Chapter 204: Cooper Coldson Elopses Again for Yolanda Greenwood

Chapter 204: Chapter 204: Cooper Coldson Elopses Again for Yolanda Greenwood

In the hospital ward, the moment Lola Gold woke up, she heard voices coming from the doorway.

It was Yolanda Greenwood and Adam Sterling returning.

Lola Gold saw the man with the gun hiding behind the door; her entire body was bound and something stuffed in her mouth rendered her speechless.

She was panicking but no matter what, she couldn’t break free.

The man wielding the gun glared at her viciously. If she got loose, he would probably blow her away with one shot.

Soon, the door opened, and Adam Sterling, pushing a wheelchair, instantly saw Lola Gold tied up.

Lola Gold looked at Yolanda Greenwood and shook her head desperately.

Adam Sterling reacted incredibly quickly; he immediately stepped in front of the wheelchair, shielding Yolanda Greenwood with his body, and said in a hushed, urgent voice, "Noah Coldson!"

The next instant, a gun was pointed at his head.

Yolanda Greenwood trembled all over in fright, but she heard Adam Sterling’s words.

She shakily took out her phone, just about to make a call, when Cooper Coldson’s call came in.

"Move!" a stranger’s voice erupted.

The voice sent chills down the spine without even being cold.

Time was running out, and Yolanda Greenwood could only answer the call and quickly turned the volume to the max, then slipped the phone into her pocket.

On the other end, as soon as Cooper Coldson saw that the call was answered, his heart clenched.

He had never been so anxious before.

But after waiting a moment, he heard no familiar voice on the other end.

He couldn’t help but let out a rueful laugh and took the initiative to speak, "Yolanda Greenwood, I know you don’t want to talk to me, and I don’t know why I’m making this call."

All that could be heard on the other end were loud rustling noises, somewhat grating to the ears.

"Yolanda Greenwood, what are you doing?" Cooper Coldson asked, puzzled, but there was still no response.

"Yolanda Greenwood, if you don’t want to speak, then just listen to me," he inhaled deeply, "I’ll say this only once, so listen carefully."

"Yolanda Greenwood, I think... I might have fallen in love with you," he couldn’t hide the urgency in his voice, "But don’t get me wrong, I’m about to marry Melissa soon, I just feel... at least I’m still single now, and I have the right to express my feelings."

The noise on the other side seemed to grow louder, but still no sign of Yolanda Greenwood speaking.

Cooper Coldson became increasingly baffled, "Aren’t you going to say something? Even rejection is fine, or scorn and mockery, just like how I used to treat you. Won’t you even try?"

He waited in silence when suddenly, a loud ’bang’ nearly pierced his ear.

"Yolanda Greenwood? Are you listening? What’s happening over there?" Cooper Coldson finally realized something was wrong, "Yolanda Greenwood? Say something!"

The noises grew louder, and it seemed like there was a woman softly crying.

Cooper Coldson swiftly headed out, practically running, "Yolanda Greenwood, don’t panic, I’m on my way."

The auspicious time was nearing, and when people saw Cooper Coldson rush out ahead of time, they were all curious.

Cooper Coldson had no time to mind anyone else, he kept talking on the phone, and went straight to find Noah Coldson, "Where is Yolanda Greenwood?"

Noah Coldson frowned.

Isabella Ross nearby was clearly discontent, "Cooper, what do you think you’re doing? This is your wedding venue with Melissa, what in the world are you trying to do?"

"Is Yolanda Greenwood still at the hospital?" Cooper Coldson ignored Isabella Ross.

Seeing Noah Coldson’s hesitant expression, he handed over the phone, "Where the hell is she? Something might have happened to her!"

Noah Coldson took the phone, listened, and his expression changed drastically; he turned and dashed outside.

Cooper Coldson wanted to follow, but Isabella Ross forcefully grabbed him.

"Cooper, do you want to drive Melissa to her death?" she asked coldly, "No matter what happened to Yolanda Greenwood, Noah is on his way; you stay here!"

"I can’t!" Cooper Coldson almost reflexively rejected her, pulling away Isabella Ross’ hand, "Mom, apologize to Melissa for me, but I have to go."

Isabella Ross slumped back into her chair, devoid of strength.

Christopher Coldson and Sunny Coldson were at her side the whole time.

"Hah," Christopher Coldson spread his hands with a mockingly insincere smile, "What do you know? The ones who seem least likely to cause trouble are always brewing a storm."

He turned to the crowd and gestured, "Disperse, all of you disperse. There will be no wedding banquet here... not a chance for you to drink to it."

The crowd looked at one another in confusion, some wanted to go forward to console Isabella Ross, but seeing her grim expression, they eventually left.

"I’ll go speak to Melissa," Sunny Coldson offered.

Christopher Coldson glanced disapprovingly at her, "Keep your distance from that woman."

"I know," Sunny Coldson looked at Isabella Ross, who had her eyes closed, indicating she surely wouldn’t be the one to apologize to Melissa Greenwood.

Christopher Coldson nodded.

By now, it was the auspicious time, but Melissa Greenwood in the makeup room heard no one calling for her, which made her uneasy.

Wendy Bennett and Athena White also found it strange – the larger the family, the more importance they placed on the auspicious time, so why was no one coming?

"Shall I go take a look?" Wendy Bennett offered as she stood up.

"No need," Melissa Greenwood answered harshly, "I’m the bride and even I’m not in a hurry, why are you?"

Wendy Bennett was rebuked for nothing and sat back down, fuming.

Then, there came a knock at the door.

"They’re here," Melissa Greenwood brightened up, the storm on her face dispersing instantaneously.

"I’ll get the door," Wendy Bennett stood up again, trying to be ingratiating, and went to open the door. But when she saw who it was, she was taken aback, "Why is it you?"

She craned her neck to see, but there was nobody behind Sunny Coldson.

Ignoring Wendy Bennett, a minor character in her eyes, Sunny Coldson walked straight in.

Seeing Sunny Coldson’s arrival, Melissa Greenwood immediately stood up, her gaze filled with resentment.

"Cooper has run off." Sunny Coldson got straight to the point.

Melissa Greenwood’s eyes reddened in an instant; she struggled to hold back tears, her entire being trembling.

"It must have been Yolanda Greenwood calling him, saying she was in danger," Sunny Coldson said with a shake of her head and a smile, "It’s rather funny. Is she some sort of national treasure? Why is there always someone out to get her?"

Melissa Greenwood said nothing. Her heart was tearing up; she loathed Yolanda Greenwood, and despised Cooper too.

Once could have been overlooked, but a second time? What did Cooper think of her? A clown he could toy with at his leisure?

And Yolanda Greenwood – she would make sure that upon her return, she would get rid of Jaxon Greenwood and make Yolanda regret it for the rest of her life.

"Don’t blame Cooper," Sunny Coldson clearly saw through Melissa Greenwood’s thoughts, "You know how men are, always coming running when you wave them over. And someone like Yolanda Greenwood, with her and her friend’s way with men, they’re too effective."

Melissa Greenwood forced herself to calm down, and in one swift move, she tore off the veil from her head.

Sunny Coldson’s eyes scanned the room and finally settled on a fruit knife. She glanced at the knife, then back at Melissa Greenwood.

"Melissa, please see reason and don’t do anything foolish. The Coldson Family is at fault here, and we will surely compensate you."

Sunny Coldson turned to look at Wendy Bennett and Athena White, "You’re her close friends, right? Please take good care of her for me."
