Chapter 101: Chapter 101: A Certain Part Strutting Proudly
"You have a fever," Yolanda still stood.
"It’s none of your business," Cooper rubbed his temples with a headache, yearning for some water. He tried to stand to get some for himself but collapsed back onto the couch.
He muttered something under his breath that Yolanda did not catch, then she watched as he tried to stand again, swaying unsteadily.
"What are you trying to do? Let me help you," Yolanda moved forward to support him.
"No need, you can go," Cooper pushed her away, which sent him tumbling back onto the couch because of the reaction force.
"Why are you showing off?" Yolanda couldn’t stand by and watch, moving forward to press his shoulders down, "Tell me, what do you want to do?"
Cooper looked up at her and after a while, finally gave up resisting, "Water."
Yolanda immediately went downstairs to fetch water but noticed, passing by the window, that Noah’s car was still outside.
She took out her phone and called Noah, "Big brother, haven’t you gone back yet?"
"How’s it going? Can you cope?" Noah countered with a question.
"Yeah, it’s fine, he’s a bit feverish. I’ll give him some medicine, don’t worry," Yolanda reached the first floor and quickly found the medical kit. Just as she was about to hang up, she realized the other side hadn’t disconnected, "Big brother?"
"Good, call me at any time if you need, I’m heading back," Noah watched the figure on the first floor from the window, watched her carrying the medicine kit and water upstairs, then he hung up the phone and drove off.
Yolanda found the fever-reducing medicine and handed it to Cooper, "Take your medicine."
"I won’t," Cooper refused impatiently, then looked towards the water, "Give me the water, you can leave now."
"You have a fever, you must take your medicine," Yolanda insisted, holding the water just out of Cooper’s reach.
"Give it to me!" Cooper grew more impatient.
"Medicine first, water later, or no deal," Yolanda was unyielding.
Cooper ground his teeth in frustration, but he really did feel hot and thirsty, so he had to compromise, "Fine, give me the medicine."
Yolanda smiled, placed the medicine in Cooper’s palm, and watched as he obediently put it in his mouth. Then she handed him the water.
"Drink up, all of it," she instructed.
"I’m not a child, I don’t need your teachings," Cooper said with a mouthful of medicine, protesting indistinctly.
Yolanda internally grumbled to herself, "Wouldn’t you say Dad is just being a hard-mouth? He’s obviously acting like a child, so immature!"
After taking the medicine, Cooper’s eyes were half-closed as he looked askance at Yolanda, "Aren’t you leaving?"
"..." Yolanda regretted not insisting that Noah stay, thinking she should have left this jerk to him.
She pointed to Cooper’s clothes, "Take them off."
Cooper became instantly defensive, "Yolanda, are you some kind of pervert? I’m sick, and you still want to take advantage of me?"
"Me, taking advantage of someone?" Yolanda almost laughed in disbelief, "Who just now had the bow drawn, calling me a pervert?"
Cooper’s face turned even redder, his angry expression clear, yet he remained silent.
"Don’t worry, Young Master Coldson, I’ll help you get undressed, watch you get into bed, and then I’ll leave," Yolanda said helplessly, seeing that Cooper was clearly having trouble even with undressing.
Seeing the man didn’t reject, she took a few steps forward, her small hand hesitating before she began to help with the shirt buttons.
Cooper still lay sprawled there, eyes narrowed, looking down at the little woman who knelt before him.
She was clearly nervous, cheeks perpetually flushed, her gaze flitting uncertainly not knowing where to look, struggling to unfasten a single button.
Pfft... Cooper chuckled softly, "You’ve seen my body before, why pretend to be unfamiliar?"
Yolanda, teeth clenched with frustration, shed her shyness and with a determined look, helped Cooper remove his shirt. Next were the pants.
She stood up, "Take off your pants yourself."
"No." Cooper Coldson’s eyes flashed with mischief, "I can’t stand up, you help me."
Yolanda Greenwood looked at Cooper Coldson’s face, then at his pants, feeling torn inside.
"Hurry up, I’m really sleepy," Cooper Coldson urged.
Grinding her back teeth in frustration, Yolanda at last adopted a resigned expression and squatted down in front of Cooper Coldson again.
She quickly found the belt and after some effort managed to unbuckle it, only to see a certain part of someone shamelessly on display when the pants came off.
Both of their faces turned red.
Cooper Coldson grabbed his shirt to cover his ’little brother’ and said with an embarrassed voice, "That’s enough, you can go now."
"Burning bridges after crossing," Yolanda muttered, "Then you better just lie down in bed by yourself, I’m leaving."
As she turned to leave, she had taken just one step when she was embraced from behind.
The smell of alcohol and his strong scent enveloped her again, making her stiffen.
"Or, you could just not go," a hoarse voice whispered in her ear.
Staying would mean knowing exactly what might happen, and Yolanda was well aware of that.
"Let go." She thought with bitterness, wondering if she was now just a stand-in like Lola Gold.
Eventually, Cooper Coldson regained some sense of reason and released Yolanda, watching as she quickly walked away.
Yolanda took a taxi back to her place.
Clearly, Lola Gold hadn’t gone to sleep yet and came out of the bedroom when she heard someone, "Yolanda, you’re back?"
She smelt the alcohol, "No way, did Big Brother take you out drinking?"
"No." Yolanda moved her sore arms, "Cooper Coldson got drunk, Aunt Jasmine took another leave, so I went back..."
"He made you come back to play the nanny for free again?" Lola Gold was furious, "This is unacceptable, I’m going to call Big Brother for a clear explanation; that guy is such a scumbag."
"No need." Yolanda thought Lola Gold was just venting, but to her surprise, she really made the call.
"Big Brother, this is too much!" Lola’s fiery temper erupted, "You Coldson Family young masters really have no shame, thinking you can take Yolanda for a free nanny?"
"Lola!" Yolanda panicked, "Hang up, hang up now!"
There was silence on the other end of the phone before Noah Coldson’s voice came through, "Yolanda? You didn’t stay overnight at the villa?"
Yolanda had no choice but to take the phone from Lola Gold and walk to the window to speak, "Big Brother, it’s me, I’ve come back. Cooper Coldson has taken his medication, he should be asleep now, so I just came back."
She could tell from his voice that Noah Coldson was very lucid, "Big Brother, aren’t you asleep yet?"
"I’m about to sleep." Noah Coldson’s voice sounded somewhat cheerful, "Yolanda, you should sleep early too."
"Mhm." Yolanda was indeed sleepy.
Noah Coldson added, "Can you explain to Lola Gold for me? You’re not playing nanny for free, I’ve asked Cooper to take you out for dinner."
"Huh?" Yolanda quickly shook her head, "No need, Big Brother, it’s a small matter, no need for dinner."
"But you must go, and it has to be somewhere good," Noah Coldson didn’t give Yolanda a chance to refuse and promptly said goodnight before hanging up.
Lola Gold had obviously heard Noah Coldson’s words and chuckled, "That sounds more like it."
"Forget it, even if he invited me, I wouldn’t go," Yolanda said, utterly disinterested.
