Chapter 1387: Chapter 1391: Lost in the Human World
"I only remember the first time I entered the Dragon Gate, but I’ve forgotten everything after that," Zhu Minglang said.
"I can help you recall. You know the Dragon Gate serves as the place for selecting the divine form for the God Chosen, and what enters the Dragon Gate is not the physical body, but the Divine Travel Body Shell, which is the Divine Soul," Nan Yuso said.
"I know this," Zhu Minglang nodded.
"If you can enter the Dragon Gate, what about me?" Nan Yuso asked with a smile.
"You can too, your Divine Soul will enter the Dragon Gate," Zhu Minglang nodded.
At this moment, Zhu Minglang remembered the overwhelming, difficult to recall memories when he first met the Ancestral Temple Goddess.
From that chaotic and complex Dragon Gate memory, although Zhu Minglang couldn’t recall the details, he was sure of one thing:
He had encountered Nan Yuso in the Dragon Gate and they had accompanied each other for a very long time... it was one of his numerous cycles in the Dragon Gate.
"Have you ever seen both me and Ling Sha at the same time?" Nan Yuso asked another question.
Zhu Minglang was stunned for a moment.
The scene of Nan Yuso and Nan Lingsha appearing simultaneously?
How could that be possible, they share one body, their Divine Souls reside in one body, when one is awake, the other must be asleep.
They couldn’t appear at the same time.
"I don’t think so," Zhu Minglang shook his head.
"Think again," Nan Yuso said.
Upon hearing this, and especially looking at Nan Yuso’s beautiful face just inches away, numerous images suddenly flashed through Zhu Minglang’s mind...
They were a pair of twin sisters standing before him.
They were not Li Yunzi, Nan Lingsha, or Li Xinghua, Nan Yuso.
They were Nan Lingsha and Nan Yuso??
A sudden thunderclap "boom" exploded in Zhu Minglang’s mind!
Zhu Minglang’s eyes were filled with disbelief, and he stared into Nan Yuso’s eyes as if something deep inside was awakening, about to break through his own body shell!
"Dragon Gate... I saw both of you at the same time in the Dragon Gate!" Zhu Minglang said in extreme shock.
"See, didn’t you just remember?" Nan Yuso smiled, narrowing her eyes, making her seem more like a beautiful fox demon.
In the Dragon Gate, everyone travels as Divine Travel Body Shells.
Though Nan Yuso and Nan Lingsha reside in one body, they each have their own Divine Souls.
So when they enter the Dragon Gate as God Chosen, the Dragon Gate World grants them independent Divine Travel Body Shells.
Only in the Dragon Gate can the sisters meet, converse, and walk together hand in hand.
"This is the difference between dual personas and dual divine souls," Zhu Minglang suddenly realized, but he couldn’t calm his inner turmoil.
In the endless cycles of the Dragon Gate, he had encountered them.
It was like a dream.
Suddenly, Zhu Minglang remembered what Nan Yuso once said, a sense of bitterness and helplessness, accumulated over endless years, spread through his heart, and he realized he had indeed forgotten many important things, including experiences that made him lose himself.
"Alright, alright, stop thinking about it. Just like you have to accept our divine souls cohabiting, we also have to accept your intermittent cycles. We all have our ailments," Nan Yuso said.
"I’m sorry, I... I didn’t know before..." Zhu Minglang said apologetically.
"Perhaps you’re as eternal as the heavens, and we are all just passerby in your long life," Nan Yuso said in a soft and light voice.
Zhu Minglang became silent, having doubted his own life since waking from that white cocoon.
He felt he should find some time to gather Zhu Heavenly Officer and Meng Bingci to have a good talk as a family of three.
"I think one of Xuan Sang’s spirits fell to the human world," Nan Yuso turned the topic to the present matter.
"One of the Three Souls and Seven Spirits?" Zhu Minglang asked.
"Yes, don’t you feel Li Xuansang is missing something?" Nan Yuso said.
"A little, like they’re missing a sense of emotion, not all emotions, but a certain kind," Zhu Minglang nodded.
A gentle nature and a lack of certain emotion are two different things. Zhu Minglang sometimes thought Weaver Star’s nature was similar to Star Painting’s, but while Star Painting’s emotions were subtle, they were still fluctuating; she would worry, panic, and feel sorrow for many things...
It seemed that Weaver Star was missing a certain emotion, though Zhu Minglang couldn’t pinpoint what it was.
Among the Three Souls and Seven Spirits, the seven spirits represent seven emotions. Zhu Minglang compared carefully, and Weaver Star might really be lacking a certain emotion.
"For her to ascend to the Sun Crown, all Three Souls and Seven Spirits must be together; even one missing soul can’t be accepted," Nan Yuso said.
"Should we go back and talk with the Weaver?" Zhu Minglang asked.
"We must be very cautious about this," Nan Yuso said seriously, "Whether it’s the Three Souls or Seven Spirits, if one is wandering outside, it’s like a person sleepwalking; they can’t be startled or directly told their identity, or it might destroy the main soul and that wandering spirit."
They can’t take even the slightest scare!
The wandering spirits themselves are in an unwholesome state, very sensitive and fragile.
Including the main self, if you tell them they’ve lost a spirit, it’s a very dangerous thing.
No one can accept being told there’s something wrong with them, and they might even feel that lacking a certain emotion or spirit is their true self, strongly rejecting the missing spirit that has wandered away, loathing the idea of completing a missing emotion.
"We can only probe, not ask, right?" Zhu Minglang said.
"Yes," Nan Yuso nodded.
"Understood."
It’s like dealing with those lost shadows.
Most shadows can’t be disturbed; they always think they’re still alive, happily repeating the things they did in life, their obsessions becoming almost pathological.
Even so, they can’t be directly confronted.
We need to cooperate as much as possible and guide them slowly.
Including some of The Underworld Gods, when guiding wandering souls, they transform into someone from the spirit’s obsession, to enlighten and persuade, rather than forcibly dragging the soul away.
"By the way, weren’t you an Underworld God before? When my Rainbow Vault Dragon was dying, it was you who came to guide the soul," Zhu Minglang said.
"What soul guiding, I am the Ancestral Dragon God Princess, the Ancestral Temple Goddess, and I have the responsibility to let dragon souls in the world rest in peace, occasionally guiding dragon souls," Nan Yuso said unhappily.
"Oh, oh, oh, so you do have experience in this area."
"Ling Sha is better at it; she is responsible for guiding the divine," Nan Yuso said.
"Then why don’t you take a nap?" Zhu Minglang said weakly.
Nan Yuso’s beautiful eyes were already about to shoot sparks.
After all, this man saw her as a mere tool!
