Love is not something to compare. Love is not a competition. Love is a mix of emotions. Everyone expresses love in different ways.

She put herself at risk to save him, twice! Isn’t there a better expression of love than that?

When will she see what she does for what it is?

He found that she is a confident person when she finds the need to be confident. She is brave. Running toward a bullet needs bravery. Cutting off the manhood of a man needs bravery too. She is not a genius. But she is not very dumb either. She knows it when he lies and she is wise to know when she can push back against him and when to keep her thoughts to herself.

She annoys him at times too, but most times, she is plainly adorable.

He slowly let her take the reins of the household management. First, she took control of what used to be his bedroom, then the kitchen, and now she is running their house. She didn’t disappoint him even once. She is not second-guessing; she does not ask for his opinion each time.

She probably doesn’t even realize that she runs the Orchid Gardens now. Or she does. But she still hasn’t realized what it means. He doesn’t care to know what she thinks about that.

All he knows is that it would have driven her thoughts wild if he just handed over the duties to her directly, as she is his wife. But now that he handed it over indirectly, she won’t be thinking much of it.

He wanted her to take care of the duties and she does. He’s happy, she is happy. That is enough.

She is running their house smoothly as when he took care of it. As an added bonus, all of his staff are happy. Happy people tend to be more loyal; he knew. They are very loyal to her.

If she is someone who grew up differently, he would have involved her in his business. She would have been an asset. But sadly, she thinks that he is in the wrong business.

It’s only her issue with confidence. The trick is to let her do stuff without "giving" it to her. She does not like to be given responsibilities. But she’ll do what needs to be done. She likes it when she is needed. Then she takes control and does a spectacular job.

She needs to be a little surer of herself. She is his wife. She can’t be wrong, ever. She should know that.

She’s too perfect for him. He can’t believe sometime when he looks at her how he was able to get her. What made him take her back to his bedroom that day? What if he let her jump that day?

He would have missed such a perfect wife!

"Let’s do something about that," Leander mumbled under his breath.

Viviana bit her lips. He looked serious when he said that. But she rarely takes anything he says seriously when it comes to this.

She doubted how deep her love is and he probably was talking about trying to show her that her love is as deep as she lets him inside her, or something to that effect.

He only thinks about "that".

She was thinking about "that" too.

5th of January—the day they confessed to each other first. He confessed so beautifully. They need to seal their confession. Plus, he teased her so much she won’t be relieved until she has him inside her.

But she wanted to cook first. It’s been a while since she cooked.

They went back to the villa they were staying at. Leander said that the villa belonged to a friend. She cooked for him that night and happily watched him savoring her cooking.

Leander was in the bathroom and she kept herself awake walking to and fro in the bedroom. She also wondered if she will get any more presents alone with the vacation for her birthday.

She got tired of walking and so she sat on the bed. When Leander came out of the bathroom, she ran to him and jumped on him.

"What?" Leander chuckled. Wrapping his arms around her waist he lifted her up to his level.

"I won’t faint now. So... say it again," she said clinging on to his shoulder.

"Should I?" Leander walked to the bed. "What do I get in return?" he asked.

Viviana bit her lips. "Anything you want," she said in a husky tone.

"I like that deal..."

Leander took her to bed. For a long time, until she pleaded to leave her be, he told her that he loved her. In exchange, he took her to his heart’s pleasure.

"I love you so much, Leander..."

Viviana said curling up in his arms after she was totally spent. She was so tired and fell asleep in his arms without any worry.

Leander checked the time. It was quarter to one. It was already her birthday and he tried to wake her up poking her cheeks. But she was not waking up.

"Sorry," he kissed her cheek. He should have given her the gift at midnight just like she did. But they were doing other fun things.

"I’ll give you my gift in the morning after you wake up..."

Viviana woke up and out of habit rolled to his side of the bed. But she was in for a rude awakening as something pricked her.

"Oww...."

She moaned and opened her eyes to a rose on the bed. Her lips curved up.

"It’s my birthday!"

She screamed and jumped from the bed and ran to the terrace. She almost forgot it.

"Thank you for the single red rose!"

She jumped on Leander who was doing pushups on the terrace in the morning sun.

"I accidentally squished it. But... see how pretty it is. This is the first rose I’ve ever received!" she kissed his neck, unable to reach his lips. "I’m going to save it," she jumped down from him and ran back inside.

Leander with a smile stood up and followed her inside. It’s rare to see her in such high spirits. She looks beaming with such joy on her face.
