Chapter 252: Chapter 252: We’ll Get Married As Soon As You Guys Get Divorced

On the road, Yolanda Greenwood kept silent, her head down, appearing deeply troubled.

Cooper Coldson noticed and hesitated for a moment before he could speak, but then he heard Noah Coldson interrupt from beside him,

"Yolanda, don’t worry, Little Wood will be fine."

Yolanda turned her head, her eyes red, "Big brother, I’m thinking about Little Maria."

She could no longer control her emotions and gently leaned on Noah’s shoulder, sobbing softly.

She was afraid that Little Wood would end up like Maria, ultimately beyond rescue.

Noah’s body stiffened for a moment, and then he realized and looked at Cooper, "Did you tell her about Little Maria?"

Cooper, watching Yolanda lean on Noah, felt his rage spiking, barely hearing Noah’s words.

He yanked Yolanda up, his voice cold, "I said tears won’t solve any problems."

Yolanda, jerked painfully, turned her head in confusion and said, "Let go, you’re hurting me."

"Cooper, what are you doing?" Noah frowned, "By your logic, no emotions solve problems, so what are you upset about?"

Being struck at the heart, Cooper’s face turned extremely sour, "Stop the car!"

He felt utterly powerless at that moment.

Ever since he was prepared to take up the position of the Family Head, Isabella Ross had told him emotions were the most useless things, incapable of changing anything.

But now, he was just that person, raging helplessly!

Richard Reyes hurriedly parked the car to the roadside, his back soaked with cold sweat.

"Get out!" Cooper spoke again; the two beside him didn’t need his help, and he had no reason to keep them around to aggravate himself.

"Cooper!" Noah sounded a bit angry.

"Forget it," Yolanda didn’t want to see them arguing, "We can take a cab ourselves."

We? A significant we!

"Get out now!" Cooper couldn’t bear it anymore.

Noah shook his head and followed Yolanda out of the car, one after the other; he still wanted to say something, but Cooper immediately closed the door, and the car sped away.

"Ah!" Noah sighed, quickly hailed another cab, and left with Yolanda.

Cooper in the car, watching them get into the taxi, then withdrew his gaze and coldly looked out the window.

Richard glanced at Cooper through the rearview mirror, cautiously speaking, "President, pushing Miss Yolanda away like this will only drive her further away."

"Hmph, haven’t seen you in a few days, and now Assistant Reyes wants to provide emotional support?" Cooper remarked sarcastically.

Richard immediately shrank his neck, not daring to speak further.

After dropping Yolanda off, Noah went back to the old house, not expecting Cooper to be there too.

Cooper seemed to be waiting deliberately for him; seeing him return, he got up prepared to leave.

"Wait a moment!" Noah called out to him.

Cooper turned back, his expression unfriendly, "What now? Big brother still wants to lecture me?"

"What’s going on with you two brothers?" Isabella Ross also stood up, "Always arguing whenever you meet, is it really that interesting?"

Noah stepped forward, took out his phone, and transferred fifty thousand to Cooper, "For the plane ticket."

Cooper paused, realizing Noah was repaying the plane ticket money for Yolanda, his grip on the phone tightened, "Not needed."

He refused it and continued upstairs.

"Cooper," Noah spoke again, "Tomorrow morning, go and get the divorce certificate with Yolanda... We’re getting married."

Cooper’s steps halted for a moment, his chest feeling tight; after pausing, he quickly went upstairs.

Meanwhile, Yolanda and Lola Gold had finished washing up and were now lying in the same bed.

Separated for too long, the two had endless topics to talk about.

Yolanda talked a lot about her experiences in the U.S. and what she learned at Tala, feeling this trip was worth it.

Lola mostly nodded, intermittently congratulating Yolanda, also reminding her not to overwork.

"Lola, how have you been lately?" In the U.S., at first, Yolanda could often make video calls back home, but later as she got busier, the calls became infrequent.

Even when they had time to talk, it was mostly Yolanda speaking and Lola listening.

"I’ve been quite good," Lola smiled and gently placed a hand on Yolanda’s belly.

Yolanda noticed that since she had met Lola, she had always seemed hesitant to speak, clearly there was something Lola was unsure about telling her.

She didn’t pressure her, giving Lola enough time to think.

"By the way, are you really going to get the divorce certificate with Cooper tomorrow?"

"Yes." Coming back today, too much had occurred, causing Yolanda to forget about the certificate ceremony tomorrow.

Reminded by Lola, she quickly sent a message to Cooper.

[At the Civil Affairs Office at 9 am tomorrow, don’t forget!]

"Really decided?" Lola asked again, concerned, "Actually, if you tell the truth, Cooper probably wouldn’t agree to the divorce."

"Decided!" Yolanda was resolute, "No matter what he thinks, I just want to divorce now."

"That’s fair. He deserves it for not trusting you," Lola spoke angrily, "But it’s unfair to Melissa Greenwood; I’m not really happy about that."

Yolanda replied emotionlessly, "Is marrying Cooper under these circumstances really a good thing?"

Lola paused for a moment, then quickly realized, "True, I’m quite looking forward to seeing how Melissa Greenwood would cope if Cooper ever uncovered the truth."

Yolanda remained indifferent.

She just hoped everything would go smoothly, that Melissa Greenwood could properly take care of Little May, that Brooks Parker could go to rehab and reform, that Little Wood’s illness might find some turning point... and of course, that the two children in her womb could safely come into this world.

The next morning, Yolanda got ready early, prepared to leave.

"Really don’t need me to come with you?"

"It’s just a divorce, not a joyous occasion, no need for a grand gesture," Yolanda repeatedly refused.

Noah had called in the morning to ask if she needed a pickup, which she also declined.

She just wanted a quiet divorce.

Upon arriving at the Civil Affairs Office, five minutes before the appointment, the place was already crowded.

An employee, seeing Yolanda’s pregnant belly, promptly opened an express lane for her to go in first.

"Why are you alone? Where’s your boyfriend?" The sister clearly misunderstood, thinking Yolanda was there to get married.

Yolanda forced a smile, "My husband, more precisely, soon-to-be ex-husband, should be on his way."

The sister’s expression changed, observing Yolanda’s face and then her belly.

Divorce during pregnancy could only mean a strong desire from the woman.

She sighed deeply, "Any serious conflicts? Life is tough nowadays, and it’s even harder for a woman to raise a child alone, not to mention you’re pregnant and the next two to three years will be very difficult."

Yolanda forced a smile, "I’m prepared."
