Entangled with My Ex's Uncle -
Chapter 103 Fight
Chapter 103: Chapter 103 Fight
"What does that have to do with me?" Chi Yue didn’t understand.
"Didn’t you reject Nan Yuan at that time? It seemed their fallout happened around those days."
Chi Yue’s expression was hard to describe, "The causality you’re implying is too far-fetched."
Chu Shuo wanted to say something more when Fu Rongyin finished his phone call and walked in from the balcony, naturally wrapping his arms around Chi Yue’s waist.
"Hungry? I’ll take you out to eat something."
Chi Yue, thinking he was looking for an excuse to leave, agreed.
Chu Shuo watched their intimate demeanor, subtly shifting his gaze away.
He had a fondness for Chi Yue. If the Chi Family hadn’t undergone such changes, it’s very likely he would have married Chi Yue by now.
Regretfully, reality was too cruel.
After Fu Rongyin and Chi Yue had dinner and were on their way home, Fu Rongyin suddenly furrowed his brows.
Chi Yue asked, "What’s wrong?"
Fu Rongyin glanced at the rearview mirror, "Brace yourself."
The car abruptly accelerated, and Chi Yue instinctively tightened her seatbelt, looking at the rearview mirror.
After several lane changes, Chi Yue finally noticed a car following theirs.
Chi Yue alarmed, "Fu Rongyin, the car behind us seems to be... Nan Yuan’s."
Fu Rongyin didn’t say a word and accelerated again.
Chi Yue’s heart raced, watching as the car sped up faster and faster, she simply closed her eyes.
Fu Rongyin was an amateur racer, so accidents were unlikely, but it was definitely a matter of heart concern.
After numerous lane changes and turns, the car finally stopped.
Chi Yue heard the sound of closing the car door, and suddenly opened her eyes, only to see that Nan Yuan’s car was parked in front, and Fu Rongyin had already dragged Nan Yuan out of the driver’s seat, fighting each other.
Chi Yue had never seen such a scene before and quickly got out of the car, terrified.
"Stop it, or I’m calling the police!"
The two tall men used all their strength to attack each other, and Chi Yue struggled to find an opportunity to pull them apart.
In the end, she simply stood aside and called the police.
The police station.
Chi Yue sat beside Fu Rongyin, watching Nan Yuan across from her, his face swollen and bruised, and found herself at a loss for words.
When she turned to look at Fu Rongyin’s unscathed face, she felt a tinge of guilt toward Nan Yuan.
Both men looked at each other, ready to go at it again, and Chi Yue carefully hugged Fu Rongyin’s hand.
She didn’t know that her inadvertent action calmed Fu Rongyin’s restless heart and at the same time made Nan Yuan’s gaze grow even more brooding.
After the commotion at the police station, it was deep into the night when they left.
Chi Yue assertively pushed Fu Rongyin into the passenger seat, not letting him drive.
Before getting into the car, she saw Nan Yuan coming out, hesitated for a moment, then approached, "Do you want me to call Xiao Yu to pick you up?"
Nan Yuan looked deeply at her, "I would prefer you take me home."
"You know that’s impossible."
Nan Yuan didn’t say anything further, pulled open the car door, and drove away.
Chi Yue returned to the car, and Fu Rongyin was squinting at her, "Are you very worried about him?"
Chi Yue sighed, "You beat him up like that; I can’t just ignore it."
"But you’re still worried about him."
"Fu Rongyin, he’s my best friend’s brother. No matter how you look at it, it’s only right that I ask after him."
Fu Rongyin’s mouth turned down, and he looked away without speaking.
Chi Yue quickly noticed the injury on Fu Rongyin’s face, and when they passed a pharmacy, she stopped the car and said to Fu Rongyin, "Wait here for me, I’ll be right back."
Fu Rongyin frowned, watching her rush into the drugstore, and soon came out carrying a bag.
