Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Just Finished the Procedures and Now Regretting

In the evening, Cooper Coldson was called back to the old house again.

As soon as he showed up, Isabella Ross pulled him aside, "Did you really get divorced? I’ve heard that it’s quite troublesome to get divorced now, there’s even a cooling-off period."

"Mom, what are you trying to say?" Cooper had been inexplicably irritable all day, "Haven’t you been longing for our divorce every day?"

"..." Isabella hesitated for a moment, "I didn’t say I disagree, just... as long as you think it through, it’s fine."

During dinner, everyone tacitly remained silent, and the atmosphere was somewhat oppressive.

"Grandpa," Noah Coldson was the first to break the silence, "Yolanda isn’t in Gray City recently, if you’re missing her..."

"Not in Gray City?" Cooper asked in a deep voice, "Where did she go?"

Noah glanced at him and continued to address Old Master Coldson, "You can call her at any time."

"It’s better that she’s gone, out of sight, out of mind," Old Master Coldson’s tone was obviously dissatisfied.

"Yolanda indeed should get out and see more," Christopher Coldson joined in, trying to lighten the mood, "Let her enjoy herself."

Noah looked over again, "It’s not a vacation. She and Lola Gold gave up their house, and she might... never come back to Gray City."

"Together with Lola Gold?" Christopher’s voice rose slightly, aware of Sunny Coldson’s gaze; he quickly looked down and continued eating without saying anything else.

After the meal, Isabella hurriedly called Noah over.

"Did Yolanda Greenwood leave Gray City? Where did she go?" She appeared anxious.

"Mom, you don’t have to worry about it," Noah was somewhat impatient.

"How can I not worry about it?" Isabella lowered her voice, "She’s carrying the Coldson Family’s bloodline in her belly. No, I must find out where she’s gone."

"Mom!" Noah spoke helplessly, "Don’t worry, I know where she is, and I will take good care of her."

When he pushed the door to leave, he saw Cooper standing at the doorway, looking somewhat perplexed.

Noah didn’t know how much Cooper had overheard and waited for him to speak first.

"I’ve already divorced Yolanda, big brother, are you still in touch with her?" There was an accusatory edge to his voice.

Relieved that Cooper hadn’t heard any critical information, Noah relaxed and as he walked away, he said indifferently, "Who I contact is my own business."

Cooper silently clenched his teeth, his inner turmoil intensifying.

Returning to his room, his expression grew even darker.

In the old house, he had always lived with Yolanda Greenwood, and her belongings were scattered everywhere in the room; even the air was imbued with Yolanda’s scent.

He lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep. He got up and called Yolanda’s cell phone.

Yolanda was surprised when she saw who was calling. She handed the phone to Lola Gold, "I’m not seeing things, right?"

"Pfft!" Lola burst into laughter instantly, "You’re not hallucinating, it’s your ex-husband. Really interesting, feeling regret so soon after the paperwork?"

"That’s impossible!" Yolanda got up and went to the window to take the call.

Today, she was staying at Lola’s mother’s place to go to the train station easily in the morning.

She answered the call, but the other party did not speak.

"Hello?" After waiting for a while, she said somewhat speechlessly, "Wrong number?"

"Come and take away your stuff!" Cooper’s voice was cold.

"Stuff? What stuff?" Yolanda was confused as she had moved all her belongings from the villa long ago.

"The old house!" Cooper squeezed out two words.

Yolanda then realized that because she would occasionally return and stay at the old house for a few days, she had left some miscellaneous items there.

She couldn’t believe Cooper could be so heartless as to demand she remove every trace of her existence from the Coldson Family immediately after their divorce.

Maybe... she figured it out quickly.

After Cooper married Melissa Greenwood, Melissa would definitely move into that room, and Yolanda’s things were indeed in the way.

But she was leaving tomorrow. If she were to go, it could only be tonight.

"Fine, I’ll come right now to get them," Yolanda hung up the phone and turned to Lola, "I need to go to the Coldson’s old house."

"What? Is it because of grandpa..." Lola was instantly worried.

"No." Yolanda gave a bitter smile, "Cooper wants me to take away the things I stored at the old house."

"..." Lola was almost laughing with anger, "This bastard’s drama is just as plentiful as his money."

Seeing that Yolanda was really planning to go, she got up to dissuade her, "Can’t you just let him throw it away?"

She couldn’t help but speculate, "Cooper wouldn’t be unable to part with you, trying to find ways to see you, would he?"

"It doesn’t matter, I’ll just go this once, and it’s a good opportunity to see grandpa," Yolanda knew how stubborn Cooper could be about these matters and didn’t want more trouble, especially since she was leaving and really should pay a visit to grandpa.

She only hoped she wouldn’t run into Isabella Ross and that it would go smoothly.

As for what Lola said about Cooper wanting to see her, it wasn’t within her consideration.

Yolanda changed her clothes and took a taxi straight to the old house. When she arrived, she was surprised to find Cooper waiting at the entrance.

It was the first time Cooper had come out to greet her.

After they met, neither of them spoke; they walked side by side in silence.

Yolanda felt nothing; after all these years, she had grown accustomed to Cooper’s indifferent and aloof demeanor.

It was actually Cooper who appeared uncomfortable the entire time.

Finally, he couldn’t help but be the first to speak, "I heard from big brother that you’re leaving for another place."

"Yes," Yolanda replied.

"Where to?" Cooper surprisingly asked.

Yolanda fell silent momentarily.

"What? Afraid I’ll come looking for you?" Cooper’s tone took on a hint of sarcasm, "Yolanda, could it be that you’re thinking too highly of yourself..."

"Cooper!" Yolanda stopped, looking seriously at the man in front of her.

Under the moonlight, the man’s face was half-shadowed, his features even sharper, giving off an even colder impression.

"I’ve agreed to divorce you; hence, I have no reason to endure your insults," she said slowly, "I’ve never been afraid of you trying to find me, nor would I ever expect you to. Now, it just seems that wherever I go, or whatever I do in the future, it has nothing to do with you anymore."

Cooper looked down at her; he had never realized how grating these two words could be.

Irrelevant?

He chuckled twice and walked away, "Take your things and get lost!"

Yolanda was stunned for a moment, not understanding what she had said wrong as this man always turned on her so quickly.

She quickly followed, cautiously speaking up, "I want to go up and see grandpa, just for a bit, I’ll just say a few words and leave."

"No!" Cooper’s refusal was straightforward.

Yolanda was speechless; she could only follow and plead again, "Please, it’s just a few words, a farewell, I might not come back after I leave this time."

The man’s footsteps suddenly halted.

Seeing an opportunity, Yolanda hurriedly continued, "I’ve been in the Coldson Family for so many years, grandpa has always taken good care of me, and I want to say a proper goodbye."

"What about me?"

Yolanda was a bit unclear, "What did you say?"
