Chapter 336: Chapter 336: Should the Wedding Continue or Not?

Melissa was brought to Cooper’s side.

However, Cooper looked at her with downcast eyes, showing no intention of holding her hand.

Melissa’s expression changed slightly, awkwardly standing next to Cooper, and complained softly, "Cooper won’t even hold my hand, too inconsiderate."

Cooper raised his head and looked ahead, where in the guest seats, Yolanda stood out in a black dress.

Following his gaze, Melissa saw he was looking at Yolanda, becoming even more displeased, and said in a low voice, "I just bumped into Yolanda. She even said congratulations to us. I didn’t expect her to come."

Cooper shifted his gaze away at her words.

The emcee began the event with many auspicious words. Before exchanging rings, Melissa had designed several segments.

Even Isabella was invited on stage to say some words of blessing. Holding Little Gabriel in her arms, she had no intention of avoiding raising eyebrows.

Melissa’s face looked even worse, and she silently vowed to herself that she would have a child quickly and never allow Yolanda’s son to become the heir to the Coldson Group.

The wedding continued, and the next segment was the VCR playback.

Cooper seemed a bit impatient and frowned, asking, "What’s this?"

"I prepared it carefully," Melissa looked at Cooper shyly, "It’s for you, for our wedding."

The huge screen soon began to play, but the moment the images appeared, Melissa’s face turned white as snow.

Instead of the video she prepared, it was Little May who appeared in the center of the screen.

"What’s going on?" Melissa lifted her foot to stop them from playing it, as this wasn’t the video she prepared.

Cooper grabbed her, "What’s wrong?"

"This isn’t my video, they made a mistake," Melissa struggled to break free from Cooper’s hold, "I need to have them switch it back."

But Cooper didn’t let go, "Let’s see what Little May has to say."

On the screen, the little one was wearing a black princess dress, looking particularly cute, but there was also an indescribable fear.

"Hello, everyone!" Little May waved at the camera, "Welcome to my mom’s wedding!"

The audience was in an uproar.

"What’s happening? Whose kid is this?"

"Isn’t that the adopted daughter of Melissa? She’s really pretty, looks a lot like her."

In the guest seats, Yolanda and Lola Gold exchanged a smile. This was the video they had just switched backstage, also filmed by Adam Sterling at the base for Little May.

Little May started introducing herself, "My name is Eloise Parker, from the Parkers, thoughts of thoughtfulness, Melissa’s beauty, everyone calls me Little May."

"What’s this kid rambling about?" Melissa was shaking all over, but Cooper kept holding her arm, she couldn’t do anything at all.

Cooper glanced at the screen and then at the guest seat, from afar, he met Yolanda’s gaze.

He understood then that this video was prepared by Yolanda.

The video continued to play, Little May’s sweet childlike voice echoed throughout the venue, "I am two years old this year, born in country M!"

"Utter nonsense!" Melissa pleaded with Cooper, "Cooper, it must be Yolanda inciting May to lie, you must make them stop playing, these are all lies."

"What can a child’s words do?" Cooper smiled at her, "Do you take it seriously?"

At that moment, Melissa realized Cooper’s smile was a bit eerie; she shook more violently, feeling there was still something waiting for her.

Little May continued, "Daddy said I was a pitiful child, abandoned by my mother at birth, but I don’t think so because I believe mom would come back, and sure enough, one day, mommy really came back."

As she spoke, she suddenly took a piece of paper from the side and held it to her chest; that paper was greatly enlarged on the giant screen, and every word on it was clear to see.

The people below immediately began to whisper.

"It’s a DNA test report, is this child really Melissa’s daughter?"

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, how did this happen?"

On the screen, Little May continued, "But my mom has been unwilling to acknowledge me, even fearing that Uncle Coldson would suspect, she secretly changed my age and name, but now I’ve been tested, and mom can’t deny it anymore, right?"

Melissa swayed, unable to clearly hear what Little May said next.

By the time she came to, she heard Little May say, "If mom doesn’t want me, fine, but using me to threaten Aunt Yolanda, Aunt Yolanda is the kindest to me, and I won’t allow anyone to bully her."

Next, there was actually an audio recording of Yolanda and Melissa at the Azure Cafe.

Melissa’s words were played out clearly.

Everyone looked at Melissa with ridicule, sympathy, or just curiosity, pointing and talking about her.

Melissa knew it was too late to close the video, and Cooper released her hand.

She ripped off the wedding veil from her head and pointed at Yolanda in the guest seat, shouting, "Yolanda, how can you do this with a clear conscience?"

She explained to everyone, "This Little May is just a child I adopted, and for so long, I’ve treated her like my own daughter, but I never thought she would team up with Yolanda to slander me like this."

Crying, she turned back to look at Cooper, "Cooper, believe me, it’s all fake, everything Little May said is fake, just because I sent her away, so she holds a grudge against me, all the DNA reports, the names, ages, all fake, all devised by Yolanda to frame me."

She pleaded as she walked towards Cooper, "Cooper, you have to believe me, you can’t be deceived by Yolanda again, she simply doesn’t want you to be with me."

In the guest seats, Lola Gold was utterly astonished, "I have really never seen such a shameless person, with so much evidence in front of her, she still claims it’s fake, that others are harming her, utterly shameless to the extreme."

Yolanda was not surprised, after all this time, she had experienced Melissa’s various tactics.

However, this time, if Cooper believed Melissa and continued the wedding, then even after their wedding, the DNA test could be redone, and Cooper would eventually learn the truth.

So now it depended on how much Cooper trusted Melissa.

The entire venue was silent, and all eyes were on the newlyweds.

Isabella held Little Gabriel in her arms, lowered her voice, and asked Cooper, "What on earth is going on? Where did this video come from?"

Cooper looked down at Melissa.

"Cooper, believe me, it’s all fake, it’s all Yolanda’s doing, she wants to take you back, you mustn’t let her succeed."

Cooper remained silent.

Isabella couldn’t help but become anxious, "Cooper, what are you thinking? Should the wedding continue or not?"
