Chapter 427: Chapter 427 I Don’t Agree, This is Too Dangerous
Over the weekend, Daisy Dawson arranged to meet Yolanda Greenwood and Little Ella once again.
"I showed the last photos to the leadership," Daisy said a bit sheepishly. "They had some feedback, and after thinking it over, I realized I was a bit inconsiderate, so... we’ll need to retake them."
"No problem." Yolanda agreed readily. The second jewelry show had concluded, and she had some free time. "How should we shoot them?"
Daisy breathed a sigh of relief, "Actually, it’s not difficult. I’m confident that Ella will definitely do a great job."
"Of course, I can!" Little Ella was brimming with confidence, too.
"It’s like this, I want to emphasize the safety of our product in the photos, and this time, I hope to shoot outdoors," Daisy said, paying close attention to Yolanda’s expression, fearing she might disagree.
After all, the contract was very clear that if Yolanda found the shooting content inappropriate, she had the unilateral right to terminate the contract—an essential term Yolanda insisted on adding.
Yolanda nodded, "Go ahead."
"I want to snap some photos of Ella after encountering a ’danger’," Daisy quickly explained upon seeing Yolanda’s changing expression, "Don’t worry, nothing truly dangerous, maybe a picture of her still smiling happily after a fall."
Seeing Yolanda remained silent, Daisy further clarified, "Rest assured, our product is absolutely safe, and the shooting location is grass, so Ella definitely won’t get hurt."
"Alright, I agree." Yolanda thought it over again and finally consented.
"Great." Daisy finally released the worry she was holding. She instructed the staff to help Little Ella change clothes, then took the mother and daughter to a nearby park for the shoot.
The shooting went smoothly once more. One must admit, Little Ella was indeed a natural talent in this area.
Daisy was thrilled when she received the photos, "Miss Greenwood, Ella, rest assured, these photos are definitely fine. Once they’re published, I’ll notify you right away."
"Alright, I’ll count on you then." With that, Yolanda left with Little Ella.
Holding the photos, Daisy went to find Caleb Sullivan, and this time, she was brimming with confidence, "Vice President Sullivan, the skin clothing photos have been retaken and turned out particularly well. You’ll definitely be satisfied."
"Is that so?" Caleb raised an eyebrow, yet his mind was on how Lola Gold hadn’t spoken to him these past few days since the dinner gathering.
He must seize this opportunity to exact his revenge.
He took the photos, flipped through them casually, then tossed them into the trash, "Nope, what is this junk?"
"Still not okay?" Daisy this time didn’t seek Caleb’s approval anymore and retrieved the photos herself, "Vice President Sullivan, this shoot fully aligned with your opinions. What’s the issue?"
"Your name is Daisy Dawson, right?" Caleb looked impatient, "Can’t you use your brain?"
"Yes, this time Little Ella isn’t as clean as before, but don’t you think it looks like a detergent ad?" He knocked on the table hard, "I want to showcase the clothing’s safety. Where does your photograph demonstrate that?"
Daisy argued with reason, "The photos show our kids wearing our skin clothing fell but didn’t get hurt and are still smiling happily. I think that shows the clothing’s safety."
"Not enough!" Caleb sighed and shook his head, "Besides, if you release these photos, they’ll gain no traction at all. Nope, they need to be reshot."
Daisy was silent, and she vaguely felt Caleb was causing a scene on purpose.
"Here’s an idea. I’ll tell you how to shoot and what scene to create. Otherwise, you’re dragging down the entire marketing department’s progress," Caleb said after some thought, "Didn’t this child become famous after falling into the panda exhibit?"
Daisy nodded hesitantly, unsure of Caleb’s intentions but sensing something ominous.
Sure enough, Caleb continued, "Then let her fall in again, wearing our skin clothing. That way, she’s unharmed, proving our product’s safety. You should shoot photos and a promotional video simultaneously, then launch them together for sure-fire success."
"Fall in again?" Just hearing it made Daisy’s heart skip a beat. "Vice President Sullivan, that place is very high, not something to play around with. It’s too dangerous to shoot like this."
"What? You don’t trust our skin clothing?" Caleb raised an eyebrow, his face darkening.
"Vice President Sullivan, falling from such a height presents many dangers. What if she hits her head or breaks a bone? Our skin clothing doesn’t protect against those," Daisy shook her head, "I refuse to shoot it like that, it’s too risky."
"You refuse?" Caleb sneered, "Daisy Dawson, who do you think you are? If you refuse, you can resign. I can find someone else to do it."
Daisy stared in shock, eyes wide, "I won’t agree, and no one else will either. Miss Yolanda, as Ella’s mother, definitely wouldn’t agree. Vice President Sullivan, you can give up on this idea."
"Yolanda disagrees?" Caleb retorted, "Didn’t you sign a contract? If she disagrees, she pays."
Feeling genuinely grateful for the contract alteration, Daisy replied, "Vice President Sullivan, our contract explicitly states that if Miss Greenwood disagrees with the filming content, she can terminate the contract at any time."
"What?" Caleb was furious. "Who allowed you to sign such a contract? Where do you place the company’s interests?"
At this point, Daisy knew her job was lost. She tore off her work badge and threw it on the table, "Sorry, but a heartless company that exploits people—I won’t serve anymore."
With that, she turned and walked out.
"You! Get back here!" Caleb yelled hoarsely, but she didn’t listen.
Daisy packed her things and soon left, glancing back at the entrance. The scene of encouragement from Cooper Coldson flashed in her mind.
She originally thought she had joined a good company and met a great leader, but unexpectedly, Cooper was also someone who exploited his power and didn’t care about the company’s image and interests.
Daisy thought fiercely: To this lousy company, I wish you an early closure.
When Caleb learned Daisy had really resigned, he slammed the files in anger, "What a thing? She’s deserting at the critical moment, irresponsible, such a person is not fit to join Coldson Group!"
"Yes." The person who came to take over Daisy’s work was named Isaac King.
Caleb looked at him, "Did she give you all the materials related to the skin clothing product promotion?"
Isaac nodded.
"Alright then, you are in charge of following up on the promotional photos and videos, according to the template I’ve given. Get the job done well, and there’ll be a raise for you."
