Chapter 247: Determination And Dispute

Chapter 247: Determination And Dispute

Leonardo hit Evander in the face until his anger reduced. Nadia shouted from the side for Leonardo to stop. She couldn’t watch the violence happening in front of her.

But above all, she couldn’t accept that Leonardo is doing everything for that woman!

"Oh, you want me to stop?"

Leonardo’ asked his men to stop and his attention turned to Nadia.

Nadia immediately regretted voicing out. She did not want that man’s attention on her.

"You can help him," Leonardo smiled angelically. The demonic impression he had on his face just moments ago was gone as if he had changed his masks.

"You can take his place..." he smirked walking to her. "He’s going to die today, or tomorrow, who knows? You can take on his punishments on you, you know..." Leonardo laughed.

Nadia shook her head as much as she could. She saw the various "equipment" those men brought. It looked like they were planning on...sodomizing Evander.

"That’s what I thought," Leonardo patted Nadia’s cheek. "Now watch what happens when you anger the wrong guy."

Evander was still cursing out Leander. He thought that Leander was the one collaborating with Leonardo to destroy him.

Leonardo just stood above him with a smile. "The one the doctors built for you is not looking very good, is it? Eww! Does it even work as a proper one? It doesn’t look like it... Yuck!" he twisted his lips in disgust. "My sister did a good job though..."

Leonardo smiled pridefully and walked out of the room. He is not interested in what happened in that room. He would have watched if Evander was a woman. But even without his penis, he is still a man. He was not interested.

"Sister?" Evander shouted behind him.

Nadia looked like she had seen a ghost.

Leonardo didn’t mind them and left the room. His father told him that detail after his escape from a smoking helicopter. His father was a bit impressed with his son-in-law who could pull that stunt even though he was angry someone infiltrated his fortress.

But still, his father was proud. Leonardo was not that pleased with Leander.

And when Leonardo heard that the woman he wanted by his side, was his sister, he was not disappointed. He felt some deep connection with her the moment he saw her. And now he knows what that feeling was.

He believed Leander is keeping her close to him because of what his sister did to his family. No wonder she was so brave! She has the Vitale blood flowing through her veins. Of course, she would cut off the manhood of the man she hates. She has the right to do that.

She might not have had the chance to kill Evander. He will make sure her wish comes true.

Leonardo’s face bloomed with a smile remembering the short interaction he had with her on the elevator. That smile... he’s never seen such a pure smile on anyone’s face before.

She is the only person who smiled at him from her heart. The flicker of honest fun she had when she talked to him without expecting anything back was very rare for him to come by. Every woman he’s been with expects something in return. But she... she just had fun talking to him. His father is honest with him but he never smiles or laughs with him.

She’s the only one. He loved her for it.

He wants her with him. If she is his sister, shouldn’t she live in his home? Why should she be with that other guy when she has a better home? Who are the Kastellos compared to the great Vitale family? He can give her everything she wants and some more.

She can have a better husband than the one they call "The Lion". He can get her a "Dragon" or a "Tiger". Lions are so overrated.

He will get her. No one, not even his father, can stop him.

Viviana kicked the broken piece of drone down the kill. "Are you sure it was Leonardo Vitale? What a creep! Why was he watching us?"

She looked at Leander rubbing her back. She didn’t know if she had aged so much that a little dancing is hurting so much. Or it could be her period is going to arrive.

Leander’s jaws were stiff and he looked like he was contemplating something deeply. He then mumbled something. "...brother...maybe he’s not..."

Leander looked at her. He thought that Leonardo might be her brother. But if he’s being creepy about her, then that might not be the case. He sighed.

"You look tired," he wiped the layer of perspiration on her forehead. "Are you hurting?" he held her chin gently.

"It’s nothing," Viviana smiled. It touches her heart whenever he cares for her like this. "I think it’s my period...My back hurts."

He raised his eyes and held her hand. "Should I ask to bring the car? Can you ride the bike?" he asked.

"I’m fine," Viviana waved her hand. Although she was scared of the oncoming pain, she was glad to some extent.

She won’t be having the surgery if her period arrives!

"What are you happy about?" Leander asked.

Viviana was amazed that he could see the sliver of a smile on her face.

"I don’t think they would do the surgery if I got my period," she told him.

Leander shook his head despondently. He was worried about the pain she would be in. The last time, he couldn’t watch her. But all she cares is about...

"Is being in pain very agreeable to you? You’d rather be in pain than get surgery?" he asked. Why is she insisting on living with pain?

Viviana shrugged.

"Do you not trust me? Do you think that I’d sneak around and take out your uterus?" he asked.

Viviana pressed her lips and looked away. She didn’t want to answer him.

"Why do you even need it? It’s not like anyone would doubt if you’re a woman without it!" he shouted at her.

Viviana let out a sigh. She knew it. He still did not get her point. And is she wrong to not trust him fully in this issue?

"Or...Are you thinking that you’re going to get pregnant somehow?" he asked.

Viviana looked in the distance at St. Michael’s Church. She knows that the odds are stacked against her and yet she still dreams that she might get pregnant.

Can a miracle happen?

"You know it’s not going to happen!" Leander sighed.

Ever since she talked to Helena and touched her belly, she’s having her head in the clouds. He gets that she wishes to become pregnant. But he needs her to be grounded in reality. Otherwise, she is going to hurt herself with her hopeless optimism.

"Keep on being negative," Viviana scoffed and walked away.

"I am being realistic. Why is it hard for you to~"

"Stop it, Leander. Why can’t you just..." She bit her lips to stop herself from shouting at him. "You do not want kids. But... If I die, won’t you be pleased to have a little part of me around to remember me by? We can at least try surrogacy. Let’s see if I have any viable eggs and~"

"That’s what you do not get, Minnie... I do not want a part of you. I want the whole of you! And I certainly do not want to involve another woman between us," Leander said.

"You don’t have to sleep with another woman. They do the fertilization outside, in the lab. The surrogate mother is going to carry the baby for us and~"

"And the child she carried for nine months will be plucked right from her chest to us... For what?" he asked.

Viviana gulped. He has a point there. It’s cruel in a way. "But she knows it when she signs the agreement..."

"I will not rent a woman’s womb for money," Leander said.

Viviana didn’t know what to say to him when he was this determinant. She scoffed and walked down the hill with a large gait. She needed to take a walk to clear her mind.
