Entangled with My Cousin's Fiancé
Chapter 131 Didn’t You Hear Her Mention Noah Coldson?

Chapter 131: Chapter 131 Didn’t You Hear Her Mention Noah Coldson?

After returning, the three of them didn’t mention what happened during the day.

After dinner, Lola Gold went to her room to rest early, and George Ross called Yolanda Greenwood out.

"Yolanda, do you know Assistant Reyes?" He looked at her scrutinizingly, guessing the relationship between Yolanda and Assistant Reyes.

"Yes." Yolanda nodded, "I’m not familiar with him, I’ve only met him a few times."

George Ross remained skeptical, "And what about Lola? Does she know Assistant Reyes well?"

Yolanda knew what he was getting at and said directly, "Lola doesn’t know Assistant Reyes. Uncle, after what happened today, don’t get me or Lola involved in your development team’s affairs anymore."

"Today was an accident." George Ross gave a forced smile, "Uncle promises it won’t happen again."

Yolanda still refused, "It’s nothing, I’m going to go rest now."

George Ross cursed under his breath.

The old lady came over curiously, "What’s wrong? I see that Yolanda doesn’t look very happy."

She lowered her voice, "George, I think this Yolanda is quite good, young and pretty, and more gentle in temperament than Lola, suitable to be your wife."

"Suitable for what?" George Ross looked disdainful, "A divorced woman, I don’t know what she’s pulling."

"What?" The old lady immediately changed her tone, "Tsk! I wasted several days paying attention to her, but she turns out to be damaged goods, never mind, I’ll find someone else for you."

"Alright, alright, what can a blind old lady like you see? You don’t need to worry about it."

Still worried, George Ross cautioned the old lady, "I’m telling you, don’t offend her; we are relying on her for our demolition funds."

When Yolanda returned to her room, she received a call from Richard Reyes.

"How is Miss Gold doing?" he asked with concern.

"Ah," Yolanda sighed, "Thank you for your concern, Assistant Reyes."

Richard Reyes immediately realized the situation was not good, "I am truly sorry about this matter. Rest assured, President Harper won’t let him off."

"What?" Yolanda’s heart sank, "Are you saying Cooper Coldson knows?"

"No, of course not." Richard Reyes immediately corrected himself, "I mean, Coldson Group won’t let him off. He will have to pay and face prison. He won’t get away with this."

Yolanda didn’t respond. Even if Enzo Harper were sentenced to death, it wouldn’t undo the damage caused.

"Miss Yolanda," Richard Reyes spoke again, "How about we have a meal together tomorrow? Consider it an apology on behalf of the company."

"There’s no need, this matter after all is solely Enzo Harper’s fault."

Richard Reyes glanced at the person in front of him and pressed on, "Miss Yolanda, consider it a favor for me. I just took over this project and am not very familiar with Ully Town. Could you introduce me to some details?"

With things put that way, and Yolanda having just asked someone for a favor, she naturally couldn’t refuse.

"Alright then, I don’t really know much, but I’ll come."

"No problem, then it’s settled. I’ll send you the address and time later." Richard Reyes successfully completed his mission.

Cooper Coldson gave him a disdainful look, "Look at the worthless sight of you."

Richard Reyes: ..., Yes, it’s me who’s worthless! Who got divorced and still followed others sneakily!

After hanging up, Yolanda told Lola Gold about it and, as expected, Lola was not interested in going.

"No worries, I’ll go by myself."

The next day, Yolanda arrived on time at the place, which turned out to be a very nice restaurant. Assistant Reyes had reserved a private room.

She entered and saw Assistant Reyes already waiting there.

"Miss Yolanda," Assistant Reyes stood up respectfully, "Please have a seat. I’m not sure what you like, so I ordered some dishes at random. You can add more if you’d like."

He handed over the menu with both hands.

Yolanda smiled, "Assistant Reyes, or maybe I can just call you Brother Reyes. I’ve divorced Cooper Coldson, you don’t need to be so formal with me anymore."

"Brother Reyes?" Richard immediately objected with both hands, "That won’t do. Please keep calling me Assistant Reyes, otherwise I’m not used to it."

"That’s fine," Yolanda didn’t insist, knowing the skills Richard must have acquired working alongside Cooper Coldson for so many years.

"Thank you so much for yesterday," she said, lifting her tea in place of wine, "I’ve not been feeling well lately and can’t drink alcohol, so let me toast you with tea."

Richard quickly raised his own glass, "You’re too kind, Miss Yolanda, too kind."

However, before he could drink, his phone rang on the table. He hastily put down his glass and checked his phone.

[Ask her how her health is.] It was a message from Cooper Coldson.

Richard gave an awkward smile, "Miss Yolanda, how is your health? Is something troubling you?"

"It’s nothing, just some stomach issues," Yolanda casually lied; she couldn’t possibly mention her pregnancy.

"Oh, you should be careful with what you eat. Are you adjusting well here?" Richard promptly replied to Cooper Coldson’s message.

[Mr. President, rest assured, after dinner, I’ll buy some medicine and nutritional supplements for Miss Yolanda.]

"I really like it here, it’s a slow pace of life, very comfortable," Yolanda glanced at Richard’s phone, "Assistant Reyes seems quite busy."

"It’s not a big deal; I just took over here, so I need to quickly get a handle on things."

Yolanda nodded, "Actually, yesterday we accompanied Lola Gold’s uncle to meet Enzo Harper. Her uncle is the deputy head of this development team."

"Deputy head?" Richard looked helpless, "As far as I know, there seem to be five or six deputy heads."

Yolanda chuckled dryly twice.

Richard asked more about Yolanda’s life here, and she realized that Richard’s invitation wasn’t really about understanding the Ully Town development project.

It was clear he knew much more about the affairs of the development team than she did.

She couldn’t help but ask, "Assistant Reyes, did someone ask you to speak to me?"

"Eh?" Richard hurriedly denied, "No, Miss Yolanda, you’ve misunderstood, I..."

"Is it Noah Coldson?"

Richard felt a dread, he stuttered his denial, "No, it’s really not."

Yet Yolanda believed besides Noah, no one else would be able to seek out Richard or command him, and as for Cooper, she hadn’t even considered him.

"Assistant Reyes, tell Noah Coldson for me, I’m doing fine here, he doesn’t need to worry."

Richard chuckled dryly twice.

After finishing the meal, Yolanda prepared to leave, "I’ll be going then. Maybe I’ll treat you to dinner sometime."

"Take care, Miss Yolanda," Richard could no longer smile, knowing the moment Yolanda left, his life wasn’t far from being over.

As expected, no sooner had the door closed than another door swiftly opened, revealing a small bedroom adjacent to the dining room.

Cooper Coldson emerged, his face ashen.

Richard racked his brains and tentatively began, "President, should I go tell Miss Yolanda it was you who..."

"Are you deaf, or just dumb?" Cooper Coldson was uncontrollably furious, "Didn’t you hear her constantly talking about Noah?"
