meters, its size several times larger than the Shadowflame Dragon, full of oppressive presence. Yet, it was too beautiful to be true, its entire body the color of amber, like a gigantic gem, slightly lacking an air of imposing dominance.

By contrast, the Shadowflame Dragon’s black and red fierce design carried a stronger impact.

“Roar!” the Shadowflame Dragon roared back defiantly, followed by a gurgling sound of magic-powered Draconic language, “Are you Ice Cream?”

“Shadowflame, didn’t Russell teach you manners? You, a lower-order Elemental Giant Dragon, dare to call me by my name in my world, do you understand what an Ancient Dragon is?” Ice Cream’s voice blossomed directly within the minds of Russell and the Shadowflame Dragon.

“Hehe,” the Shadowflame Dragon narrowed its eyes. “So what, had it not been for Shadowflame’s sanctuary, you might not have grown up at all!”

“I govern dreams, hope, the future, I can grow anywhere!” Little Dream Dragon glared.

The atmosphere was plainly not friendly on this encounter, and Russell, having anticipated this, decisively interrupted the two dragons’ conversation.

He asked, “Ice Cream, what place is this? I thought we would enter Amber Dreamland, but this is clearly not Amber Dreamland.”

“This place, I call it the Volcanic Realm of the Old Shadowflame Dragon,” said Little Dream Dragon, lifting its head provocatively.

The Shadowflame Dragon’s pupils contracted, releasing a dangerous aura.

It did not like being called “old dragon”; being just over four hundred years old, for dragons with lifespans of thousands of years, it was still youthful and vibrant, brimming with life.

“Shadowflame Volcanic Realm?” Russell automatically ignored the title “Old Dragon,” “What’s that all about?”

“Quite simple, it is the hope of the Old Shadowflame Dragon that forged this volcanic realm,” Little Dream Dragon explained. “It’s like a piece of the Volcanic Oasis that belongs to Amber Dreamland, just as the Volcanic Oasis has its Warm Enclave, Amber Dreamland also has its Volcanic Enclave, quite logical, isn’t it?”

“Logical!” Russell nodded.

Then he asked, “How do we get to Amber Dreamland?”

“Transport through the volcano,” Little Dream Dragon said. “It is the power of the Amber Great Tree; anywhere its roots penetrate, we can easily break through the mist to reach Amber Dreamland and the Volcanic Enclave.”

Immediately, one person and two dragons returned to the Shadowflame Elemental Volcano.

The mouth of the volcano was vast, so even with two massive beings landing there, it didn’t seem crowded. Little Dream Dragon gently waved its foreclaw, and suddenly a strand of amber-colored roots rose up from the magma, catching Russell and the Shadowflame Dragon’s eyes with a flash of light.

It was as if through this amber root, they could see a passageway leading to an unknown land.

“Let’s go!” Little Dream Dragon leapt forward lightly and vanished from the Shadowflame Elemental Volcano in an instant.

Russell immediately said, “Shadowflame, let’s set off as well!”

Gazing at the mysterious passage, the Shadowflame Dragon followed Little Dream Dragon’s example and took a leap forward, and in the blink of an eye, the scenery switched to another volcano.

The volcanic walls were amber-colored, as well as the enormous amber roots, and above them, at the top of the volcano, stood the towering Amber Great Tree.

This was clearly Dreamscape Volcano.

The miraculous mode of transportation deeply amazed the Shadowflame Dragon, and for Russell, inspiration burst forth in an instant.

He asked Little Dream Dragon, “Ice Cream, does every volcano serve as a portal?”

“I suppose so, though currently there’s only the Old Shadowflame Dragon’s Volcanic Realm,” Little Dream Dragon responded, finding it quite boring.

“If more volcanic realms emerge, would it be possible to transport between them, and then return to reality from within the volcano?”

“I don’t know; you figure it out yourself,” Little Dream Dragon yawned, showing little interest in these matters, “I’ve already given you the dominion of the Amber Great Tree, do as you wish with everything in Amber Dreamland.”

After a brief pause,

It glanced sidelong at the Shadowflame Dragon and said, “And don’t forget to bring me some Frost Star Beads to eat; I get so hungry every time the volcano erupts!”

“I don’t have any Frost Star Beads on me right now; I’ll bring some after I’ve gone hunting a few times,” laughed Russell.

At that moment, the Shadowflame Dragon suddenly opened its mouth and spat out a Frost Star Bead.

It didn’t speak, but its intentions were clear.

Who would have thought that Little Dream Dragon would disdainfully glance at it, “Are you disgusting or not, Old Shadowflame Dragon? Who wants to eat a Frost Star Bead that’s been soaked in your saliva!”

“Roar!” The Shadowflame Dragon became furious.

Russell urgently pacified it, “Calm down, Shadowflame, calm down; it’s my fault, my fault, I’ve spoiled Ice Cream.”

Only then did the Shadowflame Dragon quell its anger and swallowed the Frost Star Bead back down.

“Let’s go, shall we take a walk outside? Ice Cream, are you coming?” Russell asked, diverting from the previous conversation.

“Nope, I need sleep; I’m exhausted,” Little Dream Dragon yawned, the volcanic eruption indeed drained much of its energy.

“Then you sleep, and I’ll take a look around with Shadowflame,” Russell decided, riding the Shadowflame Dragon for a tour around Amber Dreamland.

The light of the Amber Great Tree wasn’t always so bright.

It seemed intimately connected to Little Dream Dragon; when it was awake, the Amber Great Tree shone brilliantly, illuminating every corner of Amber Dreamland. But if the Little Dream Dragon slept, the glow of the Amber Great Tree dimmed, casting a twilight-like soft light.

“So, the day and night here are decided by Little Dream Dragon,” Russell contemplated.

While the Shadowflame Dragon shook its head, “The land of hope… overstated, Russell, let’s go back, Amber Dreamland is just so-so!”
