Chapter 300: Chapter 300 The Consent Form Can Only Be Signed by Cooper Coldson
Cooper Coldson’s footsteps were heavily weighted, as if he were in a rage.
Yolanda Greenwood was startled but before she could react, Cooper had pulled her aside.
Approaching, Cooper, his hands trembling, tried to feel for Old Master Coldson’s breath, and indeed, the old man was gone.
He died with his eyes open!
Yolanda’s legs gave way, and in disbelief, she opened her mouth wide. Instinctively reaching for the machinery beside her for support, she could not keep herself steady.
At that moment, Cooper suddenly turned around, staring at Yolanda with intense hatred, "Are you satisfied now?"
Yolanda, not understanding his meaning, slowly shook her head.
Cooper stepped forward, gripping Yolanda’s shoulders tightly, "Are you satisfied? He died with his eyes open, are you satisfied now?"
"No... it’s not..." Yolanda, unable to cry out, couldn’t form complete sentences, but she didn’t understand what Cooper meant. Why would she wish for Old Master Coldson to die with his eyes open?
"This was his last wish before he died, why couldn’t you even deceive him?" Cooper continued to shake Yolanda vigorously.
It turned out that from the moment Yolanda entered the room, Cooper had been watching the room through the surveillance and knew about their conversation.
Yolanda’s body uncontrollably slumped down. Was it because she hadn’t agreed not to divorce?
Was it because of that, Old Master Coldson had died with his eyes open?
She felt even worse, nearly unable to breathe, and turned to shout towards Old Master Coldson’s body, "I’m sorry, Grandfather, I’m sorry!"
She wanted to break free from Cooper’s grip, she wanted to go see her grandfather again, to talk to him for a few more words.
But Cooper held onto her arms tightly, his voice cold as he said, "Do I disgust you that much?"
Yolanda couldn’t hear his words; she was just looking at Old Master Coldson, wanting to see him once more.
The noise upstairs had startled the people in the living room; Isabella Ross and Noah Coldson, among others, went upstairs, and when they opened the door, everyone’s eyes widened in shock.
Noah strode forward, throwing a punch at Cooper’s face, "Have you lost your mind? What are you doing?"
As Cooper let go, Yolanda instantly collapsed.
Noah quickly caught her, his face turning pale with fright, as Yolanda was covered in blood, "Yolanda, how are you?"
"Get her to the hospital immediately," Isabella glared at Cooper, "Do you not understand the gravity of the situation?"
It wasn’t until that moment that Cooper saw the blood covering Yolanda’s lower body.
He panicked as well, trying to follow, but Isabella grabbed him, "Where do you think you’re going?"
"Cooper," Melissa Greenwood stepped forward just in time, "It’ll be all right, big brother will take care of it."
Cooper stood there dazed, and after a moment he softly said, "Grandfather’s gone."
Instantly, heart-wrenching cries erupted in the room as Isabella, Melissa, and other female family members broke down in tears, while several men also wiped away theirs.
Cooper stood there, as if he had lost his soul, unable to stop his own tears.
Was he wrong?
But how could Yolanda have acted that way just now? Grandfather had begged her; even a lie would have sufficed, but she refused.
She would rather Grandfather died with his eyes open than lie about not divorcing him; why did she despise him to this extent? Why?
Due to Old Master Coldson’s death, the entire Coldson Family estate was thrown into chaos; even though they were somewhat prepared, the arrival of this moment still felt overwhelming to everyone.
On the other side, when Noah Coldson was putting Yolanda Greenwood into the car, he realized she was already unconscious.
While he rushed toward the hospital, he dialed Ivy Hall’s number, "Sister Hall, Yolanda is bleeding, I’m now..."
"What happened?" Ivy Hall was extremely upset, "How could she be bleeding at a time like this?"
She knew that Yolanda’s twins were likely to be born today, nearly two months ahead of schedule, and there was no certainty if the children, or even the adult, would survive such danger.
"Come quickly, I’ll have the hospital ready," Ivy Hall said before hanging up and hurrying off to make arrangements.
Noah then called the traffic department, ensuring a clear path and quickly reached the hospital at top speed.
Yolanda was placed on the stretcher, still unconscious, her face pale as paper.
"Sister Hall," Noah had never been so scared, "you must save her and the children."
"I’ll try my best." Ivy Hall thought of something and quickly returned, "Doesn’t she have any other family? If a situation arises, who will sign for it?"
Noah shook his head helplessly, "No, it’s just her now."
"What about Cooper Coldson?" Ivy Hall sighed, "I know you don’t want them to have any ties, but as long as Yolanda and Cooper aren’t divorced, the consent form can only be signed by Cooper."
She finished, "Get Cooper here quickly."
Noah felt a complete breakdown approaching as he leaned against a wall, drained of strength.
With Old Master Coldson gone and Yolanda in such a condition, he truly felt like he was being torn apart. Did he really have to call Cooper over?
But at this moment, it seemed he had no choice.
After taking a couple of deep breaths, Noah finally dialed Cooper Coldson’s number, and Cooper answered quickly.
"Women’s and Children’s Hospital, come over immediately."
"Noah, have you lost your mind?" Cooper’s tone was harsh, "Grandfather is gone, why do you want me to go there now?"
"Then why haven’t you divorced Yolanda?" Noah couldn’t hold back anymore and yelled into the phone, "Now she and the children are in life-threatening danger, they need a family member to sign. If you don’t want to come, why don’t you divorce her?"
Cooper was stunned, "In life-threatening danger? How is that possible? I didn’t do anything, did I?"
"You didn’t do anything?" Noah really wanted to laugh out of anger, "She loved Grandfather the most. He just died, and you’re there accusing her, you did nothing? You might as well have stabbed her with a knife."
Cooper turned and ran downstairs, nearly falling, "I’m coming right now, right away."
His legs felt like they weren’t obeying him, he hadn’t expected this.
At the time, he was just angry, he just wanted to know why Yolanda hated him so much, he truly didn’t mean to harm her.
He got into his car in a daze.
"Boss, where are you going?" Richard Reyes noticed something was wrong and hurried after him, "Where are you going? I’ll take you."
But Cooper didn’t utter a word, the car already speeding off with a jerk.
Richard shivered with fear, knowing that a distraught Cooper driving in such a hurry could easily lead to an accident.
Not daring to waste time, he quickly followed in another car, with his palms sweaty from fright.
At this moment, Cooper had completely lost his reason, honking continuously, ignoring red and green lights, with only one thought in his mind: Yolanda was in danger.
"She can’t die, she can’t die!" Cooper kept repeating to himself.
Blaring the horn, pressing the accelerator, the car raced madly through the streets.
