Chapter 495: Chapter 466: Trial of the Priest Class (Part 2)

And she returned to the tavern room in the “Elf Kingdom”…

“Is that it? Just one character appears?”

Moonlight Jasmine was taken aback.

*This doesn’t seem like the style of “Elf Kingdom”!*

*Every new opening animation should last for at least a few tens of seconds, or even a minute, right?*

*And shouldn’t they make the players’ activities part of the history or something…*

*You know, players nowadays take pride in appearing in new opening animations.*

*But today, why was it just one character and then nothing?*

*Could it be… a preview of a new storyline?*

Moonlight Jasmine wondered.

*However, despite her curiosity, she wasn’t very interested.*

“Maybe it’s warming up for some plotline, or perhaps it’s another main storyline? But I’m not that interested, I’ll just join in to earn experience when there’s a group event.”

She shook her head and got up from the bed in the guest room, putting on her armor again.

Removing equipment before logging out to rest had become common knowledge in the “Elf Kingdom.”

*Perhaps it’s to simulate reality, if you rest wearing armor, the recovery of stamina would be impacted, and sometimes logging in again would make your legs feel numb.*

Of course, for Moonlight Jasmine, these details that some players might find impressively realistic were just a waste of time to her.

*If they have the time to work on such details, they should better optimize the class balance!*

*Look at the current situation, a bunch of combat classes, but only a Druid can barely be considered as half a healer.*

But fortunately, the Priest class was finally available now.

Thinking of this, Moonlight Jasmine brought up the character panel.

And sure enough, in the system’s class introduction, the once darkened Priest class had finally lit up.

The symbol of the Priest class was a staff, which was now the symbol of the Goddess of Life.

Moonlight Jasmine immediately opened the Priest class introduction to check the guidance on how to become a Priest, and whether it would affect the advancement of other classes.

“Hmm? To become a Priest, I have to complete a trial task in the Oros Half-plane? After completing the task, I become a Reserve Priest?”

“Reserve Priest doesn’t count as a level and is not yet a Priest. You must complete missionary tasks to upgrade to Apprentice Priest, which is from level 1 to 10, and then comes Black Iron Priest, Silver Priest…”

“The Priest class can be taken as a secondary or main specialization, the difference lies in how experience is gained and the requirements of missionary tasks…”

“When the Priest is a secondary class, its level cannot exceed that of the main class. The main class level remains the player’s level, and advancement in the main class is not affected by the Priest. Advancing a secondary Priest class doesn’t require experience, just the completion of certain missionary tasks.”

“When the Priest is the main class, its level can exceed other class levels. The highest class level is the player level, and player advancement is influenced by Priest advancement. After becoming a main Priest class, player advancement requires only one-third of the regular experience, and you must complete missionary tasks to advance.”

After carefully studying the Priest class introduction, Moonlight Jasmine had some understanding of this new class.

“I see, which means, if taken as a secondary class, just complete certain missionary tasks to raise the Priest level, but don’t expect the Priest level to exceed the main class level; it’s just a secondary class.”

“If the Priest class is chosen as the main class, then its level can surpass the current player level and cover the original player level to become the new player level, meaning… players with Priest as the main class can use the Priest class to raise their level!”

“Main class Priests need experience, but the required experience for advancement is only one-third of the other classes, making it easier to level up. However, if the main class is Priest, to advance in a rank, missionary tasks must be completed!”

“This playstyle is somewhat intriguing, seems suitable for newcomers to quickly level up, hmm… provided they master the Priest’s advancement technique, but… *why do I feel like it doesn’t quite suit me? The tasks seem a bit bothersome…*”

Moonlight Jasmine scratched her head.

However, she had already boasted to Caesar about leading them, even if it seemed slightly inconvenient now, she had to go through with it.

“Since a secondary Priest would have no impact, let’s first switch classes.”

Having finished the introduction to the Priest class, Moonlight Jasmine planned to first switch to the Silver Warrior.

She faced the direction of the World Tree and prayed skillfully:

“Praise nature, praise life, praise the great Eve Goddess!”

Her vision changed, and Moonlight Jasmine arrived at the class transfer screen.

The Warrior class had four specialization options: weapon mastery, defense mastery, agility mastery, and magic-weapon mastery.

Weapon mastery was focused on offense, allowing quick proficiency with nearly any weapon, and greatly enhancing attack skills.

Defense mastery focused on defense, being tough and durable, with some auxiliary defense skills.

Agility mastery had a bit of a Hunter class flavor.

The last one, magic-weapon mastery, was essentially a hybrid of magic and weapon. Of course, when they said hybrid, it just meant a slight power boost and learning a few instant-cast auxiliary magic spells.

All four specializations each had their strengths and weaknesses.

Enjoying battles and passionate about fighting, Moonlight Jasmine naturally chose weapon mastery.
