Leander got down from the bed and walked away. Viviana stared at him walking into the closet. She could only sigh. She knew he wouldn’t understand. He probably is angry that she mentioned his brother’s deed again.

It’s not his problem. It’s her problem. She knows that she is not fine. She has a lot of issues that she has to deal with. If she consults a psychiatrist, they will probably list at least a hundred things wrong with her.

This is who she is! And that’s why she tried to keep everyone away from her. No one has the obligation to "help" her when even she does not want to help herself.

And what is the purpose of her trying to help herself? To be happy? But her life is filled with pain whether she is happy or not. Her body won’t let her be happy. She will never have a family and her luck won’t allow anyone with her. Anyone who loves her will end up with a terrible fate. She is a jinx. It would be better if she stays alone.

Even if it is Leander Kastello, he doesn’t deserve to get trapped in her jinx. He’s a wise guy to walk out. She’s not worth the trouble. His grandfather will ask him to kill her soon. He’ll kill her and then he’ll marry someone else who suits his status. And he can sleep with her to his heart’s content.

At least, that woman will be able to give him a family!

She got down from the bed and fixed her clothes and hair. She waited for him to come out. She was hungry.

Leander got dressed. He didn’t know there were so many nuances in marital intimacy. The men he knew made it appear it was easy to get into bed with their wives. He didn’t even know consent would be a thing even between married couples. But she thinks so. So, it might be true.

What would he know about marriage? He never saw a healthy marriage in his life. His father died when he was fifteen and he didn’t remember his parents doing anything together. He didn’t even remember them talking even when they were sitting at the table. But she came from a loving family. Her parents were together for a long time, and she would have a better understanding of married life than him.

But does she know better?

She thinks that he is experienced and that’s why he could get it on easily. But the opposite is true. She is inexperienced and that’s why she didn’t figure it out.

His lips curved into a smile. Both of them are inexperienced.

But that smile didn’t last long. She is so scarred and traumatized. He wouldn’t understand what that trauma did to her. But as someone who is still scared of fire, he believed her.

And she did make it clear. It’s not that she doesn’t want to do it with him or that she is not attracted to him. She cannot turn it on and off just as quickly as him. She is curious about his body and that’s why she stares. If she checks him out that doesn’t necessarily mean that she is inviting him.

He couldn’t understand it though. He gets turned on just by a glance at her cleavage or even thinking about those beautiful vertical lips. But she does not get turned on looking at his manhood. And he does not have a bad body for a man. He has those eight pack abs that even men envy. How can it not tighten her abdomen like her curves tighten his abdomen? He was a little offended.

Consent, kiss, foreplay, feelings... She wants to be romanced before bedded. But he just wants to put it in and rock her.

Guess men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Ah, that woman is probably from another galaxy!

It’s a lot of work, isn’t it? Romancing...

But what other choice does he have? He cannot force her. She probably will clutch the pillow and let him have his way. But he won’t be able to live with that.

Maybe he should ask Steve even if it would be awkward. That guy is married for a long time, and he doesn’t have any mistresses. He doesn’t pay for sex either to his knowledge. He should be getting home meals all his life. So, he should know some ways to keep his wife happy and get "it" from her.

Leander came out to see her investigating her fingers. That pretty little head works non-stop trying to find reasons to be unhappy.

"Come on. I’m hungry," he called her and walked out of the room.

He decided to eat downstairs at the dining room to get her used to walk around the house. Maybe they can have breakfast in their room and have other meals at the dining table.

Deals... She cannot make deals with him! As if he’s that stupid!

She followed him like an obedient puppy. When he sat at the table, Katerina served his lunch. Viviana waddled to the kitchen and brought out a bowl for herself.

"What’s that?" he asked. "I’m having steak. Why are you having bread?"

"Brodetto," Viviana answered. "I cooked for myself."

"You cooked~" Leander couldn’t even get his next word out as he was stunned.

She’s gone to the extent of cooking separately? Why? Why didn’t she bother to cook for him?

Viviana didn’t understand him. If she wanted to guess his expression, he looked hurt. But she was not meaning to hurt him in any way. So, she might be missing something?
