Chapter 329: Chapter 322: Disguise - Part 2

Bang Bang Bang!!

Gu Lince was at the forefront, blocking three flying stones, his face whitening with each block.

"Run! It’s at the Taoist Master Level!!"

He yelled, but at that moment the cave kept shaking, and the two Daoist Masters were fighting in such a confined space that just the residual waves of their battle were unstoppable.

Meizi and Chen Fan both turned pale and quickly retreated under Gu Lince’s cover.

Lin Xin’s gaze also flickered as he followed in the retreat.

Just as they were about to reach the entrance they had come in, there was a loud bang, and Meizi was suddenly blocked by some invisible barrier.

The color drained from everyone’s faces.

"Why the rush to leave?"

Shen Jing suddenly appeared at the entrance, quietly gazing at everyone with a smile.

"The Prohibition Sphere of Shape-shifting Cave, huh?"

Luo Xin’er, wielding the Meteor Hammer, stood by his side, her body glowing with a faint white light.

"Interesting, you want to fight with me?" Shen Jing looked at Luo Xin’er with a corner of his mouth hooked in a sinister smile.

"I’ve long wanted to experience the might of the Silk String Leg technique." Luo Xin’er said coldly.

Without any nonsense, her figure blurred, and in a few flashes, she appeared right in front of Shen Jing, the watermelon-sized Meteor Hammer smashing fiercely down.

A burst of white light exploded, enveloping the two of them, with only the sounds of collisions echoing out.

The battle intensified, causing the cave to shake even more.

The last person in a red robe, entirely shrouded in his robe and not even showing his eyes, was, however, completely indifferent to the battle of the two Daoist Masters. He walked straight toward the black vortex emerging on the stone door.

Strangely, neither Jian An’s side nor Shen Jing’s seemed to notice his presence, as if he was completely ignored.

Even Gu Lince and others, who were watching and hiding in a corner, did not notice his movement.

The intense explosion sounds and vibrations continued to resonate inside the cave.

The sounds echoed repeatedly, deafening. If it were an ordinary person, not only would their body go numb and limp, but they would hardly be able to muster any strength.

But that person was unaffected, walking straight toward the black stone door.

Passing through Shen Jing’s group, crossing a hot spring pool, even the splashing water strangely avoided him, the red-robed person walked directly up to where Jian An and others were fighting, the formidable Golden Core Level Spiritual Pressure having no effect on him whatsoever.

Upon reaching the black swirling vortex in front of the door, he finally paused.

He reached out, directly grabbing toward the vortex.

"Sky Banner’s breath can counteract ten years of time, hehehe, such a treasure, no wonder even you are tempted."

Suddenly, a soft voice spread throughout the cave.

All shaking and collision sounds were unable to cover up this sound, which upon its emergence, made all other sounds merely a backdrop. It was imperiously unique.

The hand of the red-robed person stiffened mid-air, but he did not continue downward.

The other four who were fighting also separated and looked around doubtfully.

Only then did they realize with shock that the red-robed person had already reached the front of the black vortex, merely a step away.

"Who is there!" Jian An roared, not knowing when a golden bowl had appeared in his hand.

Shen Jing and the ethereal woman grouped together, also with uncertain expressions, closely observing their surroundings, ready to act at any moment.

Snap.

In the center of the cave’s hot spring, a black silhouette slowly descended from the black cave ceiling.

The figure, clad in a black cloak, landed gently on the ground with a crisp sound.

"Wusheng the Black Blade!!!"

Seeing his face instantaneously, everyone’s hearts chilled.

"Wusheng the Black Blade, one of the Green Snake Venerables!" Jian An gritted his teeth, "You actually followed me!?"

Wusheng the Black Blade’s expression was cold, his long hair fluttering automatically behind him without any wind, slowly drifting like black seaweed.

Without any movement, he just stood there, a strong, invisible oppressive feeling naturally emanating from him, heavily weighing on everyone’s hearts.

"Following you? Don’t make me laugh!"

He looked at Jian An with contempt and suddenly reached out his hand.

Boom!

Jian An was suddenly gripped by an invisible force by his neck and slammed against the wall, creating a loud noise.

Though they were more than ten meters apart, it seemed as if they were just face to face.

Jian An’s body was covered in glowing Protective Aura, madly striking at the invisible force, but to no avail.

Shen Jing and the ethereal woman also had their pupils constrict, simultaneously stepping back a few steps, their bodies surrounded by rising white light-rune protective shields. "Attacking us juniors, aren’t you afraid that my Shape-shifting Cave will hold you accountable?" Shen Jing boldly said.

"Shape-shifting Cave, Jade Pure Dao, and the Red Spine Sect, tsk tsk tsk, all are renowned major sects." Wusheng the Black Blade sarcastically said. "I’m so scared, I really am."

His eyes suddenly shifted, staring at Shen Jing. A flash of dark energy in his pupils.

Puff!

Shen Jing’s head exploded abruptly.

Blood, brain matter, and shattered bones spattered all over the woman beside him.

