Chi Yue listened to the water running in the bathroom and felt panicked inside.

She hadn’t forgotten his illness; he was like this now, how could he still pretend as if everything was normal and have his way with her?

Since the last discharge from the hospital, she hadn’t heard any more news about his condition. Thinking this over, she sent a message to Chu Shuo.

Chu Shuo’s response came quickly: [What’s up, he didn’t tell you?]

Chi Yue: [If I knew I wouldn’t be asking you.]

Chu Shuo: [Embarrassed to ask him directly? Okay, I’ll help you.]
