Chapter 374: Future Husband

When they reached there, that apartment building was vacated by Ralph Florio, Angelina’s brother. Leonardo noticed that the building was swarming with Florio’s men. Leonardo smirked.

The one who messed with Angelina stupidly messed with the wrong woman. Did they not know who she was?

Seeing Leonardo coming in, Ralph came out from the security room. "Why are you here?"

Leonardo couldn’t read Ralph’s expression. He appeared to not want him there. It can’t be the case for a lot of reasons. Also, he was surprised to see him in his pajamas. "I got a message about~"

"We can handle it here. You can leave," Ralph pushed Leonardo’s chest.

Leonardo stood firm. This never happened before.

’What is this, Ralph? What is happening here?" he asked looking at Ralph’s hand on his chest.

"Nothing,’ Ralph didn’t look at Leonardo’s face. He looked angry. "I can protect my sister. You don’t have to bother. You only bring trouble to her. She doesn’t need your care!"

Leonardo had a lot of questions. Since when did Ralph care about Leena? Those from her family rarely see her because she stays in the Vitale house all the time. What’s with the sudden care they grew for her?

Also, the Vitale family and the Florio family are very close. Ralph’s words can be interpreted as the Floria family wanting a break from the Vitale family. It would have a lot of consequences.

Is this the elder’s decision, or... Was it Leena’s request?

He observed Ralph and he was nervous as he talked to his men about the details. Is Ralph truly that worried for his sister?

He hoped it was the latter. But he didn’t want to waste his time thinking about it.

"Which floor she’s on?" he asked Ralph. Ralph didn’t answer. He signaled his men and they charged in through the hallways holding weapons.

"Which floor?" Leonardo asked Ignazio this time.

"Tenth," Ignazio answered.

"Cover me," Leonardo pulled out the biggest gun they had and went to the elevator.

"No, stop!" Ralph shouted. He didn’t think Leonardo would jump into the action himself. He was informed that the men who had Angelina were all well-equipped. Leonardo would die if he went there first.

"She’s my responsibility!" Leonardo said with a smirk and entered the elevator without hesitation.

Ignazio and Leonardo’s men took the stairs.

"F*ck this! Cut the power!" Ralph shouted at his men and rushed to the elevator. They cannot let the Vitale heir die. His father would kill him!

The power did go off but then the emergency power hit almost immediately and the elevator went up and up.

"Move!" Ralph ordered the men and they got up the stairs.

The elevator stopped at the tenth floor and Ralph heard loud bangs that followed. At that time, the men in black tactical gear hiding in the shadows attacked. Within a few seconds, the entire apartment building lit up with flashes of weapons, and loud bangs echoed everywhere.

When Ralph went to the tenth floor, the marble floor was slippery with the blood of the heaps of men lying dead. When he reached the apartment where Angelina was held, he raised his weapon seeing the door off the hinges. The TV screen was filled with bullet holes and the couch was entirely damaged.

A bloody footprint led to the bedroom and holding his gun, Ralph took a peak. The silence was eerie.

By the door was a man. Ralph wondered if he could be called a man still. His skull was smashed to a pulp and he was lying in a weird position as if every bone on his body was broken.

It was just a heap of meat and blood; a lot of blood.

Ralph saw Leonardo sitting on the bed gently untying the ties on her legs. He dreaded to look at his sister but she was covered with Leonardo’s robe. Seeing her closed eyes made his heart race. The broken camera equipment around the room didn’t give him any comfort. It made knots in his stomach as he dreaded the news he was going to hear.

Ralph bowed his head and saw Leonardo’s sandals drenched in blood. It looked like the man at the door was stomped to death by Leonardo.

"She’s fine. Just drugged up," Leonardo said. "Not even a scratch on her..."

Ralph let out a sigh of relief. He wouldn’t have known what he would have done if something happened to his sister. They would have gotten back at whoever it was, but they wouldn’t have been able to console their sister. She was saving herself for that idiotic guy.

Leonardo gently picked her up. "I’m taking her home." He told Ralph.

Ralph took in a deep breath. "Why?" he asked blocking Leonardo.

’Move, Ralph," Leonardo said. His eyes were red and his hands were shaking. He looked distressed.

"I cannot allow you to hurt my sister anymore, Leonardo. She’s done waiting for you," Ralph said. He didn’t care about her sister’s feelings anymore. Her family needs her safe and alive.

"Who says?" Leonardo asked. Who is he to say that she’s done? She should say that.

"I have the right! I am her brother!" Ralph raised his voice and reached to get his sister.

Their family has seen enough. Their baby sister lost herself in her quest to make this guy fall for her. She doesn’t have to wait anymore. She should not pine over him any longer.

Leonardo took a step back. "And I am her future husband. I say she stays with me!"

With a scoff, Leonardo walked around the astonished Ralph and got out of the room.

"Ignazio, I need to know who these motherf8ckers are. I want them all exterminated," Leonardo said as he walked to the elevator.

In the car, Leonardo gently caressed Angelina’s face.

"What an idiot!" he brushed her hair falling on her face. "You said you’d be fine alone and look what..." he couldn’t even finish as his voice shook.

When he saw that guy on top of her, he lost himself. The beast he locks inside leaped out and devoured him. He still thought that the b*stard had it easy. He shouldn’t have died so easily. He should have~

Leonardo’s hands relaxed as he heard Angelina moan.

"It’s okay... It’s okay, Leena..." He gently caressed her cheek. "You’re fine. I’m here; Your future husband is here..."
