Evil dragon has a warm heart
Chapter 196 - 196 195 Saiban

Chapter 196: Chapter 195 Saiban Chapter 196: Chapter 195 Saiban Great Elves, Little Sprites, and Mushroom Birds, Spirit Insects and Mushroom Bugs, Russell had seen them all.

He even had two Amber Worms whose properties were unclear.

So he could be certain that the marvelous little creature living among the branches of the cedar tree was definitely not one of the elves.

“What in the world could it be?”

Russell was still pondering when Little Dream Dragon, regardless of the consequences, snorted out two streams of Dragonflame that were a tad denser than secondhand smoke.

It seemed to be greeting the marvelous little creature in the branches.

“Stop it, Ice Cream, we haven’t figured out its identity yet; don’t waste your Dragonflame recklessly,” Russell said, patting Little Dream Dragon’s head, “Of course, if it’s just ordinary Dragonflame, you can use it however you want, OK? Just don’t waste your essence.”

“Gah?” Little Dream Dragon cocked its head, not understanding what Russell was talking about.

But it seemed that it had been awakened by the Dragonflame shooting out of Little Dream Dragon’s nostrils, and the marvelous little creature in the branches of the cedar tree suddenly woke up from its slumber.

Then,

its body, which seemed to be formed of Magic Light, quietly transformed into a real existence, really existing in Gloomy Dreamland.

“Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee…” A string of bell-like laughter came from the mouth of the marvelous little creature.

It quietly entered Gloomy Dreamland, then started to swiftly circle around Russell and Little Dream Dragon.

“Gah!” Little Dream Dragon was very excited.

Russell, however, was stunned; this was the first time he had seen a marvelous creature actively enter Gloomy Dreamland.

You should know.

Even the Bipedal Flying Dragon couldn’t glimpse a fraction of Gloomy Dreamland!

“What… what’s going on here!” Russell’s gaze followed the marvelous little creature in circles, overwhelmed with shock.

The Sword Butterfly quietly followed the marvelous little creature, dancing gracefully behind it.

Even the thorns tangled around Little Dream Dragon’s horns, waving their little thorn branches and the small white flower at the top of the branches, seemed to move in rhythm, echoing the marvelous little creature.

“Gah Gah!” Little Dream Dragon danced excitedly with its hands and feet.

A dragon, a butterfly, a flower, and a marvelous little creature, under Russell’s slightly disorderly gaze, danced joyfully together.

There was no music, but there were Little Dream Dragon’s raucous “Gah Gah” calls and the constant “Hee hee hee hee hee” laughter from the marvelous little creature. The laughter was so clear and melodious, delightful like a song, it was hard to tell if it was a little boy or a little girl laughing.

Gradually, Russell was infected by the hee-hee laughter, stretched out his hands in front of him, and started to sway them quickly.

He even hummed, “Don’t love me, it’s fruitless, unless hand-cranked flowers have gone through me!”

If it weren’t for the fact that Russell’s bottom couldn’t leave Little Dream Dragon, he would probably have had to perform the whole “Guangxi Subject Three” for these few marvelous creatures.

Back when he was on Earth, his days were not short of scrolling through short videos.

The dance ended, the laughter of hee-hee finally stopped, and the marvelous little creature stopped turning circles but floated quietly in front of Russell.

Russell could clearly see its entire figure.

Without the outline formed by Magic Light, it wasn’t so dazzling or good-looking. At this moment, it seemed as if its true body was presenting in Gloomy Dreamland. Its body lost its glow and looked like several pieces of yellowing leaves stacked together, not so marvelous anymore.

Only two green bean-sized eyes were still shining with yellow light.

“You are…” Russell couldn’t find suitable words for a moment and simply asked, “What exactly are you?”

The marvelous little creature’s six leafy wings fluttered rapidly, flickering in front of Russell like a shimmer.

The next moment.

In Gloomy Dreamland, where wind had never been present, it seemed as if a cool breeze blew through, accompanied by a murmuring whisper that rose next to Russell’s ear.

