"Yueyue, are you okay?" Nan Bingyu held her hand, noting it was colder than usual and thought it was because of what Hong Yize had said.

She glared at Hong Yize furiously, "What do you know that you speak so recklessly! Keep talking nonsense, see if I don’t sue you!"

Hong Yize wasn’t scared, "Go ahead and sue, let the police check and see if I’m lying. Humph, thinking you’re so important. Without Fu Rongyin, you were even kicked out of your house. If it weren’t for your pretty face, do you think anyone would care about you?"

Chi Yue grabbed a wine glass from the table and splashed it in his face, causing everyone to scream in shock.

"I..." Nan Bingyu’s face crumpled, "I only knew that you and Fu Rongyin were close in high school. I only found out about you two being together after my brother got drunk. As for what Hong Yize said about university, I didn’t know."

She didn’t go to the same university as Chi Yue and hadn’t inquired about Fu Rongyin, so she really didn’t know.

Chi Yue took a deep breath, "It’s okay, I was just asking. Please take me home."

"Are you really okay?" Nan Bingyu asked, concerned.

"Yeah, I just want some time alone."

Nan Bingyu drove Chi Yue back to her apartment. After hesitating downstairs for a long time, she called Nan Yuan and told him everything that happened at the dinner.

Expecting him to come over to help, she was surprised that his response was just like Chi Yue’s, "Let her be alone for a while."
