Chapter 182: Chapter 182 Cooper Coldson Receives the DNA Test Report

"Don’t worry, Yolanda... Yolanda is still alright," Noah Coldson hesitated as he spoke, since Yolanda’s condition was really not good.

"What exactly happened? Does she... know about my situation?" Lola Gold asked anxiously.

Noah shook his head. "She couldn’t reach you yesterday and guessed you might be in trouble."

He paused, looking at Lola Gold with unspoken words.

"Hurry up, brother, are you trying to kill me with anxiety?"

Noah sighed deeply. "Yolanda now... she’s started to harm herself."

"How could this happen?" Lola’s eyes instantly reddened. "What should we do? Can we do something? We have to help her!"

She was on the verge of crying.

"Lola, don’t worry, Adam Sterling, our best psychologist, is currently with Yolanda."

Sometimes Noah thought that Yolanda and Lola were quite fortunate because their relationship was better than any biological sisters.

"That’s good, that’s good," Lola breathed a sigh of relief, muttering to herself, "My situation, I must never let her know, never."

"Lola, do you have any way to get Yolanda to start painting again?" Noah relayed Adam’s words. "It’s mainly about restoring her confidence."

"Confidence?" Lola quickly thought of something. "Right, the annual grand show, Tala’s international show, is starting soon."

Noah was quite puzzled about these matters.

"This show will feature Yolanda’s works; we will attend it with her."

"Okay."

After they agreed, Lola suggested visiting Yolanda since she couldn’t stream for the next few days anyway.

"Can you do it now?" Noah was worried because, not to mention other things, Lola’s face was bruised, which looked quite frightening.

Lola forced a bitter smile. "Just say I was in a car accident last night."

After saying this, she quickly lowered her head.

Her experience last night, along with what Ethan Taylor and Christopher Coldson had done, made her feel that even a car accident would have been better.

Noah hesitated for a moment but agreed after all since it would be good for Yolanda if Lola could go.

Then, they called the camp to reassure Yolanda, and proceeded with the discharge procedures.

Meanwhile, in another hospital room, due to Melissa Greenwood’s terrible condition, Cooper Coldson even brought his work to the hospital room.

"Cooper, will you still marry me?" Melissa asked almost every day, trying to get Cooper to confirm the wedding date.

Cooper felt some resistance, but fearing stimulating Melissa, he could only evade the question.

"Melissa, you need to recover first," Cooper said as he saw the psychologist coming. "Okay, your cooperation with the treatment is important. I’m going outside for some air."

The so-called psychologist was actually bribed by Melissa—Dr. Samuel Spencer.

As Cooper left, Melissa’s face revealed an angry expression. She knew Cooper was delaying things, but if it dragged on, she felt that something untoward could happen.

"Later, tell him my condition is very serious, and he should marry me soon."

"Miss Greenwood, do you really want to marry him that much?" Dr. Spencer spoke in a somewhat frivolous tone. "You are so beautiful, and the Greenwood Family is rich; why bother?"

Melissa looked at him disdainfully. "Dr. Spencer, you’re considered a leading psychologist in Gray City. Is that all the insight you have?"

"I find it regrettable for you," Dr. Spencer clicked his tongue. "A woman is like a flower; the more beautiful the flower, the shorter its blooming period. To let yourself go unnoticed like this is simply a waste."

Melissa didn’t speak. She knew what dirty thoughts Dr. Spencer harbored.

Just a little psychologist, seeking to have an affair with her, was simply a toad lusting after swan meat.

But Dr. Spencer had a point; Cooper had never touched her, which was truly a waste. And she... should she continue to wait in suffering?

"Miss Greenwood," seeing Melissa not speaking, Dr. Spencer grew bolder, stepping forward to lift her chin. "I wouldn’t mind tasting your flower on behalf of Young Master Coldson."

"Remove your filthy hands!" Melissa slapped Dr. Spencer’s hand away. "Mind your own business."

Dr. Spencer grinned, not saddened by the harsh rejection, but rather appeared confident.

"Right, also tell Jaxon Greenwood to put in some effort," Melissa thought resentfully. Jaxon had been busy recently, making fewer hospital visits.

But after all, he occupied her father’s position and could also pressure Cooper.

Having said what needed to be said, Melissa no longer bothered with Dr. Spencer. She went to the bedside and saw Cooper and Richard Reyes talking in the small garden downstairs.

Just sitting there, the man was irresistibly captivating.

Thinking of being held by him one day, Melissa’s heart itched uncontrollably, feeling an unbearable burning sensation.

Downstairs, Richard Reyes had already received the DNA paternity report of Melissa and Jaxon, handing it over to Cooper.

He didn’t expect that Melissa was not Jaxon’s daughter.

Cooper looked at the report, silent.

"President," Richard started cautiously, "Could it be that Gemma Morgan betrayed Patriarch Greenwood before? But I remember, they have always been seen as a model couple in the social circles. And Gemma... she really doesn’t seem like it."

Cooper tore up the report, instructing coldly, "Do another for Yolanda and Jaxon."

"What?" Richard was shocked.

Cooper’s expression was somber, a bad suspicion surfacing in his mind.

Richard spoke again, "President, we’ve lost contact with Miss Yolanda again. I’m afraid, your brother has taken her away again."

Cooper clenched the crumpled paper tightly in his hand.

Richard, frightened, hardly dared to breathe.

"Check Melissa and Eliana Reed!" Cooper stood, throwing the report into the trash.

"Yes." With things having come to this point, Richard could guess something. If all of this were true, he really couldn’t imagine the consequences it could cause.

Most importantly, among the involved parties, did some know? Were some always kept in the dark?

After Richard left, Cooper sat downstairs. Evidently, the curiosity Richard harbored, he harbored as well.

If, from the beginning, Melissa and Eliana were acquainted, and Yolanda and Gemma, among others, were kept in the dark, then...

Cooper dared not think further, feeling an unprecedented tightness in his chest.

"Young Master!" After an unknown amount of time, Dr. Spencer came down.

"Is it over?" Cooper asked indifferently, getting ready to go upstairs.

"Yes, Young Master, please hold on," Dr. Spencer sighed softly. "Miss Greenwood is not in a good state. It would be best if you could pay more attention to her."

He didn’t mention marriage.

Moreover, he could sense that Cooper’s patience was wearing thin. If Melissa continued to play her role, it was likely to backfire.

Indeed, Cooper said nothing and turned away.
