Chapter 69: Chapter 69: You’re not only dirty on the outside, but also on the inside

"Well, what a coincidence, is this Mrs. Coldson?"

"Why? Didn’t you dance the opening dance with Young Master Coldson?"

"Sorry, I forgot, your climber status isn’t recognized by anyone," Young Master Coldson is currently dancing gracefully with his bright moonlight."

It was Melissa Greenwood’s two good friends, Iris White and Wendy Bennett.

From the moment Cooper Coldson took Melissa’s hand, they had been watching Yolanda Greenwood.

They had originally thought that Yolanda would hide away with Old Master Coldson, but to their surprise, this shameless thing dared to show her face.

Yolanda looked at them coldly, "Move aside."

As if they hadn’t heard, the two still stood together blocking the way, provocatively staring at Yolanda.

"Just because you say ’move,’ you move? Do you really think you’re Mrs. Coldson now?"

"If you know what’s good for you, you’ll get a divorce quickly and make way for our Melissa."

"Yolanda, you haven’t climbed into the old man’s bed, have you? Otherwise, why would he protect you so much?"

"Iris White!" Yolanda finally erupted, "I remind you to watch your filthy mouth."

"Filthy?" Iris White stepped forward and shoved Yolanda hard, "Are you as dirty as you? Not just the top, but even dirtier down below."

Yolanda stumbled backward, knocking her lower back against the edge of the washbasin and gasping in pain.

At this time, everyone was watching Cooper Coldson’s opening dance, and no one would come here.

That’s why Iris White and Wendy Bennett were so brazen, wanting to teach Yolanda a lesson.

Yolanda understood she couldn’t escape; to deal with this kind of person, she could only fight tooth for nail.

"Want to fight, huh? It might as well be a fight to the finish!"

Yolanda charged forward and grabbed Iris White’s hair in one swift motion.

"Ah ah ah..." Iris White, after all, was a young lady who had never been taught that the first move in a fight should be to grab the hair.

Her weakness instantly seized, she was not only in pain, but also worried about her hairstyle being ruined.

She struggled with all her limbs, not forgetting to remind her companion, "Wendy Bennett, are you blind? Help me!"

"Alright." Wendy Bennett took off her high heels and hurled them at Yolanda’s head.

The first time, Yolanda dodged, but being outnumbered, she was clearly at a disadvantage and was soon hit by the high heel, leaving her dizzy.

Unintentionally, she let go of Iris White’s hair, and her body slid down along the washbasin.

Iris White and Wendy Bennett both ended up injured, furious beyond tell.

"Yolanda, I will not stop until you’re dead today!" Iris White lifted her foot, aiming to kick Yolanda’s stomach.

"What are you doing?" Suddenly, someone came in.

It was a young woman dressed in a black cocktail dress.

Iris White and Wendy Bennett exchanged glances; they didn’t recognize this woman.

Hesitating for a moment, they still turned and fled in a hurry.

The woman knelt down beside Yolanda and gently shook her, "Hey? Are you alright?"

There was a look of disdain and impatience between her brows, seeing that Yolanda didn’t respond, she increased her efforts, "Wake up!"

Yolanda finally came to.

In her dazed state, she recognized the woman before her: she was Christopher Coldson’s female companion.

"Thank you," Yolanda said with difficulty.

"How are you? Can you stand up?" The woman spoke impatiently, "It was Christopher Coldson who asked me to check on you. If you’re alright, then I’m leaving."

She muttered under her breath, "I finally get a chance to come to such an event; I can’t waste too much time in the bathroom."

Yolanda smiled bitterly in her heart and struggled to stand up, "I’m fine, thank you."

"Then I’m leaving." The woman left without any reluctance.

Yolanda looked at her reflection in the mirror, pitiful and sad.

She touched the spot on her head where Wendy Bennett had hit her, and thankfully, it was only a little blood.

She rinsed off the dirt on her body with clean water and tidied up her hair before she went out.

The more they hoped she would disappear, the less she would comply with their wishes.

"Are you okay?" The voice from outside startled Yolanda Greenwood.

She turned around and, to her surprise, it was Christopher Coldson.

"Why? Uncle, didn’t you go dance with your partner and instead came to see me make a fool of myself?"

Christopher chided with a light tone, "Well, if you can still joke about it, it seems you really are okay."

He walked with his hands behind his back, following Yolanda at a slow pace.

"Uncle, I’m truly fine, go dance with your partner."

"Don’t worry, the only thing these women want is a ticket to this dance event. As for who the partner is, they really don’t care."

Indeed, from a distance, Yolanda saw the woman who had just helped her now wrapped around another man, dancing joyously on the stage.

Yolanda let out a bitter laugh and found a place to sit down.

Unexpectedly, Christopher sat down opposite her.

"Uncle didn’t end up sitting here with me just because he couldn’t find a partner, did he?"

Christopher ordered two glasses of champagne, handing one to Yolanda.

He tilted his head back and took a light sip, "The women here are incredibly boring."

Yolanda was amused again.

She knew Christopher stayed to look after her, probably at Old Master Coldson’s insistence.

But no matter what, with Christopher here, there would be no boring people coming up to bother her.

She was very grateful to him.

So, Yolanda raised her glass to Christopher and also took a light sip.

The night’s banquet was exceedingly dull, with Yolanda and Christopher Coldson being treated as if they were invisible members of the Coldson Family, continuously left out in the corner.

In the center of the event, either Isabella Ross was escorting Melissa Greenwood, or Cooper Coldson was; they were busy socializing all around.

After today, everyone would know that Melissa Greenwood was soon to become Mrs. Coldson.

When the donation event began, Isabella Ross donated a billion in Melissa’s name, further confirming everyone’s suspicions.

"Aren’t you going to donate something?" Christopher teased, "In Cooper’s name, donate two billion and give your sister-in-law a shock."

Yolanda smiled and shook her head, what was the point of such futile struggles?

"I’ll donate five billion." A voice caught everyone’s attention.

It was Old Master Coldson.

He motioned from afar to Yolanda, "Granddaughter-in-law, come here."

Yolanda hesitated for a moment but felt Christopher pushing her from behind.

"Go on, don’t let five billion go to waste."

Yolanda had no choice but to step forward, pushing the old man’s wheelchair.

"Yolanda, it’s been a year since you joined our Coldson Family, we haven’t treated her well. Today, I will donate five billion in her name."

Old Master Coldson looked at Cooper, "Family Head, you have no objections, right?"

"Grandfather!" Cooper sighed softly, "As you wish!"

Old Master Coldson then turned his gaze to Isabella Ross, "Isabella, as a retired old man, I can still make decisions about five billion, right?"

"Dad, what are you saying? It’s not just five billion, but fifty billion, or five hundred billion... Without you, there would be no Coldson Group today."

Isabella Ross never imagined Old Master Coldson would go this far for Yolanda.

But the more he did, the more she was determined that Yolanda had to leave.

However, just at that moment, an abrupt voice sounded in the crowd.

"I disagree!"
