Chi Yue’s hand turned a corner to tidy the pillow.

Fu Rongyin had already come in front of her and picked up the phone, "What’s up?"

Chi Yue didn’t know what Chu Shuo had said, but she felt Fu Rongyin’s gaze upon her, and she lowered her eyes, cursing Chu Shuo in her heart.

"Got it."

Fu Rongyin said just these three words, then hung up the phone.

Chi Yue fiddled with the pillow for a quite a while and heard no movement from him, so she couldn’t help but look his way, unexpectedly meeting his gaze head-on.

Chi Yue subconsciously moved away and went to the bathroom.

After closing the door, her heart finally calmed down.

But soon she had a new problem: she had no clothes.

Chi Yue’s breath hitched and she turned to switch on the bedside lamp.

The dim light softened the complexions of the two facing each other.

But Chi Yue’s heart wouldn’t soften at all.

"I never thought you were such an irresponsible man, you don’t deserve to be Mianmian’s father! She’s already motherless, and now you’re going to leave her fatherless too!"

Fu Rongyin’s eyebrows twitched slightly, "Who told you she’s motherless?"
