Chapter 220: Leo

Gabriella peeked inside Leander’s room to see if Viviana had woken up. When she saw Leander carrying Viviana in his arms limp, her heart almost stopped.

The entire orchid garden went into a frenzy. Gabriella saw the kitchen maids sobbing as Leander walked up the stairs. Leander had to roar at them that this was not a funeral house for them to stifle their cries and went into hiding inside the kitchen.

Katerina went into full panic mode. She called for the doctor although she had no idea what had happened. The entire house went dead silent as if a storm was approaching.

Gabriella didn’t know if she could go upstairs. No one in the house dared to. Katerina was looking at the door for the doctor.

No one stopped her and she went upstairs. She wanted to know what happened to her friend. Although she didn’t think that Leander would have allowed any harm to befall her, she was scared if Leander didn’t stop Evander.

She also had blind courage. What’s the worst Leander would do? He might shout at her, or he might kill her. She was not afraid of both.

The bedroom door was open, and she covered herself as much as possible from his view.

"Don’t cry, Lemon..."

She heard him whisper. She’s never heard a man with that much tremble in his voice when he is sober.

"I’m here, waiting... Come back to me soon..." he added caressing her hair with his bloody fingers. "Idiot... f*cking idiot...What can I do with you?"

Gabriella saw him kissing her forehead. He looked despondent but at the same time, he was calm. She figured that she might not be hurt very badly if he was this calm. She couldn’t even see anything but Viviana’s head from where she was standing.

She wouldn’t lie. She felt a little jealous seeing Leander like that. She was jealous of Viviana. She has found love. Leander loves her.

But she took in a deep breath and shook her head. What’s the point of getting jealous? Viviana kept her virtue until she married Leander. And Leander could fall for her because she was suitable for him.

Good for them!

Gabriella turned to leave. She saw Katerina standing by the stairs with a confused smile. Everyone in this house greets her with that confused smile. She is Leander’s guest, but he screamed at her in front of others. But Viviana treats her as a friend.

That would confuse the ones working for Leander.

"Inform me after she wakes up, please," Gabriella whispered to Katerina and got down the stairs. She was uncertain, but she was not worrying. So, she decided to wait until she gets the news. But she was hopeful.

-----

After a while of being in a suspended state in peaceful darkness, Viviana heard noises around her. She heard Juno’s barks in the distance and the clattering of a water basin. She knew this time she was hearing it for real.

She was warm and cozy. Slowly she could see the light around her although her eyes were closed.

She slowly opened her eyes. Although the lights were dimmed, she still couldn’t open her eyes immediately. But she tried her best. Her memories slowly came back.

She wanted to look at Leander. She remembered she couldn’t look at him before.

She felt his big hand covering her hand. Her lips curved into a smile. Her eyes still haven’t gotten adjusted to the light yet, but she was happy knowing he was by her side.

"Le.." she tried to speak but her throat was dry. And she realized that her husband’s name is three syllables long. She didn’t want to waste her energy. "Leo..."

"Minnie?" Leander leaned to her face and caressed her hair. "How are you feeling?"

"Hmm..." Viviana blinked her eyes. She looked around. She was not in a hospital. She was a bit stunned.

She thought she was dying. Why is she in Leander’s bedroom?

But then she remembered that she was dying back then too but Leander treated her in his bedroom.

"I almost died. What do you think?" she tried to pat his head but found that her left arm was hurting a lot.

Leander didn’t say anything, and her vision cleared. She looked at him with annoyance apparent on his face.

"Dying? You barely have a scratch on your arm. And you..." He pressed his lips and then looked away with a sigh.

"Really?" Viviana was shocked. She turned to the side to have a look at her "wound". It was bandaged and by how small it was she could see that it was truly not a very big wound.

The bullet probably only grazed her. How good a shot was that guy?

She remembered that Leander fell down pulling her and that might have played a part in her getting a less severe wound. Because by how she predicted her trajectory would be, those bullets should have hit her head.

And after analyzing the wound, slowly the truth got settled in her brain. She fainted for a scratch! How embarrassing!

She wanted to bury her head in shame somewhere.

She tried to turn but she couldn’t. Her left arm did hurt a lot. She is very sensitive to pain.

"Why did you shout like I was dead? You scared me to death," she complained.

Of course, her first reaction to her shame was to blame him. It did hurt a lot. But his reaction probably made her faint thinking that she was seriously hurt.

Leander looked at her. He didn’t say anything, but he kept on looking at her. It was obvious that he was in deep thoughts, but she couldn’t figure out what he was thinking about.

"Does it hurt?" he asked climbing on top of her.

"It hurts... A lot..." She pouted.

"It was a big wound. I lied... It must hurt a lot..." he kissed her forehead while caressing her hair.

"It does... Pain... lot of pain..." she whispered.

He breathed over her mouth as he spread her legs. "Hmm... pain..." he kissed her lips as he pulled her skirt up.

"So much pain..." Viviana whispered as his hand reached for her underwear.

Leander’s breathing got heavy as he unzipped his trouser. "You called me Leo," he said.

Viviana wetted her lips. Her chest was heaving as she got short of breath just with his presence. She could smell his sweet fragrance; the scent that envelopes her protectively.

She tried to avert her eyes, but his eyes had the pull to keep her focused on them. She knew that he wanted her to call him Leo and she refused earlier.

But in the parking lot, when his life was in danger, she didn’t know why she called him that. It was the same as that time on the rooftop.

It is weird.

"I did," she said.

She tried to lift her right hand to hold him, but he interlocked his fingers with her fingers pressing her hand to the pillow. Her other hand was pretty much useless.

She saw a slight smirk on his face. For some reason it made her heart pound.

"Leo has less syllables..." she tried to give him an excuse.

Leander laughed as if he expected her to say excuses. But his eyes turned serious. "Do not do this again," he said, his voice deep and resonating in her ears.

"Do wha~"

Leander nibbled on her earlobe at the same time his prodding poker slipped inside her. She did not expect him to do that suddenly.

She inhaled sharply as he sunk himself deeper inside her. She squeezed his fingers as her back arched to touch his chest. She was dressed fully, right to her underwear. He was too. And yet, she could feel his heat.

"What?" she asked letting out shallow breaths.

He did not answer her. He peppered kisses on her neck while thrusting inside her. His chest was pressed on hers and he went as deeper as he could making her senses go haywire.

He started moving inside her kissing her face and neck. Viviana could only close her eyes and let him take her. She didn’t know what lying still could be this pleasuring. And without even any foreplay she was wet enough to let him in without any pain. She has turned into a succubus and was succumbing to her carnal desires.

She could smell his breath as he was so close to her face. She moaned in pleasure as she reached peaks. He was not at all gentle with her. He appeared to be asserting his dominance over her by taking her roughly. Or was he apologizing...? She couldn’t say.

And she loved it and let him do what he wanted with her.

When he ended, Viviana let out a deep breath of satisfaction. He lay on top of her breathing heavily in her neck. He was the one who did all the work and somehow, she was the one who yawned.

Before she knew it, she was already half-asleep.

"Hey!" Leander poked her cheek.

Viviana smiled. "Do not disturb. I am tired..."

"Tired? What made you tired?" he asked. He stopped poking her cheek though.

She giggled. "I shed a lot of blood in the war today..."

"Hmm... A war hero, truly," he jibed.

She opened her eyes with difficulty. "What should I call you if you call me "lemon"?" she asked. "Orange, perhaps?"

Leander squinted his eyes and covered her eyes. He looked embarrassed.

"Go to sleep...Sour Lemon," he smiled.
