Chapter 323 - 323 322 The Second Person in the Glowing

Chapter 323: Chapter 322: The Second Person in the Glowing Valley Chapter 323: Chapter 322: The Second Person in the Glowing Valley The fierce battle continued.

Russell had to admit that Marcus’s strength was far beyond that of Eric, Grove, Katie, and others.

The Second Turn Prime Breath of a high-ranking Mythical Beast Knight of the second layer was much stronger than the First-Tier Primal Breath.

Moreover, the Prime Breath Greatsword formed by the Battle Qi Metamartial endowed Marcus with greater offensive power, which could easily tear through the special effects of the sword light from the Three Swords Flow.

In this moment, Russell finally realized why the way of Swordsmanship was not highly valued by most Knights.

No matter how powerful the Swordsmanship, even the grand skill of the Three Swords Flow like Russell’s struggled against the high-intensity Second Turn Primordial Breath.

Primal Breath overwhelms Battle Qi, Second Turn Primordial Breath crushes First-Tier Primal Breath, and Dragon Breath crushes all Breaths, whether First-Tier or Fifth-Layer… Over time, Knights only pursue greater strength, rather than sharper Swordsmanship.

Seemingly perceiving Russell’s struggle,

a ferocious smile appeared on Marcus’s face, and as he broke through the web of special effect sword light formed by the Three Swords Flow, he took advantage of the moment and bellowed, “You are going down, Russell!”

Boom!

With one slash, the sword light formed by the Second Turn Primordial Breath burst forth from the Prime Breath Greatsword, hurtling more than ten meters before dissipating.

Even though Russell managed to dodge at the critical moment, his Snowy Unicorn Armour was still grazed by the Second Turn Primordial Breath sword light, leaving a gash that was quickly covered and healed completely by the flowing Breath.

Then came the magical bombardment.

The Steel Lightning Beast granted Marcus the magic of Steel Shield, a defensive type of spell, but the Pangolin King granted Marcus the Magic – Earth Spike Assault, with countless rocks piercing through the ground, riddling the lawn with holes.

These earth spikes could stab up to more than ten meters into the air and lasted for about a dozen seconds before breaking down into the basic elements of the world.

Russell wanted to fly into the sky, but Marcus was also flying mid-air, constantly pressing him down with the Prime Breath Greatsword.

The ground was assaulted with unceasing Earth Spike Assault magic.

Russell was forced into a frantic defense.

“Huff… Huff…” Russell gasped for air in heavy breaths.

“You’ve reached your limit, Russell,” Mr. Roman sighed, clearly seeing that Russell’s Prime Breath had been exhausted.

Defeat was just a matter of time.

Then he secretly admired, “To struggle to this extent is impressive enough! I thought you’d get thrashed by Marcus to vent out some anger on Malena’s behalf… Now it seems, you intend to make a name for yourself in Shadowflame with this battle.”

In the entire Shadowflame Grand Duchy, there were not many high-ranking Mythical Beast Knights, not much more than there were Flying Dragon Knights.

For instance, only two were in the Glowing Valley, which shows the difficulty of maintaining mental balance.

Yet, as a common Phantom Beast Knight, Russell held his own against a high-ranking Mythical Beast Knight of the second layer for so long without falling behind; even in defeat, it would be an honorable one. This battle, once spread, would certainly cause quite a stir in the Shadowflame Grand Duchy.

The Grand Skill of the Three Swords Flow would also resound through the Volcanic Oasis.

“Incredible, if I could learn the Three Swords Flow…” Roland was already imagining how he would learn from Russell and master the Three Swords Flow.

Lord Sally stroked his beard, constantly clicking his tongue in admiration.

Without a single word of praise, every “tsk” was a sign of admiration and amazement for Russell, non-stop from start to end.

“Russell is strong, but… my father is stronger!” Marcus, still young, watched his father turn the tide of battle and a triumphant smile finally appeared on his tense little face, “In the future, I must become even stronger than my father!”

Mrs. Shafali stood behind her son, her expression still calm and composed, believing in her husband’s strength.

In the entire Glowing Valley, only Mr. Roman, the High-ranking Mythical Beast Knight of the third layer, could overcome Marcus.

No one else could!

“Has the Three Swords Flow ultimately reached its limit?” Russell, while gasping for breath and struggling to fight, also searched his soul.

He wanted to break through the secret technique of Swordsmanship, but clearly, the moment of breakthrough was not within this battle.

The limit of the Three Swords Flow was gradually exposed under Marcus’s fierce attacks.

However, Russell felt no sense of loss, his heart still brimming with the belief that he must win: “If the Three Swords Flow is not enough, then let’s start the Four Swords Flow!”

