“Little Trea, help Frenzie choose one,” Lan Xuanyu said to the Treasure Seeking Beast.

The Treasure Seeking Beast looked at the plant-type beings nearby and then at those farther away, not yet gathered. Suddenly, it grinned mischievously. “Master, adults don’t pick sides—they go for everything. When you broke through earlier, the Eternal Tree consumed a lot of energy. I helped replenish some, so this can count as a return gift.”

Lan Xuanyu, intelligent as he was, was still momentarily stunned. What did it mean?

“All of you, come here. This lord has something to say to you,” the Treasure Seeking Beast said, abandoning its usual fawning tone. With hands behind its back, it floated into the air, radiating a faint halo—that was a trace of immortal aura.

The plant-type powerhouses seemed to sense something and instinctively followed it toward the lakeside.

Suddenly, it hit him—back in the Divine Realm, the Treasure Seeking Beast had been in charge of managing spiritual herbs for the Dragon God. All the spiritual herbs in the Divine Realm were undoubtedly god-level. As the Divine Realm’s nursery manager, it wasn’t just attuned to such treasures—it had the authority to govern them.

In the distance, even more plant-type powerhouses who hadn’t initially gathered began converging toward the Treasure Seeking Beast, as if drawn by some invisible signal.

Even more surprising, figures rose from the lake and distant places, each emitting a clearly higher-level aura.

The Treasure Seeking Beast, however, waved its hand with slight disdain. Yet those figures still drew near.

Lan Xuanyu quickly replied, “Don’t worry, Pavilion Master. I wouldn’t act recklessly. Little Trea seems to be communicating with them—probably trying to select the best fit for us.”

“God-level ones are off-limits. They’re part of the academy’s core defense,” Wang Tianyu said with a frown.

For plant-type soul beasts, reaching godhood was extraordinarily difficult—only possible here in Eternal Sky City. That’s why so many of them gathered here. The city had existed for ten thousand years, yet only a few god-level plant-type soul beasts had emerged. Each was considered a helper to the Eternal Tree. If Eternal Sky City were ever attacked, they were the academy’s ultimate defense—and tied to the very life source of Douluo Planet.

“Understood. Don’t worry,” Lan Xuanyu said, sensing that Wang Tianyu was already on edge.

Before long, the Treasure Seeking Beast returned, followed by all the plant-type powerhouses—including the god-level ones.

The Treasure Seeking Beast nodded at Lan Xuanyu. “Master, I’ve spoken with them. Most of them are willing to come with us.”

Lan Xuanyu twitched at the corner of his mouth. “Little Trea, don’t mess around. How can these senior beings all leave with us? The academy…”

Elder Jin stepped forward, bowed respectfully to Lan Xuanyu, and said, “My Lord, you need not worry. We will handle matters with the academy.”

Wang Tianyu’s expression changed dramatically. “Elder Jin, what are you planning?”

A stunningly beautiful woman stepped forward from behind Elder Jin. She wore a long red dress and emitted a faint crimson glow. She looked almost human. As she moved, the surrounding space warped slightly, as if rejecting her presence.

“Little Wang, just hear us out. We’re leaving with the Lord for the good of the academy,” she said.

“Elder Lie, what do you mean?” Wang Tianyu asked, confused.

“Lord Bao, please explain,” the woman in red said respectfully to the Treasure Seeking Beast.

The Treasure Seeking Beast chuckled. “Plant-type soul beasts who’ve achieved human form are all quite talented. But in this world without immortal energy, reaching that level is extremely difficult. I simply couldn’t bear to watch them waste away. I wanted to show them a better path.”

“Don’t be mysterious—just explain it,” Lan Xuanyu interrupted, sensing that Pavilion Master Wang was about to explode with rage.

The Treasure Seeking Beast cleared its throat. “Here’s the thing. These plants need to continually absorb life energy and refine it to elevate themselves. That’s the only path for plant-type soul beasts. Living in Eternal Sky City means they rely on the Eternal Tree’s life energy to evolve—in essence, they’re drawing from Douluo Planet’s life force. However, because they themselves hold pure life energy, they don’t deplete the planet’s reserves, and balance is maintained.

“But Douluo Planet’s life energy is finite. Though it has reached a divine level, the number of divine beings it can support is also limited. Human soul masters already occupy most of those slots, making it nearly impossible for plant-type soul beasts to reach godhood—unless they have extraordinary natural gifts and luck. Currently, there are only six god-level plant-type soul beasts here, and even they benefited from your father, the old master. The rest stand little chance. That’s why they’re willing to bond with soul masters—if their bonded human becomes a god, they may reach that level too.

“I used to manage the Divine Realm Nursery for His Majesty the Dragon God, so I know these plants better than anyone. I can help all of them reach godhood. Of course they want to come with me! Besides, if they leave, it will greatly reduce the burden on the Eternal Tree. Then all the planet’s absorbed life energy can go toward its own evolution to the next level.”

“You can’t take them all!” Wang Tianyu finally snapped, nearly roaring the words.
