Chapter 1369: Chapter 1373: Mysterious Sea

The Little Gluttonous Monster was groggy. Even though it was deep under the sea, it saw dozens of gigantic suns above it holding hands and dancing seaweed dances. It also saw a banquet fit for an emperor sprawled out across this azure ocean, waiting for it to feast...

Zhu Minglang quickly retrieved the Little Gluttonous Monster into the Spirit Realm.

The Little Gluttonous Monster had already been poisoned unconscious. As soon as it entered the Spirit Realm, it began snoring like rolling thunder.

The poison was potent, indeed. If another dragon consumed it, they’d likely be writhing in agony for half their life. But the Gluttonous Monster... it seemed it could digest almost anything.

Back in the Fourth Layer of Heaven at the Dragon Gate, a large group of cultivators had tried to subjugate the Gluttonous Monster. Their closest attempt at success involved using the venom of the Ancestral Python, but the result was merely putting it to sleep for three days and three nights.

Yet, in those three days and nights, none of the Divine Chosen were able to kill the sleeping tyrant.

Shaking his head in resigned amusement, recalling these details from the Dragon Gate, Zhu Minglang decided not to worry about the Little Gluttonous Monster anymore.

He immediately followed the trail of blood flowing through the sea.

The trail of blood was denser, like liquid gold. To the surrounding seawater, it almost resembled air, while the blood flowed like a genuine stream down the intricate paths of the Undersea Maze Cave toward the lower depths.

Zhu Minglang followed it, tracking it for a long time, passing through the vast underwater world of the maze. Within, it was no less than a true undersea kingdom, teeming with countless underwater spirits.

Finally, deep within a shimmering blue-water grotto, Zhu Minglang discovered a treasure cavern. The cavern was massive and sprawling, filled with luminous underwater spirit algae, and in one corner lay a mountain of pearls and agates!

Agates were embedded in the rock walls, gleaming in the dim light.

Pearls were piled into palace walls—the Lascivious Dragon Immortal Emperor had clearly constructed its underwater palace entirely out of precious treasures!

The sheer abundance left Zhu Minglang dazzled, struck by waves of overwhelming joy and excitement like tides rushing through him!

Ah, he adored treasure-hoarding dragons and serpents—looting a single Dragon Cavern could yield such immense riches! Sea dragons and serpents were the model Dragon Clan members, unlike those rough-scaled mountain-dwelling dragons, who could barely afford to maintain a proper lair!

The radiant, glittering, dazzling treasure was overwhelming. Zhu Minglang casually picked up a massive jade piece, and suddenly, the entire mountain of treasure began to tremble. A crisp, ethereal sound resonated in the cavern like a symphony of divine instruments!

"Clang clang clang~~~~~~~"

The treasure mountain cascaded down, spilling into the sea that couldn’t contain it. It sprawled at Zhu Minglang’s feet, leaving him standing amidst a field of jewels!

Jackpot!!

Jackpot!!!

If he brought it all back, he’d have enough resources to raise his second Moon Radiance Dragon!

Opening the Qiankun Bracelet, Zhu Minglang transformed into a gluttonous beast and devoured every last treasure.

After he had entirely emptied the treasure mountain, Zhu Minglang was thoroughly satisfied.

As he was about to leave, Zhu Minglang noticed that the stream of serpent blood was still flowing downward!

Peering closely, Zhu Minglang saw a fissure beneath the treasure mountain. The crack seemed unfathomably deep, and more importantly, it emanated a strange glow—an indescribable hue that exuded darkness and mystery!

Curiosity surged in Zhu Minglang.

And so, he decided to delve deeper and investigate.

The serpent blood continued to seep through the fissure, and Zhu Minglang followed it downward. The underwater crevice was narrow, yet it broadened as he descended.

Soon, the fissure transformed into an underwater canyon, and the eerie glow grew more intense.

"Boom!"

Suddenly, Zhu Minglang collided with something.

It felt like he had hit transparent Liuli glass. Though his sight could penetrate further below, it was as if a layer of energy akin to an air wall had blocked him! Beneath him lay an entirely unknown sea-bottom domain sealed away from him.

It was some kind of supernatural barrier!

Startled, Zhu Minglang couldn’t believe it. Wasn’t this the domain of an undersea beast’s lair? Yet beneath the beast’s lair lay such a human-made restrictive barrier!

As Zhu Minglang reflected, the serpent emperor’s blood dripped onto the barrier. Before long, it appeared to sizzle, and holes began to form!

"The Serpent Emperor’s blood can dissolve this barrier!" Zhu Minglang exclaimed in surprise.

The unique blood of the Lascivious Dragon Immortal Emperor seemed to act as a key to unlocking the barrier. As Zhu Minglang watched the restricted layer gradually disintegrate before him, a question arose in his heart.

To descend, or not to descend?

The answer was obvious—he had to descend.

The setup was so enticingly enigmatic—it was as though it begged for people to uncover its secrets!

Without hesitation, Zhu Minglang seized the opportunity provided by the dissolved section and plunged downward.

Though the abyss beneath the underwater maze was an unknown depth, it wasn’t entirely devoid of light. The eerie glow seemed to radiate from the seawater itself.

Suddenly, a shocking entity came into view. Zhu Minglang’s Divine Sense utterly failed to detect it until it was right before him, seemingly suppressed by the eerie glow permeating the water. Even his eyesight and other senses felt hindered!

As a chilling sense of panic began prickling at Zhu Minglang, the massive entity drifted past him slowly, slowly.

Its body was unimaginably rigid—it wasn’t swimming but floated like an enormous ghost ship pushed along by the sea current!

No vitality could be sensed, nor did it display any signs of undead life.

The grotesque figure was, in fact, an immense skeleton. It was soaking within the eerie abyssal waters, aimlessly roaming, impervious to decay or desiccation...

"In its prime, this creature must have been a mighty ruler of the vast seas," Zhu Minglang remarked.

Beside him, the Chongwang Dragon let out an excited cry.

This eerie sea skeleton consisted primarily of divine bones, anciently preserved within the eerie waters. The bones were comparable to rare fossils, their value rivalling the Sun and Moon Essence Stones! For a Death Spirit Dragon like the Chongwang Dragon, it was the ultimate nourishment!

"See if you can absorb it," Zhu Minglang instructed the Chongwang Dragon.

The Chongwang Dragon unfurled its Nether Wings and unleashed Undead Suction!

Soon, the eerie sea skeleton seemed to erode, crumbling slowly toward the Chongwang Dragon’s Nether Wings. The jade-like fossilized divine bones possessed value equalling the riches of the serpent emperor’s treasure mountain—especially for a Death Spirit Dragon Clan member like the Chongwang Dragon!

"I didn’t expect this place to conceal such an impressive divine skeleton. Its level is high, its age ancient... I wonder if it can trigger one of Chongwang Dragon’s divine purifications!" Zhu Minglang pondered aloud, rubbing his chin as he patiently watched the Chongwang Dragon absorb its feast of divine relics.

Its quality might have been too immense, as the Chongwang Dragon took considerable time simply to absorb it.

Meanwhile, Zhu Minglang grew restless with curiosity, eager to see if there were more secrets hidden within this eerie sea.
