Chapter 292: Chapter 292: The Photo Studio Turns into a Battlefield
"You’re going to have a photo session with Noah Coldson?" Cooper Coldson, who initially had left, returned with a darkened face, standing in front of Yolanda Greenwood.
Yolanda took a deep breath and tried her best to control her emotions, "This has nothing to do with you."
"It has nothing to do with me?" Cooper clenched his teeth and lowered his voice to remind Yolanda, "I heard everything you said in Grandpa’s room that day."
He emphasized each word, "You said the child was mine."
"Cooper, have you lost your mind?" Hearing Cooper bring up that matter again, Yolanda’s palms instantly became sweaty. She stood up and forced herself to look him in the eye, "I’ll tell you again, Grandpa wasn’t lucid that day. He forgot we were getting divorced, and I didn’t want to upset him, so I lied on purpose to deceive him."
Her hands clenched tightly by her side, voice trembling slightly, she said, "I’m telling you, the child isn’t yours, it has nothing to do with you."
"Is that so?" Cooper smirked provocatively, "Then do you dare to have a DNA test with me?"
Yolanda’s body swayed, barely able to stand still, "Cooper, can you please stop making unreasonable trouble? I’m not going to have any DNA test with you. Such a thing is very harmful to the child and the mother. You better drop the idea now."
Yolanda sat back down, feeling completely drained.
Cooper let out a "heh" sarcastically and laughed with arms crossed, "Clearly you just don’t dare."
Yolanda ignored him, continuing to browse through the sample albums, appearing distracted. Clearly, the words from that day had taken root in Cooper’s heart, and if she didn’t find a way to deal with it, Cooper’s suspicions would only grow stronger.
Cooper didn’t leave either; instead, he stood there, his gaze fixed on the pregnancy photo album. Whenever he saw a picture of a child’s father, his anger rose a notch.
Soon, he couldn’t contain himself anymore, and warned Yolanda in a low voice, "You are not allowed to have a photo session with Noah Coldson, do you hear me?"
Yolanda looked up at him angrily, "Cooper, are you out of your mind? Who I have a photo session with has nothing to do with you. Your fiancée is inside picking out a wedding dress, does she know you’re out here concerning yourself with someone else’s business?"
Cooper felt his head buzzing with anger, feeling like he could explode at any moment.
He grabbed Yolanda’s chin forcefully, "I’ll say it again, you are not allowed to have a photo session with Noah..."
"Cooper, what are you doing?" Noah Coldson’s voice came from the doorway. He swiftly walked up and pushed Cooper away, "Are you crazy?"
"Yolanda, are you alright?" He immediately turned back and looked at Yolanda with concern.
Yolanda shook her head gently, "I’m fine."
Noah saw her slightly reddened chin and turned his head to continue questioning Cooper, "What on earth are you going crazy over here?"
"Am I going crazy?" Cooper let out a low chuckle, "Who’s really the one going mad? Is it me or is it you, the elder brother who’s so eager to raise his younger brother’s child?"
Noah’s face turned pale in an instant, at a loss for words, completely unsure of what to say.
Yolanda tugged at his shirt from behind, stepped forward, and shielded Noah behind her, "Cooper, stop talking nonsense. Are you so obsessed with the child that you’ve gone mad? For the last time, the child in my stomach is my elder brother’s, it has nothing to do with you, so please don’t flatter yourself."
In that moment, Noah’s heart sank, thinking that Yolanda had told Cooper the truth, but thankfully that wasn’t the case. He breathed a sigh of relief.
"Let’s forget it, Yolanda, let’s take the pictures another day," Noah didn’t want to keep arguing.
"Why should we?" Yolanda knew Noah was feeling guilty, but the more he felt that way, the more she refused to give in, "We already agreed, and I’ve already chosen."
She sat down and randomly picked a photo with a child’s father in it, "Elder brother, let’s go with this set, I really like it."
Noah was stunned; although he came, he had no expectations of taking a photo with Yolanda.
He looked at Yolanda with disbelief.
"Big brother, do you like it?" Yolanda Greenwood blinked at him rapidly, "Maybe we can choose one together?"
"Yolanda Greenwood!" Cooper Coldson nearly roared, "Don’t test my limits, if you..."
Just at that moment, Melissa Greenwood, who had changed into another set of clothes, finally realized that Cooper wasn’t there. She ran out holding up her wedding dress. "Cooper, why are you here? I’ve changed my clothes; do you think they look good?"
Cooper didn’t even turn his head to glance at her; he continued glaring at Yolanda Greenwood.
"Cooper?" Melissa, undeterred, tentatively called out again.
Cooper forcefully yanked off his tie and threw it on the ground. "Melissa, there’s an emergency at my company, we won’t be shooting today."
He didn’t even bother to take off the photo studio’s clothes before he strode outside.
Seeing this, Ruby hurriedly followed, "Mr. Coldson, your suit..."
"I’ll buy it!" Cooper turned back and yelled at her, then left without looking back.
The entire photo studio fell deadly silent.
Noah Coldson was the first to snap out of it, looking at Yolanda Greenwood he asked, "Yolanda, shall we still shoot?"
"Sure." Yolanda glanced at the pale-faced Melissa Greenwood, feeling not even a shred of schadenfreude, she actually thought this woman was even more pitiful than herself.
She bowed her head and continued to flip through the sample book, "I’ll pick another."
"Okay." Noah sat down beside her.
Melissa Greenwood dropped the hem of the gown she was holding and stood there at a loss.
What on earth had she done wrong, why did Cooper Coldson have to hurt her so mercilessly, over and over?
"Miss Greenwood," Ruby was terrified, but had no choice but to ask cautiously, "Miss Greenwood, are you still shooting today?"
"Shoot what?" Melissa asked her viciously, "Are you blind? Didn’t you see the groom has already left, what am I supposed to shoot?"
"I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, Miss Greenwood." Ruby apologized frantically, her eyes red.
Furious, Melissa walked up to Yolanda Greenwood and asked coldly, "Are you satisfied now?"
Yolanda didn’t even lift her head, "I don’t know what you’re talking about."
"Just because of you, Cooper left, and now my wedding photoshoot is ruined again, Yolanda, are you satisfied now?" Melissa roared at her, "Yolanda, are you feeling very smug now? Thinking you’re very charming? Huh?"
Yolanda let out a sigh and lifted her head, "Melissa Greenwood, get it straight, it’s no use getting angry at me for Cooper leaving."
She stood up to meet Melissa eye to eye, "It’s you who couldn’t keep him. Melissa Greenwood, if I were you, I would have rethought our relationship the first time he ran away from the wedding."
"You’re talking nonsense, without you, Cooper wouldn’t keep running away from the wedding, and he wouldn’t have left me like this today," Melissa choked out.
"Is that so?" Yolanda shook her head with a smile, "If you want to think that way, there’s nothing I can do about it."
She sat back down and, pointing at a style in the sample book, told Smith, "I’ll shoot this one."
"Miss Greenwood," Smith glanced at the chosen style and gently reminded her, "With this styling, the father of your child might not be able to participate in the shoot."
Yolanda tugged the corner of her mouth, "It doesn’t matter, I’ll shoot alone."
