Chapter 373: Chapter 373: Ella’s Mom Is a Jewelry Designer
"Yes, it’s not very serious, but like Ella, they need very careful attention."
Thinking of that little one, Yolanda couldn’t help but feel a pang in her heart. Clearly such a good child, yet diagnosed with autism.
"Mom, don’t be sad," Little Ella said while wiping her tears away forcefully, "I won’t cry anymore, I want to protect brother and take good care of him."
"Good girl, our Ella is the best." Yolanda held the little one at the coffee shop entrance without immediately stepping outside, watching Elsie Adams and Gabriel approaching that man.
The sky outside was already dark, and the man’s outline was obscured under the street lights. Yolanda still couldn’t quite see his features, yet something in her heart held an undeniable ache, preventing her from stepping out of the café.
Yolanda couldn’t help but wonder, did they know each other in the past? Why did she feel so strange inside?
Outside the café, Little Gabriel walked briskly ahead, seeing Cooper Coldson without greeting him, quickly getting into the car on his own.
Elsie Adams stepped forward a few paces, smiling and explaining to Cooper Coldson, "I saw Gabriel ate very little at lunch and was afraid he’d be hungry, so I took him to have a little cake."
"It’s really troublesome for Teacher Adams," Cooper Coldson was slightly surprised, didn’t expect Little Gabriel to trust Elsie Adams so much. He nodded slightly saying, "See you tomorrow, Teacher Adams!"
"Mr. Coldson, see you tomorrow!" Elsie Adams wished he would say a few more words to her, but every time he would politely express gratitude and say goodbye, never saying more.
She stood by the roadside, watching Cooper Coldson’s car start and leave, wishing she could one day sit in that car with him.
After getting in the car, Little Gabriel carefully opened his backpack, took out a book, and eventually found the Baby Bunny given to him by Little Ella, proudly showing it off as Cooper Coldson got in.
"Did Ella give it to you?" Cooper Coldson still insisted on not calling her his sister, despite the similar names, no matter how much Gabriel liked it, nothing could replace his Little Ella.
He took the Baby Bunny, a smile playing in his eyes; actually, the little girl didn’t fold it very well, twisted and crooked, like a rabbit and also a little like a puppy, making one chuckle.
"Sister!" Little Gabriel would correct his silly dad every time, but the silly dad would make the same mistake every time.
Cooper Coldson tugged at the corner of his mouth, soon noticing that the paper used to fold the bunny was an invitation to the Baruy jewelry exhibit, only the invitee’s name was tucked in the middle, he couldn’t see it.
Little Gabriel was afraid he’d ruin the Baby Bunny, quickly snatched it back, and cherished it tucked back into the book.
Cooper Coldson patted his son’s little head, "Looks like Ella’s mom is a very impressive jewelry designer."
Anyone invited to participate in the Baruy jewelry exhibition is among the best in the industry, being able to casually use such a precious invitation for folding paper means they’ve already been recognized by Baruy.
Cooper Coldson found it amusing, Ella had given Gabriel quite a few things, it was clear she was a clumsy little sweetheart, yet didn’t expect her mom to be so impressive, while his Gabriel had entirely inherited Yolanda’s artistic talent, whether painting or other aspects, he was a little prodigy.
He couldn’t help but think of Yolanda: Yolanda, where are you? Your son really looks like you, you’d surely be pleased to know!
If Little Ella followed Yolanda, her talent would definitely be higher, perhaps when the two kids meet, they could compete someday.
At that moment, Sophie Taylor’s message came in, confirming for the last time whether he wanted to attend the big exhibition, thinking of the invitation just now, but he only wanted to meet Ella, had no interest in Ella’s mom, so he again declined.
Yolanda eventually stayed with Little Ella, having dinner at the café before heading back home.
"Finally back." Lola Gold was eating alone, seemingly very bored, she picked up Little Ella, "Hey, our Princess ate something delicious outside, do you feel heavier?"
Little Ella sheepishly nestled into Lola Gold’s neck yet couldn’t help but brag, "I ate with brother."
Lola Gold was amused and exasperated, "Our Ella’s mouth every day is brother, brother, do you like that brother so much?"
"Yes." Little Ella nodded firmly, "And godmother, do you know? Brother and I have the same birthday."
"Same birthday?" Lola Gold glanced at Yolanda involuntarily, "Such a coincidence?"
"Yeah, and our names are similar too." Little Ella recited enthusiastically, "He’s called Gabriel, I’m Ella, but our last names are different."
She tugged her little head to ask Yolanda, "Mom, can I have the same last name as brother?"
"Of course not." Yolanda said, "Ella, go change clothes and brush your teeth, you ate too many sweets today."
"Okay." Little Ella agreed obediently, seeing Lola Gold’s strange expression, "Godmother, what’s wrong with you?"
"Huh? Godmother’s fine, you go on." Lola Gold put down Little Ella, looking thoughtful.
"What’s wrong? Lost in thought." Yolanda asked concernedly, "Did Caleb not come looking for you? What exactly do you plan to do?"
"I’ll have my mom return the betrothal gift tomorrow, I’m definitely not going to marry him." Lola Gold sat beside Yolanda, "Oh, Yolanda, I want to take Ella to kindergarten tomorrow, along the way see that brother, see how handsome he really is."
"Sure." Yolanda didn’t care much, "You’ll tell Ella in a while, if she agrees I have no issue."
Little Ella naturally agreed and comforted Yolanda not to get jealous.
That evening, Lola Gold texted that number again, [Yolanda, Ella, Gabriel, have started to connect, but Yolanda still seems to have not remembered anything.]
After sending that, she deleted it again.
The next day, Lola Gold sent Little Ella to kindergarten early, sure enough, saw Little Gabriel.
"Godmother, brother comes to kindergarten first every day, and leaves last." Little Ella couldn’t help but praise her brother.
Lola Gold reached out wanting to pat Little Gabriel’s head, but Little Gabriel was obviously vigilant, she had to withdraw her hand again.
"Good Gabriel, just wait a little longer, mom will be back soon." She sniffed and softly said.
Little Ella widened her eyes, "Godmother, do you know brother’s mom?"
"I do." Lola Gold smiled, "Alright, Ella, Gabriel, godmother has to go, will come see you another day."
"Goodbye, godmother!" Little Ella waved obediently.
Lola Gold quickly left.
Elsie Adams was behind her, her expression changed, she’d heard Lola Gold’s words just now, evidently Lola Gold was also one of those in the know.
Could it be Lola Gold wanted Yolanda and Cooper Coldson to reunite?
Elsie Adams silently bit her lip, it seems she must quickly find a way to get Little Ella out of kindergarten, prevent them from reuniting, even if they did, make sure Cooper Coldson wouldn’t accept Yolanda.
