Chapter 213: Chapter 206: Fierce Battle

The small fish shimmered in golden light, quickly replenishing most of the uncompleted details of its body, transforming into a delicate golden-scaled fish. With a flick of its tail, it circled around Hua Yunu.

"Go and retrieve the other half," Hua Yunu said in the ghostly tongue.

The small fish nodded at him, hovered in mid-air for a moment, and then suddenly darted toward the white fox below.

"Hmm?" Hua Yunu followed the movement of the small fish with his eyes, and Spiritual Energy slowly began to ripple around him.

"Could it be right here?" His gaze grew heavy, and he slowly heightened his alertness.

The golden fish headed straight for the white fox.

Dongyue and another person were hiding behind the white fox’s lower back fur. Dongyue slightly exposed a gap, peering through the fur to see the golden fish approaching in their direction. They immediately tensed, daring not to breathe loudly.

When the small fish was about a hundred meters away from the white fox, it suddenly dared not come any closer and stopped, swimming back and forth nearby, but never advancing further.

While it did not advance, it continued to circle around the white fox, refusing to leave.

Hua Yunu’s eyes hardened, and with a gesture, he immediately drew the golden fish back into his sleeve. He stepped onto his Flying Sword and descended slowly, landing gently on the ground.

The waterfall’s roar was deafening, and thick mist filled the air, limiting visibility to no more than ten meters. Hua Yunu slowly approached the white fox, his footsteps light and barely audible.

Although he moved extremely slowly and with great caution, as he began to slowly circle and inspect the area, he gradually approached where Dongyue and his companion were hiding.

The two were hidden behind, their bodies tense. Both were severely injured and had been chased for a long time; they were at their most vulnerable, and if discovered, there would undoubtedly be no chance of survival.

"If I were you, I wouldn’t take another step forward."

Suddenly, a voice came from behind him.

Hua Yunu swiftly turned around, his eyes fiercely fixated on a person beside the waterfall.

"It’s you again!"

The person, with Dual Swords hanging at his waist and a gaunt distressed face, stood amongst several rocks beside the waterfall, as if he had been there for a long time. It was the mysterious man who had saved them earlier.

"Hua Yunu, known abroad as the Transforming Dragon, I’ve long heard of you."

He unfastened the Dual Swords from his waist and held them in his hands. A tremendous red Spiritual Pressure suddenly spread out, forming ripples that extended in all directions.

On the rocks, on the ground, on the waterfall’s spray, and even in the misty air, everything was tinged with a faint red hue.

Raising the swords, crossed in front of him, Lin Xin’s eyes faintly glowed with a sinister dark red.

"Please enlighten me."

"Scum!"

A flash of anger crossed Hua Yunu’s eyes.

With a single grasp, he suddenly pulled a golden dragon-shaped Spiritual Energy from the air around him, attaching it to his right arm. A golden line spread from his arm, across his shoulder, up his neck, and from his chin straight to his forehead, splitting his face in two.

Hiss!

Hua Yunu’s neatly bound hair burst open, flowing backward without any wind.

Boom! A loud crash!

The two of them disappeared almost instantly, clashing together fiercely like shooting stars.

The red blade and the golden sword collided like hammers, casting a terrifying glow of golden-red light.

Lin Xin’s Dual Swords whirled, transforming into a blood-red stormy whirlwind, attacking from every direction—up, down, left, and right. The massive red Spiritual Pressure rolled and surged like boiling water, colliding and cancelling out the opposing golden Spiritual Pressure.

Like two immense walls pushing against each other, the forces were evenly matched.

"Draw Sword Split Water! Dragon Eye!" Hua Yunu lightly shouted, one eye suddenly turning into a golden vertical pupil. His Sword Speed doubled in an instant, bringing forth a terrifying golden Sword Light spike, aimed directly at Lin Xin’s chest.

Hiss!

As if rubies, the Dual Swords crossed to block in front, Lin Xin bent backward, the swords obliquely blocking upward, flicking the golden spike into the sky.

Hiss!!

The golden spike flew obliquely, landing on the waterfall behind, and with a bang, it created a lasting golden circular hole in the waterfall. The water above bizarrely defied gravity, unable to fall.

Lin Xin straightened up, taking advantage of the moment his opponent was catching his breath, his figure flashed suddenly, his Dual Swords splitting into dozens of afterimages, like layers of wings, slashing towards Hua Yunu’s neck.

Unexpectedly, the opponent seemed to have anticipated this, his golden Longsword already waiting ahead, lightly deflecting the Sword Shadows away.

"Heart Technique."

Lin Xin let out a long chant, suddenly speeding up dramatically, coming in close like a red line.

Ding ding ding ding...!

Like rain on banana leaves, the horrifyingly slowed movement was now too fast for the naked eye, only showing the two combatants moving from the ground to mid-air, sparks of golden fire splashing between them, transforming into golden characters, forming golden chains that suddenly tightened, wrapping around Hua Yunu.

Clang!

Lin Xin’s blood-red figure, almost phantasmal, passed right through the bound Hua Yunu, suddenly stopping.

Between them, red and golden lights intertwined and tangled, and suddenly, Hua Yunu’s body burst open with numerous gashes.

