Chapter 334: Chapter 334: The Wedding Gift Prepared for Melissa Greenwood

Melissa Greenwood’s expression changed slightly. "Forget it. It wasn’t easy for her to agree to leave. I’m afraid the child will start crying and fussing again if she sees you."

"Alright, send her over directly tomorrow," Cooper Coldson spoke up.

"Then I’ll be leaving now." Melissa Greenwood glanced at Cooper Coldson, realizing he wasn’t planning to see her out. She turned around and left by herself.

As she walked, she reassured herself, it didn’t matter. They were about to get married. As long as she became Mrs. Coldson, Cooper wouldn’t have any reason to ignore her anymore.

Soon, everything would be fine.

Back at the old house, Isabella Ross looked at Cooper Coldson. "I really like May. If you don’t want her, you can send her to me. She’d be a good companion for Gabriel."

"Alright. If you miss her, you can visit Yolanda Greenwood from now on." Cooper Coldson showed no intention of changing his mind.

Isabella Ross sighed softly. "Cooper, do you have something on your mind?"

"Mom, I’m fine, really." Cooper Coldson tugged at the corners of his mouth. "Enough. The preparations are almost done. Go keep Gabriel company and be careful not to overwork yourself."

"Marriage is a lifelong commitment. How can you just settle for ’almost done’?" Isabella Ross muttered helplessly and shook her head.

Cooper Coldson stared at the glaring red double-happiness character on the table and murmured to himself, "Who says getting married is forever?"

Isabella Ross’s heart skipped a beat as she looked at Cooper Coldson with concern. "Cooper, are you still hung up on Yolanda Greenwood?"

"No." Cooper Coldson snapped out of his thoughts. "Enough of this. Stop fussing and go check on Gabriel."

He helped Isabella Ross to her feet and walked with her to the nursery.

The postpartum doula stood up immediately as they entered. "The little master is asleep."

Little Gabriel lay in the crib, looking chubbier than before. His rosy cheeks gave him an adorable appearance. When he slept, he often pursed his lips slightly, which made him even cuter.

Cooper Coldson noticed something peculiar—this child had a habit of frowning, even while sleeping.

He found it displeasing and gently smoothed Gabriel’s furrowed brows with his fingertips, but moments later, the little guy was frowning again.

"Pfft!" The postpartum doula couldn’t help but laugh. "The little master always looks like he’s worrying about national affairs!"

Isabella Ross glanced at Cooper Coldson with a helpless look. "Just like his father."

She couldn’t help but think of Little Ella. "Even though Gabriel and Ella are twins, their personalities are so different. Little Ella loves to smile; she’s such a bundle of joy."

"I wonder how much weight Ella has gained. She’s probably heavier than Gabriel by now." Isabella Ross muttered, her eyes turning red.

"Mom!" Cooper Coldson squeezed Isabella Ross’s arm gently. "If you miss her, just visit her often from now on."

Knowing her son was about to remarry, Isabella Ross didn’t want to add to his worries. She nodded. "Alright."

But deep down, she knew very well that ever since Cooper Coldson and Yolanda Greenwood divorced, Gabriel and Ella were destined to be separated forever.

Elsewhere, Yolanda Greenwood played with Little Ella for a long time until the little girl was exhausted and fell sound asleep.

"Ella truly is an angel," the postpartum doula couldn’t help but praise. "I’ve been working in this field for seven or eight years, and this is the first time I’ve met such a well-behaved child."

Yolanda Greenwood smiled knowingly. "She’s a sensible child."

She watched her beloved daughter for a little while longer before heading back to the bedroom to work overtime. She had yet to design the "Islands" wedding jewelry set.

Today, she called the company, and Sophie Taylor told her the client hadn’t rushed her.

Initially, Yolanda Greenwood suspected the jewelry might have been commissioned by Cooper Coldson, but given that his wedding date was fast approaching, coupled with his heartless behavior earlier, she was convinced the jewelry had nothing to do with him.

Yolanda Greenwood felt she had been overthinking. The person who commissioned the jewelry was likely a romantic travel enthusiast, and the matter had nothing to do with her name.

She worked on the designs for a while, when suddenly her phone rang from nearby. It was a message from Melissa Greenwood.

[Tomorrow, Azure Cafe. I’ll return Little May to you.]

Yolanda Greenwood read the message and curled her lips into a slight smile, quickly replying with a single word, [Alright.]

She guessed Melissa Greenwood was feeling smug right now, thinking that sending Little May away meant she was close to becoming Mrs. Coldson. Yolanda Greenwood could even imagine how arrogant Melissa would be tomorrow.

But karma always comes full circle. What awaited Melissa Greenwood in the future was nothing but the net of justice!

The next day, Yolanda Greenwood arrived at Azure Cafe on time and saw that Melissa Greenwood was already there.

She composed herself and jogged over, feigning confusion. "Where’s May? Didn’t you say you’d hand May over today?"

Melissa Greenwood crossed her arms. "Why so anxious? Are you planning to reveal my secrets to Cooper Coldson the moment you take May back?"

"Melissa Greenwood, I’m not as vile as you think. Where’s May?" Yolanda Greenwood’s face turned cold, and she appeared visibly anxious.

Melissa Greenwood smiled with satisfaction. "Don’t worry. I’ve already sent May away."

"What?" Yolanda Greenwood deliberately displayed a shocked expression. "Where did you send May? Melissa Greenwood, have you forgotten my warning? I told you, if you dare touch Little May, I won’t let you off easily."

"Why are you so worked up?" Melissa Greenwood pulled out a video sent from abroad yesterday. "Look, Little May is doing great right now."

In the video, Little May was skipping along cheerfully, looking very happy.

Yolanda Greenwood stared at Melissa Greenwood, visibly puzzled. "Where exactly did you send May? What are you planning?"

"Call me paranoid, say I lack security, whatever you want. But until Cooper and I successfully hold our wedding ceremony, I can’t bear to return Little May to you."

Yolanda Greenwood gritted her teeth. "You’re utterly shameless."

Melissa Greenwood shrugged indifferently. "So, just rest assured and wait a few more days. After the wedding, I’ll make sure to pick up Little May and return her to you."

"Why should I believe you?" Yolanda Greenwood glared at her furiously.

Melissa Greenwood smiled. "Yolanda, Little May is with me. Only I know where she is. Do you have any other choice but to believe me right now?"

Yolanda Greenwood clenched her teeth but said nothing.

"Alright then, I’ve got plenty to do and won’t stay here to chat over coffee." Melissa Greenwood stood up, picked up her bag, and prepared to leave. "By the way, if Cooper asks, I hope you won’t spill the beans. May? I’ve already handed her over to you."

"Melissa Greenwood!" Yolanda Greenwood was livid.

"Bye-bye!" Melissa Greenwood put on her sunglasses and sashayed away.

Yolanda Greenwood remained seated, motionless. After waiting for a while and confirming that Melissa Greenwood had indeed left, she pulled a recording device out of her bag.

She pressed play, and the conversation between the two of them from earlier played back. Though there was some background noise, the content was clear, and the voices unmistakably belonged to the two of them.

Yolanda Greenwood carefully tucked the recording device away—this was the wedding gift she had prepared for Melissa Greenwood!
