Chapter 169 Yolanda Greenwood Must Stop This Wedding

Chapter 169: Chapter 169 Yolanda Greenwood Must Stop This Wedding

Eliana Reed found the bride’s makeup room when there were only about ten minutes left until the auspicious time.

Melissa Greenwood was already prepared, her pure white wedding dress adorned with diamonds, and the jewelry she wore alone was worth twenty million.

"Melissa," Eliana began with tears in her eyes, her daughter had finally made it through, "Mom congratulates you."

Today, Melissa Greenwood was also happier than she had ever been before; she had sent everyone else out, leaving only herself and Eliana.

She moved forward and gently hugged Eliana; without Eliana’s help, she would have had a much harder time getting to this day.

"Mom, I will take good care of you in the future, I’ll buy you a big house, luxury cars, and designer bags."

"Good, you really are Mom’s good daughter, I haven’t cherished you for nothing," Eliana sniffed, "Alright, it’s almost the auspicious time; we should head out."

Melissa nodded, and when she let go of Eliana, she noticed a mark on Eliana’s face.

Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be a handprint, "Mom, what happened to your face?"

"Ah? Is my makeup smeared?" Eliana gritted her teeth, "That little bitch Yolanda Greenwood showed up and hit me, but it’s nothing, I made her pass out from anger."

A bad premonition rose in Melissa’s heart, "What did she come for? What did you say to her?"

"I didn’t say much." Eliana lowered her voice, "But that girl guessed that Gemma Morgan’s death had something to do with you."

"Are you insane?" Melissa frowned, "Eliana, do you know what day it is today? When would have been a bad time to provoke her, why pick today?"

"So what? What are you afraid she’ll do?" Eliana looked unconcerned, "In another ten minutes, you’ll be married to Cooper Coldson, what turmoil can she possibly stir up?"

"I can’t believe you!" Melissa felt increasingly uneasy.

"No, go out and check, she cannot be allowed to appear at the wedding ceremony," she had a premonition that Yolanda Greenwood showing up was not just to watch her marry Cooper Coldson.

Reluctantly, Eliana said, "I wanted to watch you and Cooper exchange rings."

"Go now!" Melissa pushed her, "Remember, she must not appear at the wedding ceremony no matter what."

"I got it, I got it." Though Eliana was reluctant, she had no choice but to quickly go find someone at this time.

Yolanda Greenwood left the resting room and headed towards the main venue, but the top floor of Empire Grand was huge, and she couldn’t find it after a whole round.

She had disrupted the wedding today and would inevitably become a thorn in the side of both the Coldson and Greenwood families, so she didn’t want Noah Coldson and Lola Gold to be involved.

By chance, she saw a staff member.

"Hello, could you please tell me where Mr. Cooper Coldson and Miss Melissa Greenwood’s wedding ceremony is taking place today?" Yolanda Greenwood smiled apologetically, "I’m their friend, and I got lost."

The staff member, seeing that Yolanda could accurately state the names of the bride and groom, did not suspect anything and immediately pointed the way, "Just go straight down this corridor, and at the fork, turn left and then right, and you’ll arrive."

"Okay, thank you." Yolanda hurried away.

Following the directions the staff member had given, she turned into the corridor by the first table and indeed heard the wedding march from afar.

Her heart lightened, and she quickened her steps.

"Yolanda Greenwood!" Suddenly, a familiar voice came from behind her.

Yolanda turned and saw that it was Eliana.

"Where are you going?" Eliana quickly approached, warily eyeing Yolanda.

It seemed that Melissa had guessed correctly, this little bitch Yolanda was here to cause trouble; she couldn’t let Yolanda get to the scene.

"It’s none of your business." Yolanda turned to leave.

Eliana grabbed her arm in one swift motion, "You’re not allowed to go anywhere; Melissa’s wedding does not welcome you."

"Let go of me," Yolanda struggled.

The auspicious hour had arrived, and everyone had gathered at the wedding venue, leaving the hallways empty.

Eliana’s audacity seemed to grow, and she clutched Yolanda Greenwood’s arm tightly, "Come with me, you’re not welcome here."

She dragged Yolanda away.

"Let me go! Let go of me," Yolanda struggled with all her might; she had to stop the wedding.

Eliana didn’t expect Yolanda to be so strong when she became desperate, and she was about to lose her grip.

Then, an idea struck her, "Don’t you want to know how Gemma Morgan died?"

Yolanda indeed stopped struggling.

"Come with me to that room, and I will tell you," Eliana pointed to a nearby lounge.

"Will you really tell me?" Yolanda appeared to be tempted.

"Yes, let’s go, it’s not convenient to talk here," Eliana felt extremely smug inside.

"Fine," Yolanda nodded and, growing impatient, shook her arm, "Then let go of me."

Eliana paused to think, seeing that Yolanda had taken the bait, and nonchalantly let go of Yolanda’s arm. But as soon as Yolanda was free, she turned and ran toward the venue.

"You little bitch!" Eliana was taken aback and immediately gave chase.

But because she was attending her biological daughter’s wedding today, she had worn a red cheongsam and six-centimeter heels, which made it impossible for her to catch up with Yolanda.

She watched helplessly as Yolanda charged towards the entrance of the venue.

Jaxon Greenwood was standing guard there; Melissa Greenwood had just warned him that Yolanda might come to cause trouble and instructed him to stop her at all costs.

"Yolanda, go back," Jaxon blocked the door, preventing Yolanda from entering.

"Uncle, please let me in. There are things I must ask Melissa face to face," Yolanda’s heart ached. If Jaxon knew that Melissa was responsible for Gemma’s death, would he still be blocking her?

But if she really said it out loud, would Jaxon believe her?

And even if he did, could he handle the truth?

"Yolanda, I’m begging you as your uncle, please go back," Jaxon continued to block the door, looking at Yolanda with pleading eyes.

"Stop her! Don’t let her in," Eliana shouted from afar.

"Uncle, if you don’t let me in today, you will regret it in the future," Yolanda could only say so much.

Jaxon still stood his ground unmoved,

He seemed helpless, "Yolanda, I know you might feel wronged, but there’s nothing I can do. That’s my daughter inside, blame me for being selfish if you must,"

Seeing Eliana approaching, Jaxon knew it would be too late if he didn’t move aside now.

Yolanda was on the verge of tears, "Uncle, please just let me in. I’ll just ask a few questions and leave right away."

"Go back!"

At that moment, Eliana finally caught up and grabbed Yolanda’s arm, "You little bitch, you dare to trick me? Come with me right now!"

"Let go of me!" Yolanda ground her teeth.

"In your dreams, I won’t let you ruin Melissa’s wedding for anything, Yolanda, you might as well give up now!"

Yolanda turned her gaze towards Jaxon, her eyes reddening, tears welling up but forcefully held back.

In her eyes lay too many words that were unsaid, yet seemed absolutely necessary to express.

She was struggling!