It was only then that the waterfall’s water torrentially fell, the previously compressed water crashing down as if a ten-thousand-ton weight had been dropped into the water, splashing up more than ten meters high.

All suddenly quieted down, the incessant raindrops from the massive waterfall splashing down, falling toward the two men, all squeezed aside by the Spiritual Pressure.

Hua Yunu looked down at the dense blood wounds on his body—one narrowly missed piercing his heart while another had grazed his chin from below, nearly disfiguring him.

"Hehe... hehehehe...!!!" He suddenly started laughing maniacally.

"How dare... how dare you...!"

His right cheek, eyes shining brighter with golden light, the ferocious dragon eyes’ vertical pupils contracted even further, emitting circles of golden ripples instead.

"How dare you harm my supreme and noble body...!" Hua Yunu’s voice slightly altered.

He turned around, his body’s golden Spiritual Energy boiling vigorously.

"Very well, let me show you, what truly allows me, Hua Yunu, to confront the Golden Core Stage Righteous Path head-on!"

He stretched out his right arm, and the Flying Fish Sword suddenly transformed into a phantom, becoming longer in mid-air and with a roar, turned into a long dragon made of golden Spiritual Energy, ferociously charging into his right half.

With a golden line as the axis at the center, Hua Yunu’s right side burst open, pierced by numerous golden spikes grown from his flesh underneath. The spikes overlapped like scales, densely covering his entire right side from arm to leg, from waist to neck.

Half of his face transformed directly into a golden dragon head, the golden vertical pupil flickering, faintly tracing streaks of light.

"Die!"

Hua Yunu roared, his voice a bizarre mix of a fierce beast’s and a human’s.

His right arm suddenly extended, growing bigger and thicker, instantly crossing a distance of more than ten meters, reaching for Lin Xin’s head.

"Red Flower Chorusing."

Lin Xin flicked his sword blade, creating a series of afterimages as he met the attack head-on, the Dual Swords merging into one like a bolt of lightning, slashing toward the dragon arm.

The clear clanging of swords mixed with the dragon’s roar.

Boom!

Under a massive impact of Spiritual Energy, a figure suddenly flew backward, crashing into the waterfall’s rock wall, forming a deep black hole.

Huge rocks and debris tumbled down from above, splashing into the pond, emitting sounds like raindrops.

"Hahahaha!!" Hua Yunu laughed uproariously to the sky.

"Merely a sneaky novice dares to contend against my Dragon King’s foundation face-to-face! Ignorant of life and death!!!"

Half of his body was a Golden Dragon, covered in menacing spikes, his arm over a meter thick and five to six meters long, looking monstrously huge. Laughing wildly at the moment, he appeared not as a man, but a beast instead.

Everything fell into silence. There was no movement from the hole that had been smashed, and all was still.

Hua Yunu turned to look at the slowly opening eyes of the hibernating fox.

He reached out with a claw.

The gigantic dragon arm fiercely grabbed the white fox’s neck, a crack resounding, as the huge mountain-like white fox shrieked sharply, suddenly shattering into countless wisps of white air scattering around.

The white air continuously tried to regroup into the white fox but couldn’t condense due to the golden light radiating from the golden dragon arm.

"The Blood Beast... a Blood Beast actually...!"

Behind the colossal fox, Dongyue’s two people watched the terrifying scene, dumbstruck. The Blood Beast, an indestructible natural phenomenon, not a sentient being, would recover swiftly even if killed, neither living nor dying; most cultivators chose to avoid it, but this person had actually...!

"Dragon King’s foundation, vanquishing all evil!!" Hua Yunu laughed wildly.

"You are not a Righteous Path Cultivator!! No! You are not a cultivator at all!!" Suddenly, Dongyue seemed to realize something. His eyes stared in terror at the other.

"Oh?" Hua Yunu floated up, gazing down at him, "I’m not a Righteous Path Cultivator, are you perhaps? An insignificant little creature?"

"No... he is a cultivator...!" Jing’er, as a bug controller, spoke with unusual firmness. "Dragon King’s foundation... the Transforming Dragon Technique... I understand some things now..."

Hua Yunu lowered his head, asking with some curiosity.

"What do you understand? Speak, if it pleases me, perhaps I could leave your bodies whole."

Jing’er, however, shook her head, just gently looking at Dongyue.

"Dragons, powerful creatures vanished many years ago, anything left of them possesses unparalleled terrifying life force... and devouring power, Yue’er... I’ve dragged you and that senior into this..."

"What are you talking about?" Dongyue hugged her, pulling her behind him.

"If I die... in a hundred years, you must remember to perform a Soul Sacrifice for me..." Jing’er’s eyes welled up with sadness.

"Jing’er, you!!" Dongyue was about to speak.

Whoosh...

Suddenly, a wave of extremely hot air rushed in from afar, slanting upward.

The scorching hot wind made it impossible for Dongyue to open his eyes, forcing him to cover his face with his hands.

The intense heat continued unabated, sweeping out from a black hole beside the waterfall.

Hua Yunu’s expression tightened slightly, seemingly aware of an unusual aura spreading from within the hole.

"What is this...?!" His eyes fixed on the black hole, the golden light in his dragon eyes flickering, as if trying to discern what was happening inside. (To be continued.
