Chapter 76: Her Heart’s Desire

Chapter 76: Her Heart’s Desire

Viviana sucked in a breath and brought a passable smile to her face. She had enough time to think about it. In the end, nothing has changed.

Except, she had her first time.

She cannot regret that now because she wanted to do it. She consented to it, and she enjoyed every bit of it. That exchange they had should not have more meaning than it was something that happened between two consenting adults.

She did think if she should talk to Leander about it. But then she decided against it. What is there to talk about?

She also decided not to do "it" again.

She wanted to know what it feels like. And it felt good. She loved that experience and that one time is enough.

She was always good at giving up her interests. She can give up her very recent interest too. It won’t be hard.

But her heart skipped a beat seeing Leander. With just a play of his fingers, he unbuttoned his suit jacket and removed it. Without knowing she walked to him and got the jacket from his hand.

As if she is an obedient wife!

As someone who is ruled by her heart, when his image fell in her eyes, her heart went on autopilot and moved her according to her deep heart desires.

"Did you sleep well?" he wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her.

Not just a peck, but a kiss. Well, maybe she allowed him to kiss her and he went along.

His lips were red and glistening and his eyes were shimmering with gentleness as she looked at him. When he swallowed, she could see his Adam’s apple bobbing. He had a very prominent Adam’s apple. His Adam’s apple made her heart skip a beat. She wanted to lick it.

But she controlled herself. Being with him, her animalistic instincts get awakened. She needs to find a way to control herself.

She didn’t know why he is acting differently with her.

As if anything has changed in his heart!

"I did," she smiled. She wondered if he is planning on "using" her as he pleases as long as she would be left alive. Maybe that’s his animalistic instinct. That made sense. He doesn’t have to like her to kiss her. He’s a man.

"I didn’t want to wake you. You were very tired... I didn’t know you drooled though," he smirked and handed his watch to her.

"I did not drool!" Viviana stomped her feet.

In just a second, her confusion vanished and she was into the conversation. For someone who thinks a lot, she was changing her mind a lot too without even realizing it. She’s gone pathetic.

Leander laughed holding his belly. Viviana didn’t understand why he is laughing this much.

"Why did you kiss a drooler then?" she asked with a pout.

"’cause, you taste good!" Leander bopped her nose.

Viviana scoffed. What does that even mean?

Leander placed his cuff links and his chain on her hand. With the same pout, she walked to the closet to replace his stuff.

"Can I use the drawer in the closet to store your jewelry?" she asked peeking out of the closet. "That dresser drawer of yours is very messy!"

She had the urge to organize the drawer for a long time. But she held back. As someone very organized, she couldn’t even bear to look in the direction of the dresser knowing that it is very unorganized. Maybe she can change that.

"Do what you want," Leander shrugged.

"Great!" Viviana was glad. Now she will have something to do to pass time.

Leander saw her running back and forth with his jewelry. Sitting on the bed, he watched her with a smile on his face.

Turns out, all he needed to like his home was not cats but a mouse!

"When are you going to finish?" he asked.

"Ten more minutes... these gold chains are tangled into a ball...," Viviana said without even looking at him.

"Shall we have lunch? I am hungry...," Leander walked to her.

"Just a minute. It won’t take long..." she said not even looking at his face.

Leander pulled a chair and watched her do her thing. She had amazing concentration and patience. In his hands, those gold chains would have been kept aside to be melted. He didn’t know that she is the type who won’t stop until finishing what they started.

"Minnie..." he called her. "Minnie... Minnie..." he called her ten more times. But she didn’t answer him.

"Mousy!" he shouted. He did not like to be ignored.

"What?" she looked at him.

Leander smiled. She hasn’t gotten used to the new name yet. He sometimes has the urge to call her using her birth name ’Viviana’, but he didn’t want to risk it. They say even the walls have ears. He cannot put her in danger for his silly wish.

She likes his pet name better than the other name. That’s cute!

She really is like a mouse. The way she likes to leap and jump, how she is scared of cats...

Cute mouse.

"Why do you even have this much jewelry?" she asked after untangling the last chain.

Even from a young age, he wears a lot of jewelry. Evander used to wear a lot of jewelry too, but he doesn’t anymore. She thought there might be a story there.

"Just because," he shrugged.

He just has them. He never thought about it. But looking at her curious eyes, he wanted to answer her. So, he thought about it.

"My grandfather likes to buy me jewelry each year on my birthday. And my mom likes it if I wear collar chains... "

"Oh..." Viviana nodded.

So, he does not have an interest in it. Maybe that’s why he never pierced his ears. She remembered the time when all the men in the mafia families were interested in wearing studs. Only Leander was the exception.

"When’s your birthday?" she asked. "You won’t have a place to store any more jewelry in your closet. It’s full," she showed him the open trays in the drawers.

"I didn’t know I had this much..." Leander walked through the drawers. "Ah... I forgot I had this one..." he picked up a brooch. "Remind me to wear it tomorrow."

"Okay," Viviana placed it back.

"I didn’t know I still had this watch!" he picked up a watch.

Placing it on his palm, he looked keenly at it. Of all the watches he owned, that one was the least expensive.

He then threw the watch in the trash.

Viviana was shocked. Her dream once was to own a watch from that brand. He just threw it in the trash like that. She turned to get it. "Why did you~"

Leander pulled her grabbing her wrist. She ended up banging on his strong chest. He pinched her chin softly to make her look at him as his hand wrapped around her waist.

Viviana’s heart pounded uncontrollably; initially out of shock, but afterward, looking into his eyes.

"Buy me a gift," he said, his voice vibrating in a low rumble.

Viviana blinked.
