Chapter 475 You Suspect My Feelings for Yolanda
Chapter 475: Chapter 475 You Suspect My Feelings for Yolanda
"What nonsense are you talking?" Lola Gold helplessly glared at Adam Sterling.
Noah Coldson ignored it, walked to the window, and indeed saw Cooper Coldson’s car parked downstairs. He thought for a moment and said, "I’ll go down for a bit."
He quickly went downstairs, walked to the car window, and knocked, but there was no response from inside.
Could it be that Cooper isn’t in the car?
Noah looked around suspiciously but didn’t see Cooper nearby, so he knocked on the window again, "Cooper? Are you there?"
Still no response.
Turning to leave, he suddenly heard the sound of the window rolling down. Looking back, he saw his brother with red eyes, looking like he was in unbearable pain.
"Cooper, what’s wrong?" Noah worriedly stepped forward, reminding him of when Yolanda Greenwood faked her death by jumping into the sea, and Cooper looked just as miserable.
"Cooper, get out of the car!" He knew that if Cooper drove back in this state, something would definitely happen.
"Bro, I’m fine." Cooper sniffed, started the car, and said absent-mindedly, "Bro, I’m going back."
"Cooper!" Noah quickly grabbed the edge of the car window and swiftly pulled out the car keys, "You can’t drive right now."
Cooper said flatly, "I’m okay, bro, I’m really fine."
"You sit here honestly, I’ll call Assistant Reyes now." Noah was very worried, but since he couldn’t leave at the moment, he could only call Richard Reyes to come over.
Half an hour later, Richard Reyes arrived.
Noah handed the car keys to Richard and gave a few instructions before turning to leave.
"Bro!" Cooper called from behind. He was much calmer now, "Why... did you come back?"
Though he didn’t ask, Noah could guess what was troubling his brother, so he thought for a moment and said, "We decided to tell Yolanda the truth, to tell her that she was never married to Adam Sterling."
Cooper’s expression changed, and his heart, which had just calmed, suddenly reignited. He couldn’t help but tremble as he asked, "Bro, what will Yolanda choose?"
Noah hesitated for a moment, turned back to face Cooper, "Cooper, you should understand, Yolanda is currently most concerned about Ella and Ann. You have Ann, Adam has Ella, so in the end, how Yolanda will choose... No one can tell for sure, don’t get your hopes up too high."
He patted Cooper’s shoulder firmly and instructed Richard Reyes, "Make sure he gets home safely."
"Understood." Richard nodded.
Noah went back upstairs, and Yolanda Greenwood had already changed clothes and came out. The three of them sat in the living room, obviously waiting for him.
Adam Sterling crossed his arms and asked with a smile, "Cooper left?"
"Yeah." Noah glanced at Yolanda, and sat down on a single sofa, "He’s not in a good state, can’t drive, so I called Assistant Reyes over."
Adam also glanced at Yolanda, "How coincidental, Yolanda’s state wasn’t good just now either, I wonder what happened between them."
"Adam!" Lola thought he was being a bit too much, overly jealous.
"Alright, since Yolanda is here too, let’s get started." Noah took the lead and said, looking at Adam, "Do you want to say it, or should I?"
Adam shrugged, "You say it."
He adjusted his sitting posture and looked a bit more tense.
Yolanda furrowed her brows in confusion, "Say what? What’s going on?"
"Let me say it." Lola quickly interjected. She sat beside Yolanda and held her hand, "Yolanda, there’s something... actually, we lied to you."
"What is it?" Yolanda asked with a frown, feeling her heartbeat quicken.
"Yolanda, actually... you and Adam..." Lola glanced at Adam before continuing, "You and Adam were never married."
"What?" Yolanda exclaimed in disbelief, looking at the others.
Lola patted her hand and continued, "Don’t get agitated just yet. Let me explain. Back when you jumped into the sea and hurt your head, you lost your memory upon waking up. At that time, Ella was so young, and... we all thought you shouldn’t recall past memories, so we wanted to find a fake husband who could care for Ella with you, so you wouldn’t think about the past."
Yolanda couldn’t comprehend, "Was that the only option?"
"It was the best solution we could think of at the time." Lola sighed apologetically, "Yolanda, we really didn’t have any other intentions, just wanted to protect you and Ella."
"Then... why Adam?" Yolanda questioned, puzzled.
"At the time, the most suitable candidates were either Noah or Adam, but..." Lola looked at Noah.
Noah chuckled bitterly and continued Lola’s words, "But I was already deeply in love with you, pretending to be married, I feared... that I might do something we both would regret."
Yolanda glanced at Noah, then turned her gaze to Adam, wanting to ask him about everything that happened afterward.
In the name of being her husband, Adam repeatedly pressured her, almost forcing her - how could that be explained?
"Yolanda, I must apologize to you." Adam slowly began, "I overestimated my self-control. I didn’t expect that three years later, I would fall in love with you."
He got up from the sofa, knelt in front of Yolanda, "So today, I brought them here because I didn’t want you, after recovering your memory, to misunderstand that I have been deceiving you all along. Actually, three years ago, it happened so suddenly, we didn’t have a choice either."
He looked up at Yolanda, "Yolanda, even though our choice was ill-considered, wrong, you can’t deny that we truly acted for your good, wanting to protect you."
Yolanda still couldn’t accept it. She stood up, walked to the side, and questioned the three, "If you didn’t want me to remember the past, then why let me return to Gray City? Why did you let me end up here today?"
"Yolanda, this is my fault." Adam gestured pain, "I was too greedy. I wanted to have all of you, to have your love. So I wanted you to come back, hoping after you regained your memory, we could become a real couple."
Yolanda took a step back, looking at the three people in disbelief, the three she trusted the most in these past three years.
She turned and headed to the bedroom, "I need some time to calm down, please don’t disturb me."
Yolanda returned to the bedroom and locked the door.
Lola didn’t anticipate Yolanda’s reaction to be so intense, looking helplessly at Adam and Noah, "Have we really made a mistake?"
"Maybe." Noah sighed deeply, now more worried about Adam than anyone else.
He looked at Adam and asked, "Have you really fallen in love with Yolanda?"
"What do you mean by that?" Adam rose and sat on the sofa opposite Noah, "Are you doubting my feelings for Yolanda?"
Noah didn’t speak. Ever since their last meeting, he felt that there were suddenly too many uncertainties around Adam. Now that things had developed to this point, he wasn’t sure whether it was right for Yolanda to continue being with Adam.
