Chapter 190: Chapter 190: I Can Accuse You of Marital Rape

Yolanda Greenwood couldn’t resist; she glared at Cooper Coldson with indignation.

Cooper had already been moved and, with his eyes closed, wanted to take more, but he faintly felt a gaze upon him.

He slowly opened his eyes and saw Yolanda bitterly holding back tears, her eyes full of humiliation and resentment.

In an instant, he snapped back to reality, released her, and took a step back.

Since when had she started... despising him so much?

At that moment, Noah Coldson suddenly burst through the door and, seeing Yolanda’s condition, he violently punched Cooper, shouting, "You beast!"

Cooper staggered, nearly falling over, and wiped the corner of his mouth with his thumb, noticing blood.

"Are you okay?" Noah moved to support Yolanda.

Yolanda shook her head, her eyes burning with anger as she looked toward Cooper, "Remember this, it’s the last time. Even if we aren’t divorced yet next time, I might still report you for marital rape!"

"Cooper, you really went too far this time!" Noah Coldson coldly stated.

Cooper stood still, his gaze sweeping over the two faces before him. At this moment, the two people who once cared about him the most were together, regarding him as a mortal enemy.

His heart felt like it had been carved out, causing him pain so intense he struggled to breathe.

He took another step back, slightly bowed his head, wanted to apologize but couldn’t find the words, so he simply turned and walked away.

When he left, Yolanda’s body went limp, completely drained of strength.

"Yolanda? Are you feeling unwell?" Noah became frightened.

"I’m fine; I just need to sit for a while," Yolanda sniffled, feeling an unprecedented sadness.

But what exactly she was sad about, she couldn’t clearly define.

"Grandfather is awake; do you want to go now?" Noah, having just finished bathing, knew Old Master Coldson had woken up but hadn’t seen Yolanda.

"Okay." Thinking of Old Master Coldson, Yolanda immediately gathered some strength.

She went to the bathroom to wash her face, ensuring she looked fine before heading to Old Master Coldson’s room.

"Grandfather, you’re awake?" She dashed into the room and flung herself into Old Master Coldson’s arms.

Old Master Coldson’s eyes reddened with surprise and happiness, and he fondled Yolanda’s head, overjoyed, "Yolanda and I truly have a heart-to-heart. I was just thinking about when you might come, and unexpectedly, my dream came true when I woke up."

Now, Old Master Coldson’s condition was not optimistic, hardly able to leave his bed with various medical devices around him, which was frightening to see.

"If grandfather misses me, you can tell my brother or Aunt Ross, and I can come any time," Yolanda looked up, her voice somewhat choked.

"Aunt Ross?" Old Master Coldson repeated before remembering Yolanda was referring to Isabella Ross.

He smiled, "Yes, Isabella mentioned a few times asking me to call you over, but I was worried about affecting Yolanda’s earnings."

"Grandfather, if you miss Yolanda, just give her a call," Yolanda cooed.

Gemma Morgan was gone, and now the only person who could allow her to revert to being a child was Old Master Coldson.

She couldn’t imagine, if Old Master Coldson was also gone, then she... would have to be an adult forever.

"Alright, then maybe Yolanda will need to move back here since grandfather thinks about Yolanda every day," Old Master Coldson joked and then laughed.

"As long as grandfather is healthy and lives a long life, Yolanda can do anything," Yolanda ensured his blanket was well placed.

Old Master Coldson frowned slightly, "Speaking of which, it’s strange; your Aunt Ross seems very keen on you recently, her attitude has changed a lot."

"Perhaps she believes I will really divorce Cooper, so she no longer needs to target me," Yolanda said with a bitter smile.

"Grandfather doesn’t think it’s just that," but Old Master Coldson couldn’t think of any other reason.

He looked at Yolanda with a loving expression, knowing his days were numbered, and this might be the last time he and his granddaughter would see each other.

In fact, in this world, the people he was most concerned about and saddened for were Cooper and Yolanda.

Especially Yolanda.

Cooper at least had a lot of money, Isabella, Noah, and even many flattering people to care for and love him.

Yet his Yolanda had to work hard to earn a lot of money, and most importantly, she had very few relatives who cared about her.

"Yolanda, you’ve lost weight recently; is work tiring? Has anyone been bullying you?"

Yolanda shook her head and playfully lied, "I’ve been dieting recently, so I lost a little weight."

"Nonsense!" The old man instantly frowned, "You’re already so thin, what are you dieting for?"

"Hehe, grandpa, I was just teasing you," Yolanda quickly changed her tone, not wanting to upset the old man, "Maybe I’ve been a little busy recently, so I lost some weight, but don’t worry, grandpa, I’ll gain it back soon. Next time we meet, I’ll definitely have gained a few pounds."

"Pinkie promise?" The old man, childlike, extended his little finger.

Yolanda, amused, played along with the old man, linking little fingers, "Whoever lies is a puppy."

Old Master Coldson smiled contentedly.

"Yolanda, grandpa wants to ask you, what do you think about Noah?"

"My brother?" Yolanda instantly understood what the old man meant, "Grandpa, my brother and I... are just relatives; there’s nothing else."

"No good?" Old Master Coldson was visibly disappointed.

If Yolanda could be with Noah, he would feel more reassured.

"Grandpa, don’t worry, I can do well on my own, and I have a very good friend who will always be with me."

Old Master Coldson sighed deeply, "But your friend will eventually get married, start a family, and live her own life. Yolanda, in this life, apart from a spouse, no one will always be with you."

Mentioning a spouse, Old Master Coldson seemed a bit sorrowful. In his youth, he was always busy, giving little care to his children or wife.

Later he handed over the role of Family Head, and though Isabella urged him to remarry, he did not agree.

At that time, he just felt he had just started enjoying life and did not want someone restricting him.

But now?

He often imagined having someone sitting by his bed, occasionally talking to him.

This room was just too quiet.

"Grandpa, is it that they’re too busy? No time to accompany you?" Yolanda faintly sensed the old man’s mood.

Old Master Coldson shook his head, "Isabella comes every day, and Noah and Little Noah come when they can, but it’s not the same, Yolanda, it’s not the same."

They respected him, but he couldn’t selfishly monopolize too much of their time.

"Actually, it’s nothing; Yolanda, grandpa is only hoping you can find someone you can rely on," Old Master Coldson stroked Yolanda’s head, "If you can’t, then he hopes his Yolanda will become a great tree, holding up her own sky!"