Jian An, who was struggling violently, also froze in fear, not daring to move any further.Wusheng flipped his hand and threw Jian An off, allowing him to fly out and roll down against the stone wall.

"In this cave, there are two secret treasures."

A sly, sinister smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"One is the Heavenly Banner Spiritual Energy, and the other is Green Garment Lotus Seed. There are only two objects, but"

He paused and turned his gaze toward the area where Gu Lince and the others were hiding.

"Yet, we are three."

The mysterious person entirely clad in a red robe was also slightly startled and followed Wusheng’s gaze toward Gu Lince’s location.

Wusheng started laughing eerily.

"How should we distribute them, then?"

Gu Lince felt a chill run down his spine as he was inexplicably scrutinized by the two strong figures.

But upon closer inspection, he realized they were not looking at him but rather behind him.

Meizi and Chen Fan quickly moved aside, only to see Lin Xin standing still where he was.

"Haiji!"

Meizi reached out to pull Lin Xin but was abruptly grabbed by Chen Fan.

"Don’t go! He’s not Haiji!"

Meizi’s body trembled with disbelief.

Lin Xin wore a puzzled expression.

"I am not Xia Haiji, then who is? What’s wrong with you all? Meizi, Brother Chen, Captain!"

He took a step toward the three of them, only to see Chen Fan pulling Meizi back several steps and looking at him warily.

"No! You are not Haiji! You didn’t recognize the secret signals between him and me, the best cooperation we’re known for. I’ve been suspecting it from the beginning," Chen Fan said warily.

"In the past, you were always the most protective of Meizi, but this time, you’ve been lagging at the back all along and haven’t made a single protective move." He turned out to be such an observant person.

"Indeed, I’ve had my doubts too," Captain Gu Lince stepped forward, shielding the two. "When you spoke to me, it always felt odd. I couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong, but now that I think about it, your reactions have been far too slow. Looking at Ming Qiao, you didn’t show any hint of affection either."

Lin Xin’s expression stiffened, but he didn’t expect so many flaws to be seen through. His puzzled innocence on his face slowly returned to calm.

His figure started to shift slowly, distorting like water ripples, gradually transforming into a completely different appearance.

The same black cloak wrapped around his entire body, his face sinisterly handsome as if it hadn’t seen sunlight for a long time, pale and delicate.

His pitch-black hair, silky as satin, draped over his shoulders. Shockingly, his face had reverted back to the original Lin Xin.

"Interesting, to think my disguise had so many flaws." His gaze passed over the three and fell on Wusheng and the man in the red robe, revealing a hint of a smile.

"So, how did you realize it was me?"

His question was clearly directed at Wusheng.

"I’m only interested in the powerful," Wusheng replied with a sinister laugh. "I thought it was only a rumor, yet to my surprise, the Crown Prince truly has boundless potential, achieving such a realm in just under fifty."

He turned to look at the man in the red robe.

"Brother Fu, if I were to kill the Crown Prince in this broken temple, would it anger Huang Yuan True Monarch enough to personally pursue me?"

He said mockingly.

The man in the red robe remained silent.

Lin Xin began to smile.

"If you think you can, you might try," he said.

"Although I don’t know what grievances you have with Yuan Dou Demon Sect or why you targeted me as soon as you came out, since you’ve spoken these words in front of me, you must be prepared to be killed," he said.

As those words were spoken, the entire cave became subtly hotter, a hot, scorching air quickly surrounding Lin Xin. The invisible heat baked everything nearby.

The nearby hot spring pool began to boil rapidly, bubbling up.

Gu Lince hurriedly pulled Chen Fan and Meizi to find another spot to hide.

A heavy, frenzied pressure emanated from Lin Xin, slowly pressing toward Wusheng and his companion.

"Killed? By you?!"

Ha!

Wusheng’s body suddenly shook, releasing the same invisible Spiritual Pressure, rushing fiercely to collide with Lin Xin’s Spiritual Pressure.

Bang!!

The two invisible air currents violently collided.

Whew...

The scorching air, faintly tinged with black, suddenly dispersed.

The hot spring pool between them was slowly squeezed apart, forming a straight crack as if an invisible blade had cleaved the pool in two. The ground also slowly cracked, revealing sharp edges.

The other Golden Core members hurriedly retreated, fearing they might be caught in the middle of the two’s Spiritual Pressure.

"Boundless skies and frosted fields," Wusheng’s hands gathered countless black energies, slowly condensing into a pitch-black longsword without a handle.

"Dao Seeking First Blade, Wing Demon!!!"

He raised his right hand, his body suddenly shooting forward like a gliding swallow, tracing a twisted, bizarre arc.

His black blade suddenly dissolved, transforming into a giant black swallow, its sharp wings slashing toward Lin Xin like blades.

Lin Xin, however, raised one hand, and a blood-red longsword faintly emerged in his hand, held horizontally in front of him. He looked up at the swooping Wusheng.

"Red Flower Sword Path, Qilin!!"

Suddenly, surging blood-red flames ignited around him. The blood-like firelight soared into the sky.