The tone seemed somewhat chaotic and wasn’t the language of Shadowflame Duchy, nor did it belong to any known language, but Russell understood it.

“This Snow Forest has survived from ancient times until today.”

“Every snow pine refuses to bow to the bitter cold and the blizzards, their free will forming a collective soul.”

“Only the luckiest ones can hear the whispers of the Snow Forest.”

“Russell Fluorescent Fungus, your arrival astride a Great Dragon is an honor to the entire forest, and I shall bestow upon you the Snow Forest’s blessing.”

The cool breeze continued to gently blow, but the whispers have ended.

Russell saw the magical little creature before him conjure a berry out of nowhere and hand it to him.

“What is this?” Russell couldn’t help but ask.

The whispers in the cool breeze quietly resumed: “The blessing of the Snow Forest, the Enchanted Berry, guides the lost lamb back to its mother’s side.”

Russell blinked, “Can you speak in human language?”

“Eat it, and you will be able to hear the private whispers of Fantasy Beasts, perhaps right by your side, or maybe somewhere far in the vicinity.”

“Hmm, this is good stuff!” Russell’s eyes sparkled.

However, he didn’t immediately consume the so-called Enchanted Berry but continued to look at the magical little creature before him: “So, are you the… collective soul of this Snow Forest? To which kind of magical creature do you actually belong?”

The magical little creature flew backward a meter or so.

Then it clung to the trunk of a snow pine, blending in with the tree as if becoming one with it, and the form it took when outlined by Magic Light re-emerged.

But quickly, the shape drawn by the Magic Light dissolved into bright ripples, spreading out among the snow pines.

The whispers in the cool breeze quietly resumed: “This Snow Forest is me, and I am this Snow Forest. Russell Fluorescent Fungus, you may call me… Fairy Saiban Bunniya… Fairy Saiban Bunniya… Saiban Nia…”

As the whispers faded away, only “Saiban Nia” echoed repeatedly.

And with the whispers, the faint Magic Light in the snow pines dimmed, the once slightly brighter trees quickly quieted down.

Only the outlines of the trees remained, drawing their trunks akin to everything else within the Gloomy Dreamland.

Gradually, even “Saiban Nia” began to blur, and Russell could only faintly hear “Sa… Ban…” echoing.

“Saiban… Fairy Saiban Bunniya, I’ll just call you Saiban,” Russell stroked his chin, looking at the Enchanted Berry in his left hand.

He felt somewhat forlorn for a moment.

“An entire Snow Forest can actually be considered a magical creature, Fairy Saiban, what kind of life form could that be… It managed to discover Gloomy Dreamland, even called out my name, and gave me an Enchanted Berry.”

It could be said.

Fairy Saiban was more magical than any other magical creature Russell had ever seen before.

“Ga!” The Little Dream Dragon’s call brought Russell back to the present, its eyes longing for the Enchanted Berry, its mouth almost drooling.

Seeing this, Russell no longer hesitated over the Enchanted Berry.

He held the berry with both hands, munching on it eagerly while mumbling indistinctly, “So good… this Saiban gave to me… whispers of Fantasy Beasts… my waist this… sweet and delicious, really good stuff!”

“Ga!” The Little Dream Dragon pouted.

It then continued wandering in the Snow Forest, aiming to find Fairy Saiban, as it too wanted to eat the Enchanted Berry.

Unfortunately, Fairy Saiban did not appear again.

Russell finished the sweet Enchanted Berry, noticing no change in his body, nor did he know if he could hear the private whispers of Fantasy Beasts.

In Gloomy Dreamland, he evidently didn’t meet the conditions necessary to hear the private whispers of Fantasy Beasts.

“Don’t be upset anymore, Ice Cream. Next time, if I have the chance to meet Fairy Saiban, I’ll ask for another Enchanted Berry for you,” Russell consoled the Little Dream Dragon with a craving mouth, “But say, does every Snow Forest on the Snowfields have the potential to give birth to a fairy?”
