Entangled with My Ex's Uncle
Chapter 351: So it was her doing!

Chapter 351: Chapter 351: So it was her doing!

Chi Yue’s scalp tingled, her figure swayed slightly.

What Fu Hanyan meant was...

Xu Zhenwen’s voice followed right after, "So what if I did? This time, I hypnotized both of you. I want to see if you can still be together!"

"Then why didn’t you take my brother for hypnosis? Is it because you can’t afford to lose the bet? You think just because Chi Yue forgets everything, my brother will too? Impossible. How could my brother forget the person he once deeply loved? Even if you hypnotized him, he would never forget Chi Yue."

"Fu Hanyan, you’ve gone too far! Don’t think that because you’re mentally ill you can talk to me like that, I have my ways of dealing with you."

Fu Hanyan chuckled gently, eerily calm by comparison, "Apart from dealing with us, what else can you do? You’ve never treated us as human beings, only as tools!"

"You... you..."

Xu Zhenwen hadn’t finished speaking when medical staff burst through the door, because just a moment ago, Fu Hanyan had pushed the bell while Xu Zhenwen wasn’t paying attention.

Walking on the street, Chi Yue was at a loss as to where to go.

She could never have imagined that it was Xu Zhenwen who had hypnotized her.

Just to break her up with Fu Rongyin, was that why she had targeted her?

But what right did she have to do this?

She walked down the street for a long time; then a car stopped in front of her. Fu Rongyin got out, his face stern.

There were bodyguards at the hospital door when Chi Yue was there.

What she had heard, the bodyguards must have heard too, so Fu Rongyin appearing was because he knew she now knew the truth.

Chi Yue stopped to look at him, "You knew the truth all along, didn’t you?"

Fu Rongyin extended his arms and pulled her into his embrace, "Let’s go home to talk about it."

Chi Yue didn’t move, "Are you going to cover for her?"

Fu Rongyin sighed, "I’m not, but it’s not suitable for us to talk about this here."

"Fu Rongyin, when did you find out?"

Fu Rongyin didn’t answer; he suddenly bent over, picked her up, and put her in the car.

The driver didn’t give Chi Yue a chance to react and drove off as he hit the gas pedal.

There were others in the car, so Chi Yue didn’t say anything.

When they arrived at No.1 Bay, Chi Yue had calmed down.

Fu Rongyin had not been on good terms with Xu Zhenwen over the years; perhaps this was part of the reason, but what she couldn’t understand was, after all these years, knowing that she had been forced to forget him, why hadn’t he taken the initiative to find her?

As she pondered, she heard Fu Rongyin say, "I’ll explain this to you once you remember."

"Why?" Her apricot eyes were clear, not really asking for his reasons.

Yet Fu Rongyin said, "Chi Yue, the hypnosis she performed had your consent."

"Impossible!" Chi Yue instinctively denied, "How could I possibly agree to a stranger altering my memories?"

"That’s why I said, we’ll discuss this issue once you remember everything," he countered.

Chi Yue looked at him, "You always say that I wronged you, that I tricked you, making me out to be a heartbreaker. Then tell me, why would I agree to your mother, to be hypnotized and not remember you? If I didn’t love you anymore, wouldn’t it have been enough for us to just break up?"

Fu Rongyin’s lips tightened slightly, his eyes filled with a complex expression, "I, too, hope you can give me an explanation. Why you didn’t break up with me, but instead chose to cruelly forget me, then got together with my nephew, unwilling to even glance at me."

"Don’t twist the truth. I didn’t forget you just to be with Fu Rao. I was reluctant to look at you because your reputation was such, what normal woman would want to get close to you?"

Fu Rongyin narrowed his eyes dangerously, "How was my reputation, wasn’t it all spread by you? Choosing to forget me, and before you did, ruining my reputation so no other woman would get close to me. Chi Yue, you really are heartless."

In a flash, she distinctly saw disappointment and desolation sweep across the depths of his eyes.

Somehow, tears suddenly fell from Chi Yue’s eyes.

"You keep saying I hate you, that I schemed against you, then show some evidence! Why would I do such a thing? Have I gone mad?"

"Yes, you’ve gone mad. You left without a word, leaving me alone in the abyss. How would you know how many days and nights it took me to climb out? Yet you, you fall in love, living every day carefree. How is that fair to me?"

His tone grew colder and colder, until in the end, he looked at Chi Yue with indifference as if she were a stranger.
