Chapter 149: Noah Coldson Kidnapped Yolanda Greenwood
Chapter 149: Chapter 149: Noah Coldson Kidnapped Yolanda Greenwood
"It’s over, there are no concerns for her life right now."
Noah Coldson pointed at the office behind him, "The doctor is inside, ask whatever you want."
But Cooper Coldson turned his head and walked away, "I’m going to take a look at Yolanda Greenwood first, which ward is she in?"
Thinking about the amount of blood Yolanda Greenwood had lost, his heart thumped violently; he just wanted to see her and confirm she was really alright.
Noah Coldson grabbed his arm, "She’s still in the ICU and can’t be visited. Whatever you want to know, ask the doctor."
Cooper Coldson felt something was off.
"Go on." Noah Coldson knocked and pushed Cooper Coldson into the office.
Cooper Coldson with a suspicious expression, still decided to ask clearly, "Hello, doctor, how’s the patient who was just in resuscitation? Is she out of danger?"
"Are you her husband?" the doctor asked without looking up, his tone rather unpleasant, "No, soon-to-be ex-husband?"
Cooper Coldson frowned in displeasure, "What is the patient’s actual condition?"
The doctor snorted lightly, "Your belated concern is lighter than grass; rest assured, she won’t die."
"Can you speak properly?" Cooper Coldson grabbed the doctor’s collar, "Why did she lose so much blood? What injury did she have?"
The doctor, seeing Cooper Coldson’s temper so violent, immediately assumed he was an abuser and was even more determined to help Yolanda Greenwood.
He pushed away Cooper Coldson’s hand, "Pelvic injury, there was bleeding."
Cooper Coldson furrowed his brow, he didn’t quite understand, but the answer was not what he expected; he had speculated... that Yolanda Greenwood might be pregnant, wasn’t she?
He confirmed again, "There’s no other reason?"
The doctor scoffed coldly, "What other reason could there be? You’re not hoping that your ex-wife is carrying your child, are you?"
Cooper Coldson’s expression had a moment of embarrassment, "It’s better if it’s not."
"Don’t worry, even if she was pregnant, with such a severe impact, the child would be lost," the doctor said lightly as he watched Cooper Coldson’s retreating back.
Cooper Coldson paused for a moment before he walked out the door.
He went straight to the floor where the ICU was located, but after searching the whole place he couldn’t find Yolanda Greenwood.
He immediately went to the information desk to ask, "Hello, I would like to know which ward Yolanda Greenwood, who has just finished being resuscitated, is in?"
"Yolanda Greenwood?" The nurse flipped through the records, "She was discharged just now."
"Discharged?" Cooper Coldson’s face changed dramatically, "Who arranged her discharge?"
The nurse pointed at the name above, "Mr. Noah Coldson."
Cooper Coldson was furious, and immediately tried to call Noah Coldson, but he wasn’t picking up.
At this time, Melissa Greenwood came over, "Cooper, why are you here? How’s Yolanda?"
Cooper Coldson clenched his teeth, "She’s been discharged."
After Cooper Coldson had left, Melissa Greenwood went to see the doctor and knew that Yolanda Greenwood’s child was temporarily safe and that Noah Coldson had arranged for Yolanda Greenwood’s transfer.
She tried hard to control her emotions; it was okay, she still had a last resort, the real trump card!
Yolanda Greenwood’s child would not be kept!
"Discharged? So soon? Is she okay?" Melissa Greenwood asked with feigned concern.
"I don’t know." Cooper Coldson continued to dial Noah Coldson’s number, but couldn’t get through no matter what.
He threw his phone in frustration, "My brother arranged her discharge, why isn’t he answering my calls?"
Melissa Greenwood spoke cautiously, "Since your brother is involved, Yolanda should be very safe."
Cooper Coldson turned his head to glare at her, "He has no right to just take her away like that."
Melissa Greenwood’s heart ached for a moment, clearly, as Noah Coldson had said, Cooper Coldson was starting to care more and more about Yolanda Greenwood.
She spoke again, "Perhaps it was Yolanda’s intention? After all, they’ve become quite close these days."
Cooper didn’t speak again and quickly walked outside.
Richard Reyes was waiting outside and immediately greeted him when he saw him coming.
"Did you see my big brother just now?" Cooper walked very quickly, asking as he went.
Richard hesitated for a moment, sensing that Cooper was in a bad mood, and answered in a low voice, "A few hours ago, there was a continuous stream of military pickups here, but I didn’t see the eldest young master."
Military vehicles?
Cooper abruptly stopped in his tracks. He thought that finding someone in Gray City was easy, but if Noah intentionally wanted to hide from him... he probably had no way to do so.
This was really infuriating!
He instructed Richard in a low voice, "First, check where all these military vehicles went, big brother has taken Yolanda away."
"Yes." Richard frowned slightly, not understanding what the brothers were up to.
On the other hand, after Noah had taken Yolanda out of the hospital, he didn’t go to the Women’s Maternity Hospital; after all, it was Coldson Group’s territory, unsafe.
He brought her to the nearest military camp and sent for Dr. Hall from Ivy Hall.
It was the first time the brothers at the camp had seen their leader bring a woman back, and just now, for this woman, their leader had mobilized the entire camp.
Most were very curious, but dared not get close, fearing Noah’s deputy, Alex Johnson, would come to scout for information.
"Captain," Alex stood at the door, seeing from a distance a woman lying unconscious in the medical room, "come out for a minute."
Noah glanced at Yolanda and walked out on tiptoes.
"What is it?" he asked impatiently.
Alex scratched his head; right, this was how his boss should be, not like just now, with that careful, considerate demeanor while holding the woman.
He nodded his head upwards, "Yours?"
"What’s with yours and mine, can’t you speak properly?" Noah glared at him, "Get lost if there’s nothing else."
Saying this, he kicked out at Alex.
Alex deftly dodged; he had long gotten used to his boss’s sudden attacks and had developed a knack for dodging.
He didn’t dare approach further, but continued from a distance, joking, "Captain, is she really your missus? She’s really beautiful; no wonder you didn’t want to leave. If it were me, I wouldn’t leave either."
"Get lost!" Noah suppressed his emotions and cursed, but as he turned to go back, the corners of his mouth lifted into a slight curve.
Dr. Hall finished checking on Yolanda and finally breathed a sigh of relief, "These two kids are also fated with Yolanda; for now, there’s no issue, but she definitely needs to rest in bed for at least a month."
Noah breathed a sigh of relief; he knew how much Yolanda cared about these two children. If the kids were gone, he couldn’t imagine how heartbroken Yolanda would be.
"Dr. Hall, then please stay at the camp for a few more days. If she really is alright, I’ll have someone send you back."
Dr. Hall nodded; this was a rare vacation for her, after all, she only needed to take care of one person.
She knew that the child wasn’t Noah’s, looking up at him, "Do you really not mind that she’s carrying someone else’s child?"
Noah’s expression changed slightly, and he spoke unnaturally, "Dr. Hall, you’re overthinking it, Yolanda and I..."
"Alright." Dr. Hall knew these young people’s tricks all too well, not wanting to hear Noah’s explanations, "It’s none of my business. I’m going for a stroll."
Noah signaled to someone in the distance, and immediately a cheerful soldier stepped forward, volunteering to accompany Dr. Hall.
Dr. Hall understood that this was a military stronghold; even when she first arrived, she had been blindfolded the entire way. Now, if she wanted to stroll, there were restrictions as to where she could go.
Noah turned back, only to see Yolanda slowly waking up.
