Chapter 228: The Lemonade Song
Chapter 228: The Lemonade Song
After calling the first dibs to name the puppies, Viviana decided to get home. Mary pointed at Viviana’s clothes with a shocked face.
Viviana looked at her soiled clothes. She was scared to enter the house. Leander will figure out that she was rolling on the ground. He will ask why.
And then...
She didn’t want to lose Juno and the puppies. She got wipes from Mary and cleaned herself up to the best she can before entering the house.
Only after entering the living room did, she remember that Lionel Waldorf was in the room with Gabriella. Leander was not in the living room and she asked Martha to give a gist.
Martha told her that the Waldorf heir was not inside the room even for ten minutes and then he left. She also said that Leander looked for her.
Viviana went to the guest room to check on Gabriella. She was sleeping deeply. She looked like she was crying.
Not wanting to disturb Gabriella, she walked upstairs. She needed a shower.
When she entered the bedroom, Leander was leaning on the bed leisurely. Seeing her, he turned to face the other side. He looked like he was pouting.
What’s wrong with him?
Viviana would have run to him first thing if she was not stinking. She decided to handle the pouting lion after her shower.
Leander glared at the petite figure disappearing inside the closet. Here he is getting ignored again by his dear wife. He decided to not talk to her for the rest of the day and ignore her just like she is ignoring him.
How can she be this heartless and ignore her only husband when he is staying home for her?
His phone rang, pulling him out of his getting disappointed in his wife. It was Peter Kastello.
"Grandpa," Leander answered his call.
He expected his call. He knew his grandfather would call him for Evander’s sake. Otherwise, of what happened in Rose Gardens earlier, his grandfather wouldn’t have talked to him for ages.
"Nadia is missing," Peter said with the authoritative tone of a superior.
Leander wondered if he should plainly tell him the truth or if he should lie to pass time.
"It’s Leonardo Vitale," Leander opted to say the truth after some deliberation. He didn’t care what his grandfather is going to think.
Peter harrumphed at the other end. Leander waited to see what his grandfather is going to say. When his wife got hurt because of Leonardo, it was just a "scratch" and needed no retaliation. So, what happens when Evander’s fiancée gets kidnapped by the same man?
"Leonardo Vitale is in Sirona Isles," Leander added as his grandfather said nothing. "I heard Evander is going there?" Leander added.
"Are you insinuating that Evander is meeting with the Vitale heir?" Peter shouted.
Leander went silent. Is it not the case? He never thought that his grandfather is someone who raised his voice to hide his guilt. But what does he know?
"I’m transferring Evander there because there is a better hospital in Sirona Isles," Peter’s voice softened considerably. "Thanks to my daughter-in-law’s strong hands, my eldest grandson is suffering. I need to transfer him there if I have to see him alive... I hope I don’t have to worry about the Vitale heir..."
Peter sounded so despaired. It hurt Leander. He thought that his grandfather is the only person who didn’t treat him differently. But it is getting more and more obvious.
The excuses his grandfather comes up with to give in to the wishes of Evander... He knew his grandfather stopped him from retaliation because he needed Evander’s meeting with Leonardo to go well.
But what do they want?
Leander could not figure out why Leonardo got the Donatello brat. Was it to force Evander’s hand to do something against Minerva?
"Be the sugar for my lemonade, sugar..."
Leander’s lips curved up hearing his wife singing in the closet. He ended the call not minding what his grandfather was saying and walked to the closet.
With only a towel around her that barely covered her derriere, she was shaking her hips to the tune of the song. His eyes ended up on the scar on her left arm.
"Your honey is here," he hugged her from behind.
Viviana jumped as he bit her earlobe.
"Wait... I’ll get dressed first," Viviana tried to get out of his hold.
"My little dumb wife..." Leander hissed in her ear as his hand reached for the towel. "I don’t want you dressed!"
