Chapter 290: Chapter 290 Pregnancy Portraits and Wedding Photos
Yolanda Greenwood and Lola Gold went to see Dr. Hall.
After a simple checkup for Yolanda, Dr. Hall finally breathed a sigh of relief, "That’s good, there isn’t any major problem."
She looked at them reproachfully, "Yolanda is already in the late stages of pregnancy, but you still have to be careful. What if there’s a premature birth?"
"I’m sorry, Dr. Hall, I will definitely be more careful in the future," Yolanda said somewhat embarrassedly.
With a hint of helplessness, Dr. Hall shook her head, "You don’t have to apologize to me; if something really happens, you’re apologizing to yourself."
She then asked concernedly about Lola’s recent condition and, seeing Lola’s nonchalant responses, could vaguely guess what was going on.
Before the two left, she instructed Yolanda, "Take good care of her. It’s already a miracle that her body can conceive. If it really came to termination, well..."
"I understand, thank you, Dr. Hall," Yolanda replied as she and Lola left together.
No sooner had the two left than Christopher Coldson swiftly arrived.
"Mr. Coldson," Dr. Hall said with respect, since Christopher was also a member of the Coldson Family. "Is there something the matter?"
Christopher let out a light sigh, "Dr. Hall, I want to ask you, that girl named Lola Gold, is she pregnant?"
"Mr. Coldson, are you Lola Gold’s..." Dr. Hall started.
Christopher shook his head, "I’m not her family, just a friend, I guess."
"If you’re not a family member, I can’t disclose the patient’s condition," Dr. Hall said apologetically.
"Alright, I understand," Christopher stood up, "If she’s your patient, then that means she really is pregnant."
Dr. Hall, feeling mentally exhausted, just shook her head.
After Christopher had left, she immediately sent a message to Yolanda, [Christopher Coldson just came by, he knows about Lola Gold’s pregnancy.]
[Okay, thank you, Dr. Hall.]
Yolanda looked at Lola happily, "Guess who went to see Dr. Hall?"
Lola, tired, weakly shook her head.
"Christopher," Yolanda showed Lola the message from Dr. Hall, "See, Uncle Cooper still believed your words. Now that he knows you’re pregnant, he will surely come to apologize to you soon."
Lola snorted dismissively, "An apology is useless; I won’t forgive him."
Yolanda shrugged, knowing that nothing she said now would make a difference. This time Christopher would definitely be in for it, but at least the baby might not have to be terminated.
However, much to Yolanda’s surprise, Christopher had not contacted Lola even by bedtime.
"Maybe Uncle Cooper..." Yolanda started.
"Enough," Lola didn’t want to talk about him anymore. "Starting today, we will not mention him, or else, I won’t let it go."
In the following days, as Lola’s complexion grew worse, Yolanda understood that Christopher had not been in touch with Lola.
Why, though? Since he knew Lola was pregnant, why hadn’t he reached out to her?
Yolanda could not figure it out and secretly called Christopher, but he wouldn’t take her calls or respond to her messages.
Furious, she finally sent him a message, [Christopher Coldson, just wait, you will regret this someday!]
Noah Coldson and Adam Sterling came by from time to time, and seeing both women so dejected, tried different ways to cheer them up.
That day, Noah discovered something interesting and rushed over in the afternoon.
"Maternity photoshoots?" Yolanda exclaimed in surprise with wide eyes. She hadn’t expected Noah to pay attention to such things.
Lola flipped through the magazine Noah brought and nodded, "I think it’s nice, pretty good. Yolanda, you should give it a try."
She knew her problems had been affecting Yolanda’s mood recently, and if going for a maternity photoshoot could ease their spirits, it seemed worthwhile.
Yolanda hesitated as she looked at them both, not too keen on the idea, "Let’s not, it’s better to take photos of the baby after the birth."
"How can that be?" Lola disagreed, "Right now is about documenting your life. I warn you, Yolanda, even as a mother, you can’t forget about yourself completely."
She turned to Noah, "I support big brother’s idea; you definitely have to do it."
"Go for it, it’s indeed a memento, and later you can show it to your children," Noah said, looking at Yolanda expectantly.
Remembering the last time she turned down the award, Yolanda felt awkward refusing Noah’s kindness again, knowing that he wanted to make her happy.
She quickly nodded, "Alright then, Lola, come with me, and we can also take some best friend pictures."
"Sure," Lola agreed cheerfully, then said to Noah, "You come too, to help out with some ideas."
Noah subconsciously looked at Yolanda, aware that a maternity shoot was sensitive and his presence would essentially put him in the role of the baby’s father.
Yolanda forced a smile, "If big brother has time, then let’s go together."
"Great, I’ll make a call to book right now; we should be able to go tomorrow," Noah said happily as he immediately went to make the call.
What they didn’t know was that on the other side, Melissa Greenwood had also seen the advertisement for the photo studio in the magazine.
Previously, Cooper Coldson had half-heartedly joined her for a few wedding shots, not enough to make an album. Now, worried Cooper might change his mind, she thought that dragging him to a full wedding photoshoot might lessen the chance of him reconsidering.
Therefore, at dinner, she took Little May along to see Cooper.
During the meal, she casually suggested, "Cooper, let’s go take a set of wedding photos."
"Haven’t we already taken some?" Cooper didn’t look up, clearly uninterested.
"Those were just for the wedding," Melissa said with a hint of sadness. "I want to take a set as a keepsake, for our own collection."
"There’s no need," Cooper declined coldly.
Melissa immediately pinched Little May sitting beside her.
"Uncle Coldson, let’s take a set," Little May immediately pleaded with Cooper, "I haven’t taken a family photo with May yet."
Blinking her large eyes, she assured Cooper, "Uncle Coldson, these photos can be taken quickly; it won’t take much of your time."
"Cooper, let’s go," Melissa seized the opportunity to speak again. "I’ve already made the appointment, for tomorrow; we should be done in the morning."
"Uncle Coldson, please agree," Little May rubbed her little hands together, looking imploringly.
In the end, Cooper nodded, "Alright."
After all, his marriage to Melissa wasn’t really in question, and it was his duty to go along with the photoshoot.
Most importantly, he truly didn’t want to disappoint Little May.
This child... will really be his little princess in the future.
The next day, Yolanda and Lola dragged their feet a bit, leaving the house late. On the road, Noah was clearly excited.
Lola also tried to pick up her spirits, "I looked at several styles. Yolanda, why don’t you try this one? I think it’s the prettiest."
"Okay," Yolanda looked at it and smiled, nodding her head.
Upon reaching the place, Noah went to park while Yolanda and Lola entered the shop first.
The moment they opened the door, they saw a couple in their wedding attire; the woman was adjusting the man’s tie.