In this moment.

The panting Russell suddenly stopped breathing heavily; his breathing returned to steady, only his complexion became slightly paler.

“Come on!”

“Sword Butterfly, Flat Louse, give this world a shock!”

The Qi and blood transformation provided by the Flat Louse Amber Worm had already been quietly performed by Russell. His limbs tingled as his boiling blood burned like a flame, transforming into pure Prime Breath, roaring once more through his meridians.

The enhancement provided by the Sword Butterfly Amber Bug was also executed by Russell.

All one could see was Russell wielding swords in both hands, while the third sword from the Battle Qi-controlled Sword incessantly stabbed out. Meanwhile, during his agile movements, even the tips of his feet could emanate sword energies — this was Russell’s fourth sword, the Six Meridian Divine Sword.

No weapons needed to be wielded to produce sword energies.

Indeed, not just fingers could unleash sword energies; any body part capable of emitting Battle Qi could produce them.

But since both hands needed to grip swords, among all the remaining parts, the feet were most suitable for executing swordsmanship.

Four-Sword Style!

It could be termed a Secret Technique!

The Grand Skill of Three Swords Style, the Secret Technique of Four-Sword Style!

Boom!

At this moment, Russell’s combat power transcended yet again. Amidst the incredulous stares of Marcus and the onlooking crowd, he unleashed an even more formidable power.

The sword energies interwove, forming an even denser, more terrifying net of sword energies, rolling towards Marcus.

Rumble!

The Prime Breath Greatsword obliterated numerous sword energies, but Russell, executing Four-Sword Style, released a ceaseless stream of sword energies, replenishing the net.

Then Marcus felt countless sword energies attacking him from all directions, which his single Prime Breath Greatsword could not fend off.

His eyes almost split with rage!

He continuously urged Magic – Earth Spike Assault in an attempt to disrupt Russell’s use of swordsmanship.

However, Russell could also fly. After the Qi and blood transformation, his Prime Breath replenished, allowing him to swiftly dodge in midair repeatedly. His swordsmanship combined with flight let him strike with the Four Swords Flow Mystique in a carefree and pleasing manner.

Crushing Marcus’s Origin Breath Armour, crushing the Magic – Steel Shield.

Then the sword energies struck, sending Marcus plummeting from midair to the ground, where he slammed heavily onto the grass, riddled with holes.

Whir!

The sword energies retracted, the armor scattered.

A sword hovered in front of Marcus’s face, its tip flickering with unsteady sword energies like the darting tongue of a snake.

Russell’s figure quietly floated nearby, swords in hand, his slightly pale face wearing the smug smile of a victor. However, this smile was restrained; he didn’t burst into laughter before the crowd, thus preserving the dignity of a noble.

“Wow!”

Faced with this outcome, all the onlookers were shocked.

Mrs. Shafali gaped in disbelief at her husband, who lay on the ground unable to rise, as if her entire worldview had been shattered. Her husband, whom she had seen as a war god, had actually been defeated by a young junior knight.

Mask clenched his fists tight, struggling to keep from crying.

Roland stood dumbfounded, while Lord Sally exclaimed aloud, ‘tsk tsk’ in amazement. The knights all held their heads, in a state of disbelief.

The battle’s tide had turned too swiftly; one moment Russell looked as though he was about to fall, the next he burst forth with a thunderous offensive, using nearly a single series of strikes to crushingly conclude the battle.

“Is this… is this really my son Russell?” Baron Roman rose from his seat, so surprised he didn’t know what to say.

Even Mr. Ross, who looked down on the duel, perched atop the little castle’s roof, couldn’t help staring intently at Russell.

In his narrow, vertical pupils, Russell’s figure was reflected.

Russell seemed to sense something and looked up towards the top of the little castle, locking eyes with Mr. Ross.

Mr. Ross involuntarily turned his head away, no longer looking at Russell.

Russell then showed a smile, proudly thinking to himself, “You’re apprehensive, Ross, you fear the gaze of the second person in the Glowing Valley!”

Having defeated a Second-Turn High-ranking Mythical Beast Knight, Russell was undeniably the second-ranking person in the Glowing Valley.

“Sir, undefeated!” Katie began to shout. Following her lead, Eric and Grove joined in the chanting, “Sir, undefeated!”

Thus, the many onlooking knights also began to praise loudly with “Russell is mighty” and “Russell, undefeated” cheers.

For such a strong young knight, if they did not flatter now, when would they?

Faced with everyone’s cheers, Russell gracefully waved his hand in acknowledgment, then bowed politely, elegant and noble. He then turned to Marcus, who lay on the ground with a vacant stare, and extended his hand, “I appreciate the match, Lord Marcus.”