Leander threw the towel on the floor and carried her to the bed. He is free the rest of the day and he wanted to enjoy it with his wife. She should pay back all the attention for ignoring him for this long.
"No!" Viviana flailed her limbs to get out of his hold. "Not now... The sun’s still up..." she tried to reason with him.
"Shut up," Leander kissed her to shut her up. "You were singing the lemonade song. I know what that means," he said.
"At least darken the window," Viviana buried her head in his neck. She was bare-naked in the afternoon. And her husband wants "that" in the noon!
She knew it was no use fighting him when he gets in the mood. She will have to give in. He found new meaning to the silly song she sang. He must desperately want it. To be honest, she didn’t mind it much too. Just touching his firm chest is enough these days for her to get in the mood.
"Done!"
Leander threw her on the bed. She wiggled her way under the duvet. She was not that confident enough to let him see her in bright sunlight.
Leander pulled the duvet with one hand while getting undressed.
"Can’t you leave me with some dignity?" she pouted holding on to the duvet. She couldn’t manage to hold the duvet although he was pulling it with just one hand.
"Dignity?" Leander raised his brows with an amused smile. "Why do you need dignity in front of me? You’re my wife."
He then pulled the duvet with both of his hands and the duvet slipped from her hand to end up on the floor with his shirt.
Viviana covered her chest instinctively as Leander, with a lopsided smile, focused on her chest.
"Let me see them," he said, his lips getting to stiffen to a straight line.
Viviana shook her head. He was not angry. But as he opened the zipper, she could see that he was already stiff down there. He looked maddeningly handsome with his lips pressed.
"Show me..."
His devilishly handsome charm multiplied as he hissed unzipping his trouser.
Viviana shook her head. She didn’t know where the shyness came from. It’s not like he has not seen every inch of her. But when he looks at her like that and asks her to show him... It’s different.
"Why?" she whispered.
"They are so pretty... Like lemons..." he pressed his lips and with his head slightly tilted ran his finger through his lips. "Melons...They are big and round and melon-y..."
Melanie...
That name made his heart akip a beat. He’s been hearing that name in his dreams a lot lately.
Melanie... Melanie... Melanie...
That name that was said with so much love and excitement--the voice of a child would echo in the caves along with the sound of the crashing waves.
Why he hears the name of a girl who died, he didn’t know.
Leander pulled her by the leg.
"Jerk!" Viviana screamed as she was dragged onto the bed.
Before she knew it, she was lying on her back with her hands pinned up above her head. He was on top of her and before she could do anything, he buried his face in her cleavage.
"My sweet melons..." he hissed as he kissed her peaks.
"No," she tried to struggle out. Not that she didn’t like his touches, but she was embarrassed to be manhandled by him.
Leander pulled out his phone from his trouser pocket. Viviana thought he would throw it to the side as he would at times like these. But he answered the call.
"Let go of my hands, please," she whispered.
He smirked looking at her. His hold didn’t loosen.
"I am wrestling," Leander answered the call.
Viviana’s heart started to beat in her throat. What is he saying? She felt like someone else was in the room watching them. But Leander was not worrying.
Exhaling a warm breath on her neck, he supported his weight on her.
"Who else? I’m wrestling with my wife..." Leander’s lips curved to a smirk, and he nibbled on her neck.
Who is he talking to? Viviana almost got a heart attack.
Leander buried his head in her cleavage.
"Is this the time to play games, Leander?"
Barnabas asked. It was obvious that he was controlling his anger.
"Yeah, why not? It’s my bed and my wife. I’ll play any game I want."
Barnabas sucked in a deep breath. "Hosea Donatello wants his daughter. They are projecting him to win and we will need his support," Barnabas said.
"So?" Leander’s voice was so calm.
That brat joined hands with Evander and did such a despicable thing to his wife. And now her father has the nerve to ask anything of him?"
"I’ll do what I can," Leander said and ended the conversation.
He will take his time.
