Chapter 352: Hurting Her

Angelina watched Viviana helping Vito take his pills.

"Your sister, huh?" Angelina pressed her lips. She leaned on the couch and crossed her legs. "I thought she would be different."

"Different?" Leonardo scoffed. "What? With horns on her head or something?"

Angelina rolled her eyes. "Never mind..."

"Ziya!!" Leonardo called Ziya who was running around. Maybe she was conscious of the stranger in the room, she avoided him. He wanted to introduce Ziya to Leena.

Ziya waddled her way to Leonardo with a bright smile. "Ardo!" she jumped at him and Leonardo caught her and spun her around. Ziya giggled happily.

"Why aren’t you in bed yet?" he asked tickling her belly. "Look at you! You look tired. It’s bedtime, isn’t it? What’s in your tummy? You have a really round potbelly going on here? What do you have in here?"

Although Ziya was not pleased to hear the word "bedtime", she couldn’t stop giggling as Leonardo tickled her.

"Come on, give Ardo a kiss," he showed his cheek and Ziya gave him a kiss enthusiastically.

"Who is a good girl?" he kissed her cheeks.

He sat on the couch with Ziya on his lap. Viviana nodded and Leonardo. Ziya is sleepy and she might fall asleep any time.

Angelina was shocked seeing Leonardo being so gentle with the baby. As far as she knew, Leonardo never bothered with little kids. He found them annoying.

He has changed, hasn’t he?

She watched him with a smile. Then she ran to the guest room remembering something. She came back with a beautiful teddy bear.

"Ziya, I’m Leena. I got this for you. Here..." she gave her the toy.

Ziya blinked her pretty eyes. "You have your grandfather’s eyes, huh?" Angelina patted Ziya’s cheek. "Oh, you’re so soft..." she cooed. "You’re so adorable... I want to eat you..." she leaned forward.

Leonardo flicked her forehead. "Stay away, glutton. You will not eat my niece! Don’t worry Ziya. Ardo will protect you from this gluttonous demon," he hugged Ziya.

Ziya held out her hand and grabbed the teddy bear.

"Hah!" Leena scoffed. "See, she loves me! Move away!" She held out her hand and Ziya jumped to Angelina.

Leonardo grunted. "Traitor!"

But seeing Angelina carefully carrying around Ziya, he smiled.

"Where did you get the toy?" he asked holding the teddy bear. It looked cute. No wonder Ziya likes it.

"I was planning on visiting Uncle Vito. I brought gifts for everyone. I have one for your sister too," Angelina winked.

"Where is my gift?" Leonardo asked.

At that time, Viviana was walking toward them and Angelina turned her attention toward her, ignoring Leonardo.

"Hello, I am Minerva," Viviana walked to her. "Dad said a lot of great things about you."

"Uncle must have exaggerated a lot," Angelina smiled.

"Dad was exaggerating," Leonardo said.

Both of them didn’t even look at him. Even Ziya didn’t look for him and was staring at the teddy bear Angelina gave her. He rolled his eyes.

"Hey, look at that?" Viviana spoke in an exaggerated tone making Ziya smile. "Oh, Ziya got a beautiful gift! Did Ziya say thank you? Say, thank you!"

Ziya smiled. "Thank you," she said with her childish intonations. She hugged the bear tightly and wanted to jump to her mother.

Angelina passed Ziya to Viviana.

"Where’s my gift?" Leonardo shouted from behind.

"Ah, wait a moment," Angelina held her arm and ran inside.

She came out with a box and it looked like jewelry.

"For me?" Viviana smiled. "Thank you! I appreciate it."

They moved to the couch and Angelina mostly ignored Leonardo and talked with Viviana. Leonardo was pissed and he stormed off to his room. Vito too retired to his room before making sure Angelina’s needs are met. Ziya fell asleep and Martha brought her to her crib.

Only Viviana and Angelina were left.

"You really didn’t buy any gifts for Leonardo?" Viviana asked.

She might be wrong, but she sensed something there. Angelina might have some feelings left for Leonardo. It is a good thing. All she’d heard about Angelina was that she was a good girl. Viviana didn’t want to judge her early. Her father was excited about Allison too.

"Where is his girlfriend?" Angelina whispered in her ear.

"I think you won’t have to worry about her anymore," Viviana said.

"It’s over...?" Angelina’s eyes widened and her face lit up with a bright smile. But like someone snuffed it out, her face returned to normal. "Why should I care for him? What did Uncle say to you? You should know that I do not hold a candle for him!" She said with a slightly loud voice.

"Mm-kay..." Viviana leaned back. That was a quick change of attitude.

She wondered what made her attitude change. It was then she heard Leonardo’s footsteps behind her.

Oh, that’s why.

"Why are you still here?" Angelina asked with her lips curled. She tried to look disgusted seeing Leonardo but she looked absolutely cute. Viviana wanted to keep her with her all the time. She was that cute.

"Are you trying to eavesdrop? I thought we were the women!"

What surprised Viviana more was Leonardo’s lack of rebuttal. He grumbled something under his breath and sat between them. Angelina tried to push him down from the couch, but Leonardo was not moving.

"So, Angelina, what are your future plans?" Viviana asked.

"Dating, marriage, family, kids... charity on the side..." Angelina shrugged.

Viviana nodded. It’s a good plan. Who wouldn’t want to start their family? It won’t be hard for a well-accomplished woman like her.

Leonardo turned to look closely at Angelina for some time. All of a sudden, he slapped his thigh and jumped. "You’re not kidding!"

Angelina glared at Leonardo. "Why would I kid about this?" She shook her head with a sigh. "I am 26. I’m in my prime. I can nab anyone I want to."

Leonardo ended up in a fit of laughter. "What? What? Anyone? Do you hear yourself? Family? Kids? What happened to~"

"Stop it!" Viviana slapped his back. "You’re being mean to her, Leonardo. Why can’t she wish for a family?"

Leonardo rubbed his back and looked at Viviana. "You hit me!" he said.

"I’m sorry..." Viviana rubbed his back. "But you are hurting her."

"Hurting her? Me?" Leonardo scoffed. "I’m being realistic! What does she know about marriage or having kids? What does she know about being a woman? Just yesterday she wanted to pee standing up and now she wants to have kids? What?"

Viviana glared at him. "Look! Now you’ve made her cry!" she stood up and hugged Angelina.

Angelina sniffed in Viviana’s embrace. "Am I that unattractive, Minerva?" she asked choking on her emotions.

"Do not listen to him," Viviana patted her head. "You’re the prettiest woman I’ve seen. Any man would beg to take you as his wife... Do not listen to that guy over there. He’s just... Don’t mind him..."

Holding her hand, Viviana helped Angelina up.

"Where are you going?" Leonardo asked.

Viviana didn’t answer him and brought Angelina with her.

"I have news about your Lion," Leonardo said.

Viviana stopped.
