Leander walked in without a falter in his steps. Steve knew that he is not used to the place and walked to the front. In just a moment, the concierge of the place ran to them.

Leander looked at him and he was hesitating to bring Leander to Brie’s room. He’ must have already briefed about his visit and he should be leading him to the room.

"Where’s your boss?" Leander asked knowing that Evander must have called.

The concierge cleared his throat. "You can take the VIP elevator, Sir," he said with his professional smile.

Leander looked behind him and saw the boss of Venus Point—the proxy of the Kastello family standing at the reception. Looking at Leander, he bowed his head. His phone was still in his hand and he looked to be in a dilemma.

But he chose to side with him.

He must know who’s the boss. Evander has gone down the rankings of the Kastello family. So, unless his grandfather opposes, no one will stop him from walking into any business his family owns.

He’s the heir!

Finally, it settled in Leander’s brain. He’s the heir. After his grandfather, everything will come under his control. That means, he can run them all as he wishes.

"Does she know?" Leander asked the concierge.

"No, Sir." The Concierge said.

Leander looked at the guy to see if he says anything more. But he didn’t. He liked the guy. He knows when to get involved and when not to. Maybe that’s why he’s held this position for this long.

They opened the door and Leander entered with a large gait. The concierge closed the door behind him but Leander stopped him.

It didn’t feel right to be in a closed room with another woman even if it was his old friend.

Steve stood by the door and the concierge retreated with his head bowed.

He walked in the small hallway that led to her private space. Without knowing his heart started to pound. He hasn’t seen her in almost sixteen years. That’s a long time. He didn’t know if he would recognize her.

He took a deep breath. He was not there to reminisce about the past. He’s here to keep her away from Lionel.

The entire area had a lot of purples. The paint was purple and the curtains hanging at the end of the hallway were purple too. Purple used to her favorite color.

Maybe she hasn’t changed much.

Come to think of it, what is Mousy’s favorite color? Does she even have any favorites except seafood?

He made a mental note to ask her once he gets home. It would be tough to get her to say anything, but he should try. His lips curved to a smile remembering her moans that were still echoing in his ears. Rubbing his lips, he looked at the floor as he remembered her pouty face when he mentioned this place.

His gratifying thoughts were interrupted by a deep, erotic voice.

"Welcome to my garden, handsome~"

Leander looked up and the smile behind his fingers immediately vanished seeing the almost naked woman in front of him. Gabriella too was surprised to see him there. The little towel she was covering herself with fell to the floor.

"Leo?" she spoke, her high-pitched voice shaking. "You’re..." she looked behind him.

Leander saw her eyes watering. Clearing his throat, he walked to his right where there was a living area with a couch and coffee table. He was about to sit but he saw the pot of purple orchid flower on her table.

He named his house "Orchid Gardens". She calls her room a "garden" and has an orchid as the centerpiece of her living area.

He rubbed his forehead. She didn’t keep her feelings for him a secret. He knew it, and he never accepted it as he knew Lionel’s feelings. And yet she...

He wondered if this is the reason Lionel goes out of his way to get her out of here to a hotel room of his preference.

How pathetic are you, Lionel?

"Don’t you want to close the door?" Gabriella’s voice didn’t have the surprise she had earlier and had retorted to that low, erotic voice of hers. Leander’s shoulder went stiff as she placed his hand on his shoulder. "Feeling a bit daring, huh? Le~"

Before she finished, Leander turned and grabbed her throat. Squeezing it he threw her on the wall. There is no way she didn’t know Lionel’s true feelings. And yet, she exploited him for years. She didn’t let him move on either. If she refused to see him after she signed the contract, he probably would have moved on by now.

And yet she... She even dared to stand naked in front of him knowing he is married.

She coughed as she lost air in her lungs. "Leo..." She clutched his hand out of reflex to get out of his hold but he wasn’t loosening his hold.

His eyes ended up on her hands and he noticed that she was wearing a robe. He came out of his trance. Tears were gathering at the corners of her eyes. He wanted to kill her but he can’t. For one, she was one of his best friends in the past and that makes her his family. And secondly, Lionel won’t forgive him if he kills her.

He let go of her.

Brie coughed and composed herself. "F*ck," she mumbled. "You could have said that you’re not interested..."

"You’re relieved of your contract from today on," Leander said fixing his suit.

He was that provoked by her voice. He did not like her talking to him in "that" tone as if he’s here to...Yuck!

Brie laughed. But the mirth didn’t reach her eyes. "If only I knew earlier all I have to do to get your audience was to break his heart..." she scoffed wryly.

Leander clenched his jaws. He was getting angry again. He didn’t think that he could hold back from killing her.

She is taking Lionel’s feelings so lightly!

"You’re free from today. I give you a three days head start. The day I know your whereabouts is the day you die." Leander said and turned to leave.

"Fine. But I want to meet your wife before I leave."

Leander turned swiftly pulling his gun out of the holster. His angry eyes looked at her with a smirk as he pointed the gun at her face with the safety off. He meant business. If she speaks one more word, he will put a bullet in her head.

What’s with everyone wanting his wife? Can’t they leave him alone?
