Chapter 407: Chapter 407: Don’t Easily Fall for Cooper Coldson Again

Elsie Adams quickly persuaded Mina Stone. After they took care of the clothes together, she sent the photo of Yolanda Greenwood with Little Gabriel to Isabella Ross.

[Aunt Ross, I went out shopping today and saw Yolanda with Little Gabriel. I thought I should let you know.]

She did this partly to test Isabella Ross’s attitude and partly so that Isabella would know whom to blame if anything happened to Little Gabriel.

Isabella Ross was very surprised to see the photo. She thought for a moment before replying to Elsie Adams, [Aunt really isn’t aware of this. I’ll ask Cooper and get back to you.]

Elsie Adams quickly replied, [Aunt Ross, I don’t need an explanation. I believe you! Please talk to Cooper properly!]

Isabella Ross promptly forwarded the photo to Cooper Coldson and called him.

"Mom, An-An is going to be a flower boy at Lola Gold’s wedding, so I let Yolanda take care of him today."

Isabella Ross burst out, "What are you saying? An-An is going to be a flower boy for whom? Lola Gold? Cooper..."

"Mom, he’ll be with Ella too, and An-An is very happy about it, so don’t worry about it." Cooper Coldson interrupted Isabella Ross and changed the subject, "Has Uncle returned yet?"

"He can come back if he wants." Isabella Ross couldn’t be bothered with Christopher Coldson’s affairs. Both her sons were enough to worry about.

She said with heartfelt seriousness, "Cooper, I am happy that An-An and Ella get together, but I must remind you, Cooper, Yolanda has amnesia. Amnesia, do you understand? She doesn’t remember you, nor does she remember An-An."

She sighed before continuing, "To her, An-An is just a poor child, even if she feels guilty, it’s out of responsibility, not a mother’s instinct. You easily entrusting An-An to her could easily lead to trouble."

"Mom, I know. Don’t worry, it’s just for today. I’ll personally take care of him tomorrow at Lola Gold’s wedding."

Seeing her son say this, Isabella Ross couldn’t say much more, finally reminding him, "Your big brother will be back in a few days. Keep some time free to bring An-An back for a family dinner."

"Got it, mom. I have to get busy now." Cooper Coldson quickly hung up the phone.

In the afternoon, Yolanda Greenwood and Lola Gold took the two babies to pick up their clothes. After repeatedly checking to ensure nothing was sharp, they took them away.

After dinner, the two little ones played together for a while, and then Yolanda Greenwood gave them a bath and tucked them into bed.

"Tonight, your godmother will sleep on the sofa, and we’ll sleep on the bed together."

"Great, great." The two little ones clapped their hands in joy, especially Little Gabriel. It was his first time sleeping with his mom, and he was particularly excited.

"Alright, play for a while yourselves. If you get sleepy, go to sleep first. Mom will chat with your godmother for a while and come back." Yolanda Greenwood gave each child a goodnight kiss and closed the door.

When she returned to the living room, she found that Lola Gold had already prepared wine and snacks. She couldn’t help but laugh and cry, "What? Are you really planning to drink until you’re drunk tonight? Don’t forget you have to get up early tomorrow."

"Oh, just drink a little and chat with me. Just a little." Lola Gold walked over and held onto her, "You know, tonight is my precious single night. If it weren’t for those two little rascals, we should be going to a bar."

Yolanda Greenwood shook her head helplessly, "Alright, alright, I’ll drink with you, but just a little."

"Mm, I knew Yolanda was the best." Lola Gold hugged Yolanda Greenwood tightly before starting to pour wine.

The two drank and chatted, and time passed quickly. Lola Gold soon became somewhat drunk.

"Yolanda, I really can’t believe that I’m getting married tomorrow." She sat back-to-back with Yolanda Greenwood, a confused expression on her face. "I don’t even know if I’ll regret it in the future."

Yolanda Greenwood took a small sip and said, "If you regret it, just get divorced. Many people are getting divorced these days."

"I don’t love Caleb Sullivan," Lola continued to speak to herself, "but I know Caleb Sullivan loves me very much. However... However, we have many differences in handling things. Although he always admits his mistakes and corrects them immediately, I know he doesn’t genuinely accept my way; otherwise, he wouldn’t repeatedly make the same mistakes."

She slightly turned her head to look at Yolanda, "Yolanda, do you think we’ll be happy?"

"Happy?" Yolanda seemed to be asking herself too, "What is a happy marriage like anyway?"

"What? Isn’t your marriage happy enough?" Lola shook her head, "Yolanda, you shouldn’t take your blessings for granted..."

"I don’t know. It’s just sometimes..." Yolanda lowered her head, her voice weakened, "It’s just sometimes when I’m with him, I always feel like we’re both carefully playing our roles. Because I have amnesia, I really don’t remember what we were like in the past, and I don’t know how to love him either. But what about him?"

Lola’s expression changed slightly, before saying after a while, "He’s protecting you."

Yolanda tipped back her head and drank a glass of wine, "Sometimes, I genuinely wish he would get angry at me and ask me to do something, instead of behaving like this."

"Yolanda, it’ll be alright." Lola turned around and hugged Yolanda tightly, "Believe me, everything will get better and better."

"Lola, sometimes I can’t help but doubt, did we really get married?" Yolanda murmured; this question had troubled her for three years.

This time, however, Lola didn’t give her a definitive answer straight away.

"Lola, how much have you guys been hiding from me?" Yolanda’s tears fell unknowingly, "If I hadn’t returned to Gray City this time, would I never have known I have a son? When do you plan to tell me the truth?"

"Yolanda, do you trust me?" Lola looked at her with tearful eyes, "You must understand one fact. No matter how much we say or how we say it, we are merely observers when it comes to the past. You are the true experiencer, so we will never provide you with the truth you want; you must remember on your own."

Yolanda looked at her helplessly, "Remember on my own? Is it possible? It’s been three years, and I can’t recall anything."

"Yolanda, even if you can’t remember, it doesn’t matter. Isn’t everything now good?" Lola quietly watched her eyes, "Yolanda, I want you to promise me one thing. No matter what happens, don’t easily fall for Cooper Coldson."

Yolanda frowned, unsure of how to respond to Lola.

"Yolanda, remember, people always fall into the same trap, so Cooper Coldson will always be dangerous to you." Lola shook Yolanda’s shoulder, "Remember, don’t fall in love with Cooper easily again, absolutely don’t!"
